Give me a break.You want to call me privileged? Go ahead. Call me privileged. But call me privileged because I had two parents who gave a crap about each other and about their kids. Call me privileged because they understood the value of education. Call me privileged because I had a community and adults in my life that gave a damn about me and wanted me to succeed.I grew up in a neighborhood where people were right on the edge of what used to be called respectability, and it was easy to see who had it and who didn’t. I could take one look at the kid across the alley and even though we were the same age, color and height and both had red hair, anyone could tell as much as they wanted in an instant. He was at the low end of working class and it showed. Red neck, son of what used to be called poor white trash. Spend an instant with him and you knew his parents were probably divorced and drank too much, that they were barely barely making it but still had to buy nice things (even if they pawned them later) to keep up appearances. This kid wasn’t getting breaks from cops if he got caught speeding, didn’t have a network of wealthy people to give him a leg up. Basically all the crap that’s said to come with white privilege didn’t apply to this kid or 50 other white kids like him at our school.One girl managed to work her way up supporting herself and her sisters through high school and got into a private religious college on a combo of scholarships and need-based aid, and what happened? Got bogusly accused of theft by some rich kid and dropped out, because she was poor in a way she couldn’t hide. Made it in the military though because that’s one thing the non-privileged kids can do.But come on in here and tell me about how these guys all have white privilege.

How are people getting such a huge amount of the new ₹2000 notes amounting to many crores?

I am surprised only a few of the answers written here answer the question, others just have random so called solutions to convert black money to white.It is a shameful fact that there is a hell lot of new currency that is in circulation today illegally, every day there is atleast one case of some person getting caught with lakhs of rupees in new currencies all across the country comes up. As Dexter Rash mentions in his answer “Indians are sadly very good at jugaad” .Most of the sources for this currencies, have been mentioned in other answers, i would compile everything together and add a couple of other ways in which it is done:There are two steps:Step 1: Exchange the old currencies with the new ones for a hefty commission rates.Step 2: Make fake transactions to convert the old notes that the banks have into new ones.For step 1, the major source of money is the money that is allotted to be loaded into ATM’s , this is done with the help of the agencies that are given the contract by the banks to load the ATM’s, no wonder why the ATM’s were running short of cash, like crazy.For Step 2 as many have already mentioned:Withdrawing money in the name of fake people, what i mean is that if a person goes to withdraw his share of money on a particular day, in the name persons name the withdrawal would be done the following day.[To counter this though the policy of signing with the date of withdrawal on the identity proof’s xerox copy was introduced. (I doubt though if this policy did any good). ]Fake marriage cases created, and withdrawal based on that. [ This is a seriously one of the bad implemented policies, that backfired. I cant think of any better possible moves though.Fake accounts and use of Jandhan accounts and using the above mentioned steps. (This is not that easy though).What can we as common man do to counter these moves?One thing, is keep vigilant and check for unusual activity in our bank accounts and report if any withdrawal and deposition is found. I can’t speak for all HR professionals, and since I’m not a recruiter I don’t see many, usually only for Director and above, but here are my personal cringes:Useless buzzwords (synergy, dialogue, etc)Useless self-descriptors (self-starter, motivated, etc)I’m not a huge stickler for grammar, people are human- but my one peeve is when someone changes tenses during their summary:Utilized advanced theory and statistical modeling to increase user spend by 14% (past tense)Collaborate with Marketing to understand mix-model concerns, provide business recommendations to address (present tense)I tend to roll my eyes a bit at the “glory paragraph” that’s written in the beginning- telling me how wonderful you are, all in the third person. I usually don’t read it, I just want to see your experienceUseless content. If I find myself asking “why?” or “to what impact?” then it’s likely I’ll just recommend passing on the candidate. Examples:Developed new SEO optimization platform to help lower agency costs while increasing performance 8% YOY.  This is a good example of using the right verb (Personally developed, so I can understand that you were the creator of this), a good “what” (solving an issue) and two results of the impact.  Compare it to this one, which usually counts as a small internal strike:Worked on a new SEO platform in order to optimize campaigns. This doesn’t tell me to what level of responsibility you had with the project, if it succeeded or failed, etc.

Why does someone keep showing up in my tinder even though I swipe left?

You've likely had the app for a while and/or live in a small town. Online dating sites/apps are about a prolific as bars these days, and there are only so many single people in each city using each site/app.I remember when Tinder first started a few years ago, I'd swipe through the entire dating pool within about 15 minutes in major metropolitan areas like Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Reno, etc.Then they implemented a feature that limited free swipes.Even traveling I run out of matches on Tinder very quickly, because it's just an impulse app for me. Why are elderly people no longer looked after by their family, but are put in old age homes or somewhere else?

I think the question is “why are seniors put in homes instead of cared for by families anymore.”The major problem Imho is that advancing technology in medical care has surpassed mental health care for elders.Alzheimer’s and dementia patients exhibit behaviors that are too debilitating for a family home environment to address.For their own safety and well being, as well as their family members, an institution is better equipped to care for them than the family home.Family life is not structured the same as it was in the past with generations living together and people around all the time.For starters: families are smaller now. Where we once all had many siblings, now families choose to only have 2–3 kids. That means we only have one or two siblings to help in the care for our parents.We mostly live in houses with parents and young offspring. When the kids mature they move out leaving parents home alone. If the remaining parents work, there is no one at home all day. Who’s there to mind the aged senior?Those of us who do provide care have to essentially give up our own lives for our parent because managing their lives is all consuming.We have to know in depth about their health issues, their prescriptions, manage their health providers, their health insurance plans, their finances, their legal issues and community resources just to name a few.All the while we are providing transportation to appointments, buying food and supplies and otherwise helping them manage their daily life.In the meantime, seniors often are resistant to the help they get and many are in denial about their Physical limitatations.It’s a very sad and frustrating job to have, witnessing your parents decline day after day. Besides the hard work involved it’s a 24/7 job with NO breaks, NO relief and sometimes no help or even company.You never know how long your care will be needed but you do know the outcome is not going to be a good one. That is very hard to live with. In many cases they don’t even remember who you are. In extreme cases they can become mean and actually physically aggressive.It is nothing like raising a child. When raising a child your end goal is to see them grow and thrive on their own. Not so with the aged.No matter how hard you try to be kind and uplifting, to try to make the best of your final time with your parent, the end of their life is approaching. There’s nothing you can do about it. If you could, would it be a good thing? I dunno.

Great film.But for this question, the relevant bit is the IBM mainframe.NASA used a large team of women - “computers” - to hand-compute solutions to complex analytical equations. At most, they would have an early calculator to help them. Otherwise it would be slide rules and log tables.Then the “IBM 7090 HAS” mainframe arrived.It could do 24,000 multiplications in one second.The ‘human computers’ would be out of a job.For me, the hero of the story here was Dorothy Vaughn.
