Going Into Highschool Soon Freshman Tips

Any advice for a freshman going into high school?

I cannot make the answer short so please take time to read. Afterall its matter of life ;-)Someone rightly said that when you are young, possibilities are limitless.Have a hard look at the below image and keep this in mind. You are in 1st stage where you have a lot of time and energy. You may or may not have lot of money. But even if you have it would be your parent's.My advice is to make full use of time while you can. Some points are :-Avoid wasting too much time on social media like fb, Instagram, etc. Quora is alright to find your area of interest.Do not procrastinate. Ever. Always follow the 5 minutes rule that if a work can be done in 5 or less minutes do it now.Now a days if you talk to anyone, they all will whine about lack of time. Truth is not the lack of time but the lack of time management. Divide your activities in 4 parts.Important + urgent = do it nowImportant + not urgent = plan and start giving sometime to it everyday otherwise one day it will become urgentNot important + urgent = can be set lower in priorityNot important + not urgent = do not waste time. If you avoid this then you will have surplus time everydayTodays era of WhatsApp demands you to be available all the time. Make a difference. Mute all group conversation.Sooner than later you will come to know about various tv series. While they are good stress buster but avoid binge watching unless you are done with all work. These covered time part. Now let's see what can be done on energy part.In high school who studies too much are termed as geek or nerd. So have some fun too. Make good memories but do not waste energy on worthless adventures.Practice some meditation daily. Yes, you will always be in flash mode but take a break a d have healthy food. Junk food can be tried but not too frequent.Find your passion or hobbies and when you get time, dedicate that time and energy in the passion rather than mindless surfing internet.Although you will not be having your money but still you do get pocket money if i am not wrong.Manage that as well. Since you will find yourself either short of money or just enough money, hence learning difference between the “price” and “value” is very important.Final lines, in youth, manage time and energy in such a way that when you become professional, you will be so efficient that you will never face problem of having less time. That's the key to a happy life.

What are some good tips for a freshman in high school? (Currently in 8th grade)

Keep records of everything you do in every class, even PE.Study for tests because for most teachers, that makes up the majority of the grades.Be more organized.Meet the right peopleDon’t spread yourself too thin.Join clubs and other extracurricular activities.FRESHMAN YEAR MATTERSTrust me, you are going to like high school a lot more. There’s way more freedom. But with more freedom comes more responsibility. There are no make up courses or a little packet to fill out whenever you fail a class. So, you have to be on top with all of your classes. There will be people you encounter who want to buffer your success (some may be the ones you called friends from your middle school) and you need to cut those people off immediately and find new friends that share common interests and goals as you.Hope this helped! Good luck! :)

I am soon to be a Freshman in high school what are some helpful tips to one have fun in high school and get good grades?

ahhhh, high school…I LOVE IT!! (plz no)when I started out at high school I was both exited and terrified as I was going as the only kid from my primary school that was going to my high school. My school calls kids like me singletons (kinda cringy but y’know) Some pointers I can give you are:-talk to people (I knew no-one so making friends was my no.1 approach)-pay attention to your teachers in class (for grades)-make jokes and talk to your teachers to get to know them better therefore making a better relationship with that teacher therefore getting a higher chance of good grades for attitude (also they sometimes will have more leeway on your side if you haven’t finished an assignment or homework)-come to school prepared, maybe even put extra pens, pencils etc so that when someone asks to borrow a pen you can be the friendly person.-create a good vibe/ impression for yourself from the first day, some ways I did this was by using the fact I love art and play guitar and I found people with the same interests as me so I quickly made friends with those people.highschool has been fun for me so far. Overall I’m a year 10 student and I have made so many good memories with friends, teachers and peers. I’m sure you’ll be fine in high school so don’t worry too much. It may seem intimidating at fist because of the amount of people in your year group drastically increases and content you lean begins to get harder, but I do love making these memories and adventuring on excursions etc. I hope all goes well for you at high school, good luck :)

Freshman going into high school color guard: any tips for a complete beginner?

Flags will be provided. (but it never hurts to practice with a broomstick at home.) There are a ton of color guard videos on You tube for reference. The best thing you can do prior to auditioning (besides asking somebody already in guard what you should practice) is getting in shape. Stretch everyday and start running. It takes a lot of flexibility and stamina to be in the guard, Good luck!

Things a high school freshman should know?

A lot of the answers above seem to essentially say that high school is hell. While this may be true to a certain extent, there are two important things to remember. First, to a certain extent, high school is whatever you make of it. Second, even if you think it's hell at the time, you'll probably look back at your experience years later and look at these years as some of the best years of your life. So, with that in mind, here are some suggestions:

* Meet lots of people, in whatever way works for you. Whether you say hello to the people sitting around you in class, the cafeteria, the lounge, the bus, etc., or you join a club, a choir or a band, a sports team, or whatever. Knowing lots of interesting people is your ticket to having a lot of fun.
* Take chances. Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Before you take this advice, ensure that you're good at figuring out what could kill you, so you avoid those activities (-: When you look back, you'll regret more the great things you didn't do than the bad things you did.
* Have fun. This is the last time for a while that you'll have a lot of free time to do whatever you want, so make the most of it.
* Don't completely blow off school. If you don't graduate high school, you'll likely have a hard time with getting a good job afterwards.
* Find your own little niche in high school. Perhaps the best way is to find an area in which you can excel, and go for it. Whether it's music, drama, cheerleading, writing, field hockey, mathematics, being the most fashionable, being a social butterfly, or whatever, it's all good. High school is your last chance to savour the feeling of being a "big fish in a small pond".
* Finally, one thing that worked well for me but might not for you: Always sit at the back of the bus (-:
