Dumb question.. is my boyfriend listening to sad songs to get over his ex..help?
I've been dating my ex for 3 months and things have been great. i feel like he would do anything for me. he's surprised me with flowers, taken me out, makes me food and tea when i'm sick, always wants to be with me, has driven to my house which isn't very close because i was upset about something, he even recently told me he loves me and says it all the time now... but I've always felt he may not be over his other ex. he was soo crazy about her but she messed with his feelings big time. I've asked him about it a lot because i'm kind of insecure about it and he ALWAYS reassures me that i'm wrong and he only wants me and is over her. but he listens to upsetting love or breakup songs often ish and I've also asked him about that and he says he just likes the music... i know i sound nuts but he was really into her so i feel he may be listening to those songs and using me to get over it... am i crazy? should i believe him when he says he only wants me now even if he's listening to these dumb songs?

My girlfriend sings just about every song on the radio. And i can tell when one has some history based on how she sings, but ive noticed how her singing changes, some songs had painful memories but got happier as our relationship grew. I always just let her sing her heart out and never brought it up. It helps with her pains and getting through them, she sings quite a bit happier now even to the same old sad songs she used to share with someone else.Shes a person, she had a relationship that she probably thought was going to never end with another person, and even bad relationships have good memories. Only good memories can help mend the bad ones, give her good memories and love her with what you have, thats all anyone can do.
