Who is feeding the massive caravan of 4,000+ migrants coming from Honduras to the US border? A movement this large would require LOTS of resources.
That is a great question. I was a food service and subsistence specialist in the Marine Corps and I can tell you that just being able to keep them from starving to death let alone have the calories to cover the distance they are attempting is a huge task. The largest number I provided subsistence for in the field was a marine air ground task force with around 3k personnel. We were making B rations which were dehydrated and the most effective way to safely and efficiently provided food in the field. We had a 10,000 square foot warehouse that had to be restocked once a week and it took 3 crews of twelve working 24hrs to prepare the food. It took another 60 people to transport serve and take care of the waste. The amount of food we produced could theoretically sustain this group of about 7k but they would rapidly loose weight and after a few weeks would not be able to continue. There must be some type of organization either traveling with or staying ahead of this caravan. the local towns themselves could not feed them as the stock kept in grocery stores are not meant to sit on shelves for more than a few days.

Think about your question for a second: the president of the United States, who controls all of our intelligence agencies, the Department of Homeland Security, etc. is obtaining information from Fox? How would Sean Hannity know more than, say, an analyst looking at satellite photographs of the caravan?But there’s more. Why would “unknown Middle Easterners” fly to Honduras just to walk for several months in a large group of people that the Border Patrol is tracking constantly? Wouldn’t it be easier to fly to, say, Toronto and drive down from there? Or overstay a legitimate visa?If these Middle Easterners are obvious to Sean, won’t they be obvious to the Border Patrol — who can simply reject them at the border?And given that — according to the Trump-Hannity Nonsense Recycling Network — many people in that caravan have leprosy, smallpox and TB, odds are all those “unknown Middle Easterners” will be dead long before they reach the border in January or so.Trump was briefed that the caravan will diminish in size before reaching the border, and only “a few hundred” are likely to apply for asylum.
