Well yes. If you have gone through PMO professional's responsibilities and found it interesting then you are a good fit. Just get a good experience at your first job like at least 2 to 3 years then move to another. That will get you enough insight of the role and also keep learning new PMO types. Generally speaking there are PMOs that support projects, programmes and portfolios within organisations. There are also PMOs that focus entirely on providing guidance and support in good practice. You will need to learn as much as possible from your organisation and also implement it in your work. PMO people have to self-adapt their training knowledge because there are minimal PMO specific training courses available. Also look for additional development in areas such as analysis and data management, quality management, coaching and mentoring and business operations which helps in their primary role as custodians of good project management practice in organisations.

As a PMO Executive, there is Hugh potential in career path. PMO is heart of company and hence if you have master degree in management and possess good experience of company’s relevant services then there is definitely good opportunity to build up good Carrier in PMO. There are no limits for good package as if you have master degree in management and having degree in technical field which is relevant to your current job and min 2.5 years experience then that would be boost your career as well.

Speaking from the experince of a collegue,the role of PMO in TCS depends majorly on the project. PMO basically deals with the project management and project funding and is majorly to the business side. Check your role in ultimatix if it reflects PMO and not developer its great otherwise the project can limit your role to just filling excels and reminding colleagues to fill their timesheets which will make sure you have no learning.The role is amazing and can be very strongly exploited if you are eager to join the business part of the company.
