Hi Elizabeth, I had this problem. I realized there was no problem with the phone, but the case it was in was putting too much stress on the tablet which inhibited the home and other keys. Once I took it out of the case, it was fine. Another solution if above not work, Go to settings > my device > display > touch key light duration, set to 1.5 seconds. Have one question, is it happened after you updated the firmware.?
Why is the charging port of samsung galaxy s5 is different? If we charge it with different charger e.g. Note 2 charger, will there be any problem?
Dear Junaid!S5 is the most feature rich smartphone I have ever seen and had the pleasure of owning!The Samsung Galaxy S5 has an USB 3.0 port which facilitates 10 times faster data rates than the conventional ports!These are used and can be seen in high speed portable devices and hardisks !It also charges your s5 2 times faster when you charge it from a USB 3.0 port with a USB 3.0 cable!The USB 3.0 port is backward compatible. So there should be no problems charging with the regular mirco USB chargers like that of a NOTE 2!cheers!

My friend unfortunately I have bad news for you, while your display still works it is permanently damaged. There is no fixing this issue, there is only replacing the screen with a new one.What has happened is the display has been damaged below the first layer of glass, you cannot see the damage because the front glass is covering it, by removing the front glass you will be able to see the damage.It must be a minor crack in your LED, small enough to only distort the display and not make it go out completely.But its only a mater of time before the device gets bumped to hard or dropped and it will finish the small crack and make the display stop working completely.Its time for a new screen.
