My friend unfortunately I have bad news for you, while your display still works it is permanently damaged. There is no fixing this issue, there is only replacing the screen with a new one.What has happened is the display has been damaged below the first layer of glass, you cannot see the damage because the front glass is covering it, by removing the front glass you will be able to see the damage.It must be a minor crack in your LED, small enough to only distort the display and not make it go out completely.But its only a mater of time before the device gets bumped to hard or dropped and it will finish the small crack and make the display stop working completely.Its time for a new screen. Hello i have done some research for you and your gonna wanna hold the home button, down volume button, and the power button at the same time... your phone has to be plugged into the computer well doing this because it will automatically set your phone into download mode!! good luck this might only work on Galaxy S but give it a try that is all i could find :)

That is damage to the LCD screen - the inner display. Tablets will have 2 screens - the outer glass and the inner display. The crack can be caused by pressure or drops and it is possible to happen without cracking the touch screen, although rarer. The LCD screen can be replaced on nearly any tablet. It depends on your exact model. You can get replacement screens for fairly inexpensive assuming it is a popular tablet style. If you cant find a replacement screen for it then you will likely need to live with the crack as there is no way to repair the LCD screen already inside your device. Replacement is the only way. Also - don't be cheap when it comes to replacement screens - avoid shady eBay sellers, Amazon, and Repairsuniverse in nearly all cases (from experience). How much does it cost to repair a screen on the Samsung Galaxy S4? Where would I go to get this repair done?
My father gave me the Samsung Galaxy S4 last month. I love it! Bad news is I dropped it this morning and the screen cracked. Everything works fine. I can still touch and text and talk it just looks horrible and sometimes is hard to read. It isn't rigid or anything its still smooth when i touch it so I am guessing that it is something underneath that cracked? So my questions are 2. 1) where would I even go to get this fixed? I have no idea!!! Since I didn't buy it and my dad bought it in another state and it has no insurance I am not sure where to even start. 2) How much am I looking at needing for the cost?
