Why do so many young girls want to be models?
In my freshman year health class, my teacher asked the girls in the class, do you want to called smart or pretty? A lot of girls raised their hands for smart. Then she said, if you overheard someone talking about you, would you be happier if they said "oh my gosh, Samantha is so smart!" or "oh my gosh, Samantha is so pretty!"Hesitation.She meant it as an example of how girls are pressured to be pretty. Women are sadly, very often judged and valued by their looks first, abilities second. For men, it is very much the other way around.As a test, next time you see a woman speak on a news channel, imagine if it were a man saying the exact same words she was saying. Would you listen to him differently? How about if the woman was less attractive? Would you be less likely to think she was credible?It's sad because your looks are genetically hardwired when you're born. No amount of hard work can change your genes. Very capable women face a glass ceiling if they aren't what society thinks is attractive.Being a model by definition essentially means you are attractive. For girls, that means instant value. For boys, they must work towards becoming valuable, either by going to the gym, learning new skills, succeeding in a career, etc. Our society seems to think these skills are pluses for girls who are pretty; an average skilled, beautiful girl is still more valued in society then a highly skilled, average looking girl.So in that way, it makes complete sense that girls want to be models just like how boys want to be athletic/successful. They want to be valued. However, one is predetermined when you're born while the other can be achieved through hard work. It's sad that we criticize girls for being superficial, then punish them for not being pretty enough.
Why Do So Many Girls Want To Become Models?
Believe it or not but I took a Women's Studies course just last semester and I wrote a paper based on "The Beauty Myth"... Some people may disagree, but the male dominated industry of advertising in America is one of the bullies that keep women as nothing but body parts. These guys are running off with millions while American women strive hard to attain a totally exaggerated and completely skewed view of bodily perfection. Makeup companies and cosmetic plastic surgeons are cashing on these insecurities. Some women want to be stick thin like those runway models, others want that faux Barbie look seen in Playboy...either way, those looks are completely unnatural and demeaning! Take care of your body as best as you can and love it. No need to starve yourself or have a "doctor' plunge a knife into you and mold you into a stranger. The women who want to be models see the attention the models receive...they are idolized by dumber than dirt males and envied by equally shallow women. Honestly, less than like 1% of hopefulls make it into modeling and those who do only get like 15 minutes of fame. Trends are always changing and who is hot today may be old news tomorrow. It's a cruel world. Who will be the flavor of the week today? Everyone is somewhat attracted to the glitzy world of models, but who wants to deal with the negatives of it? I'm not saying all models are shallow vile creatures (my girlfriend models on the side for A&F), just that the modeling world nowadays is as fake as Pamela Anderson's you know whats.
Why do you want to be a model.?

You can show movement in a still picture, and I think that is incredible to be able to have that skill. If you want to be a male model, its YOUR life decision, dont care about what your friends say. I find male models kinda cute, to be honest. It wont be hard finding a girl, trust me, youll be hot. It makes good money and etc. :)
Why does every girl want to model?
In a girl's eyes, being a model means she is beautiful. Not only is she beautiful in her own eyes, she now feels validated as beautiful to society. The lifestyle also seems glamorous, which is every child's dream.
Can a girl who is 5‘2“ become a model?

You don't have to be tall,beautiful, slim, tall, and photogenic, know how to act etc. You may require some of the above to be on the cover of the magazine, but you may also have to attain certain skills talents or features that can make you famous; Your Legs, Hands and Eyes are just a few examples. Are all movie stars gorgeous or tall? Being short does not mean you can't be model, it means if you can't do runway modeling, it does not limit you to other types of modeling. My girlfriend wants to take photos as a model with a few photographers. How can I support her even if I'm feeling jealous?
Start with yourself. You need to get very clear about your own self worth and boost your self esteem. Realize you are equal to any guy out there and that you deserve a great relationship. Be mature and cool about this. Don't fear. Fear is toxic to a relationship. Remember she chose you. She is with you for a reason. The fact you support this shows strength and integrity on your part. That is a credit to you. You are a good guy.We always end up with the right person for the time. If this experience causes her to cheat, you are being shown what kind of person she is. If she is the type to cheat she will, no matter what. If she is not the type to cheat, she won't, no matter what she is doing. Its not about the person she's with, but her own morals and level of operation. That has nothing to do with you or your level of operation. What that means is this photo shoot is no real problem. What it is, is a way to show you who your girl really is, and if she is capable of having a committed relationship. It may make her very happy and strengthen your relationship.Remember, we date to gain experience and to learn what we want and don't want in a permanent relationship. If she does something you don't find acceptable, then that is something you have found out, and you then realize you want a better situation.You know, its never really about you when a girl cheats, and visa versa. If a person is going to cheat, its about their NATURE. It wouldn't matter who she was with.So I would advise you go into this staying on your own highest standard. Give her the benefit of the doubt. Don't go into this polluting it with fear and insecurity. Be a support for her by realizing that the meaning of true love is wanting the other person to be happy and to realize their potential. Be a confident, supportive guy. Don't give the impression you are insecure and quaking in your boots in fear. You're above that. Don't prejudge. You're THE guy. Be cool and happy she is doing something she wants to do.

Practice. You don’t have to pay a photographer if you just want to practice. Professional models on commercial shoots will have a makeup artist and stylist, but when you’re starting out you’re on your own. There’s no shortage of makeup tutorials on Youtube - one of my favorites is Pixiwoo: https://www.youtube.com/user/pix...Find a local photography club or photography meetup group - these are often in need of amateur models. You likely won’t get paid but you get practice and experience in front of the camera. You might get great photos back, you might get crap, but even if the photos are mediocre you’ll be able to evaluate your own performance, poses, expressions, and interaction with light. And, you’ll get experience working with photographers, being in front of the camera, and taking direction. IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all photo clubs are created equal. Some are great and professionally-run, some are poorly run and full of creeps.Stay humble. Take direction and critique without feeling personally insulted. However, at the same time, if you ever feel unsafe, you have the power to pack your things and leave.Once you have a hundred shoots under your belt, pick your best results that are in the style of modeling that you want to pursue, and present them to an agency.
I want to do some modeling but i feel so shy?
Modeling will not help you overcome shyness. You have to get over your shyness first if you want any chance of being a model. Think about it - you will be going to casting calls with 25-50 other models and only 1 is going to get the job. Nobody is going to notice the shy girl and you won't get the job. Confidence is the most important thing a model needs - you can have the face, the body and the height but if there is no confidence nobody is going to pick you at an audition. Shyness shows up in your body language whether you realize it or not In modeling there will always be someone taller or prettier or with a better body. If you can't deal with that, then modeling is not for you But this is not the end of the world. People can overcome their shyness. But you need to start small - get involved in anything that requires you to perform in front of others - drama club, choir, band, speech/debate club, cheerleading, any type of sport, drill team, etc, etc,etc. Any time you have to be performing in front of an audience for any reason you are building your confidence. Once you are comfortable with that, then start to look into modeling Otherwise your shyness is going to prevent you from getting booked on jobs
Why a lot of girls want to be Instagram models nowadays?
Most Instaboys and girls are attention-starved and have some sort of void that they feel could be filled by the overuse of social media platforms. It has nothing to do with the existence of the platform because plenty of people continue to resist the lure of the internet and celebrity. Some run to it because they think it makes them more persuasive in some way or another, more popular, cooler, and even better than those without the same number of followers. Others want to be influencers for businesses or concepts. Why people seek fame is largely unknown, but the act of seeking it is equivalent to an addict getting her fix.
