Games Randomly Uninstall Themselves From Steam

Games randomly uninstall themselves from Steam?

Like a lot of people seem to, I have an issue with steam where games seem to uninstall themselves from Steam. This generally happens if I exit steam and log back on it but has happened other times as well, leaving me with no choice but to reinstall the game. And that takes quite a few hours, since I live in the countryside. I recently installed Fallout New Vegas and played it for a couple hours only to find it uninstalled the next time I went on steam. Is there a way to prevent this from happening in the future?

The games on my Xbox One keep uninstalling by themselves if I don't play a game for a while, does it automatically uninstall (mainly games that are NOT on discs)?

This has happened to me once before. The games uninstalled, but the space was still used…it didn’t free up any space. Although for me, after a quick power cycle the games showed up again….apparently they didn’t uninstall, they just weren’t listing for some reason. To power cycle just press and hold the Xbox Logo on your console for about 8-10 seconds until the console shuts off.

How do I fix Steam uninstalling my games automatically?

First of all check your steam library folder. If the game folder is still there and steam doesn't find it and is downloading the game again then you could try verifying the game cache. If that doesn't work try searching in the community. There's a few solutions listed in the forums. If those don't work then you're stuck downloading the game again like me.If you don't find the game folder in your library folder then once again check the forums as I can be of no assistance in this case. Thanks for the A2A.Thanks for reading.

Why does Steam randomly uninstall games? Is there a way to fix this?

No, actually it doesn't uninstall the game . It happened to me before . Sometimes due to some unusual crashes or sudden termination of the steam client bootstraper. The steam cliet thinks the game files might be missing and probable source of crashes. But actually nothing is wrong with the files nor with steamWhen you dont see the game in your library, dont panic! Simply search the game in the store and download it. When it prompts for installation directory, select the directory where the game previously was installed. Then proceed to download. However the steam doesnt actually download the game, it verifies for pre-existing files, and downloads some cache files(1–500mb max) if needed, and the game will be back in your library. Be patient it takes some time to discover pre-existing files and then verify it depending upon the read/write speed of your HDD. Just be patient and steam will do everything on its own. Upvote and Thanks!

Can you sell/trade games on your Steam library?

As others have pointed out already, it is impossible to sell the games you bought on Steam. You don't buy keys there, you just get games that are instantly activated on your account. The latter you might try to resell, but it's a) not OK according to EULAs, b) highly impractical, as you would have to create a separate account for each of your games. Now, reselling games was possible via Steam Gifts, but Steam's policy on these was changed about two years ago. Gifts no longer go to your inventories, instead they are immediately sent to the recipient. If they don't accept it, you just get a refund. And as far as cross-country gifting is concerned, if there is a serious price disparity between regions, this option is simply unavailable. This does not apply to pre-change gifts, so if you have anything left, you can still do Steam trades. If you'd like to swap your stuff for extra moolah, you can put them up on sale on gaming marketplaces, such as G2A. There are millions of customers there, so I'm pretty sure you'll sell leftover copies in no time.

Do sims get pregnant by themselves? Sims 3?

Theoretically, if you have story progression turned on, NPCs in town should be getting married and having babies without your influence. In my experience, though, that doesn't happen. In my game, before I installed mods, story progression would move an entire family into town (mother, father, a few kids). The kids grew up but never got married and never had children of their own. When the adult children grew old and died, the game moved another new family in. This happened over the course of a few Sim generations, so it wasn't just a temporary glitch.

If you want more control over whether NPCs have children, I really recommend mods. I really like Twallan's Story Progression: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/storyprogres... If you install master controller as well, you can interfere directly in Sims' lives by killing Sims remotely or giving a specific couple a baby by using the Pollinate or Instant Baby option: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/mastercontro...

Do dryers turn themselves off automatically?

I am about to go to bed, and I have some clothes drying in the dryer.
My mom is gone for the week(she usually does the laundry) which leaves me and my dad.
My dad says that the dryer should automatically stop when the cycle is over but I'm not sure if I should take his word for it.
Will my dryer shut itself off when its done drying? Or do I have to stay up and turn it off myself?

Am I under surveillance if screenshots are being taken randomly time-to-time of my PC, or is it any software that is taking screenshots? It is Dropbox that is saving screenshots, but I am not giving any commands to make screenshots.

Before I answer Your Question.... if possible just tell me about your Operating System and the antivirus you use....                                            Now the AnswerShould you worry About it?No need to worry much about this thing... It is most probably some software that you might have installed unknowingly or some friend of yours who has physical access to your computer and wants to play some prank on you  can do that..... Can it be Government?        As far as Government agencies are concerned, they have much more series matter to handle than taking screen shots on your computer..... they don't do such useless things unless you are a most wanted criminal of someone like Osama Bin Laden :DCan it be done remotely? It can be done remotely. One example is using windows remote desktop connection it comes pre installed with with windows OS (You can find it under programs>accessories> Remote Desktop Connection) but to use this feature you must know the IP address of the PC that you wanna control..... and again for getting an ip address one must have physical access to your PC.Is it difficult?Yeah, You can call it a little complex and i don't think so that someone would want to go to such an extent....Any other softwares that can do that? Here is a link to the list of some popular softwares that take screen shots both for windows and mac.... take a look:Five Best Screen Capture ToolsSolutions:So don't worry the solution is simple.... as already stated in some answers.....just go to your control panel and remove any program that you have not installed or you think that looks a little suspicious...... the best way is to simply backup your important files and format your pcHope it helps and thanks for A2A....!!!
