Good Songs/artists For Running And Lifting

What are some songs by other artists similar to Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir"?

In late 1975 the band Genesis, having just suffered the departure of their lead singer, Peter Gabriel, began writing songs for a new album which would become A Trick Of The Tail (released February 1976).Their search for a singer to replace Gabriel, and the ultimate decision to have drummer Phil Collins assume the role as lead singer, is another story; but a new song - called Squonk - initially used as an audition piece for singers, was influenced by Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir. That song, and the album Physical Graffiti, had just been released earlier in the year, so it was pretty new to the radio airwaves. I believe the story goes that one of the members of Genesis played Kashmir for the band and someone suggested that “we need to write a song like that.” And thus Squonk was born.A quote from a 2007 interview with Phil Collins:"'Squonk' was a musical standout," he said. “That was always our Zeppelin kind of song, kind of a bit of 'Kashmir,' a bit of 'When The Levee Breaks.' When you listen to it, it doesn't sound like that, but that's what it was meant to be, with the heavy guitar chords and my John Bonham hat on."Anyway, it’s a great song. Check it out if you haven’t heard it already.

What are some good rap and/or rock songs to listen to when working out, especially when weightlifting or running?

(This is taken from my answer to another similar question.)Lots of Eminem songs, really. Here's a list:Lose Yourself - can't go wrong with this classic, it's got a steady beat and a powerful message, nice buildup and chorus. “You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow; this opportunity goes once in a lifetime”Till I Collapse - As you can tell from the song title itself, it pushes you to go beyond your limits. “Cause sometimes you just feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up, but you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strengthAnd just pull that shit out of you and get that motivation to not give upAnd not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.”Berzerk - For this one it's not so much the message but rather the song's “atmosphere”; it's got an old-school feeling to it while sounding very energetic and can pump you up for any challenge.Survival - Another newer Eminem song. Sounds intense, seems especially suited for sports and physical exercise. “Cause I'm a fight 'til I die or win, biting the dust it'll just make me angrier, wait — let me remind you of what got me this far, picture me quitting, now draw a circle around it and put a line through it, slut; it's survival of what?”Hope it helped!

Trying to find song and artist for mid eighties r&b song?

here are the lyrics:Tossing and turning awake in your bed, you have many problems filling your head, what do you do when your heart aches, take your time, what do you do when your love turns sour, what you do is you call my number, baby I will help you by the hour, I'll be your friend, though you treat me like a brother, I'd would rather be your lover baby, I'll be your friend, but to love you would mean everything, You were so troubled, in a different space, questions and answers written over your face, baby what do you do when your blood runs cold, take your time, what do you do when your love falls out, what you do is you call my number baby I will lift you off the ground, I'll be your friend, though you treat me like a brother I would rather be you lover baby, I'll be your friend, but to love you would mean everything, never give up on a good thing, never give up on a love as true mine, never give up on a good thing (chorus) take your time take your time, I'll be your friend

What songs should I listen to during my workout?

Depending on your type of training, try these :• Endurance training – According to researchers at Brunel University, working out to the right music genre can result in a 15% increase in endurance. Since endurance training involves high intensity exercises, your gym members will benefit the most from music with 135 or more beats per minute. Choose fast tempo music genres such as techno, upbeat pop music, or hard rock. “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons, “Applause” by Lady Gaga, “Lonely Boys” by The Black Keys, “The Fixer” by Pearl Jam, and “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees are some of the popular options for endurance exercises.• Strength training – For strength training exercises such as weight lifting, look for songs with repetitive rhythm and about 115 to 135 beats per minute. Try playing songs from artists like the Black Eyed Peas or AC/DC, as their music usually comes with repetitive tempo that is ideal for weightlifting and other strength building exercises. You can also try songs like “Appetite for Destruction” by Guns ‘N’ Roses, “Let it Go” by Dragonette, and “Feel so Close” by Calvin Harris.• Balancing/stretching – Balancing exercises and other low-impact exercises require calm, soothing music with minimal or no vocals. This would include music with 90 to 115 beats per minute. Genres like rhythm and blues, alternative, indie rock, and soft rock are highly recommended for these exercises. Try “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons, “Come Together” by The Beatles, and “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap.• Cardio – Like strength training exercises, cardio exercises are also effective with powerful, quick, and repetitive beats. You can find some of the best cardio workout songs in genres like pop and heavy metal. Try “Domino” by Jessie J and . Electronic dance music and pop remixes are also your ideal choice. “Nothing bu the Beat” by David Guetta and “Alive” by Daft Punk are great choices for this type of exercise.Ref. : https://blog.gyminsight.com/2049...

What is the name of this amazing gospel song & who sings it?

I'm running after his grace, every stride lifts me high, (something something....) Riding in on a cloud as the sun starts to rise. So we lift up our hands and shout glory to his name, out of zion's hill salvation reigns... reigns

I'd like the lyrics to the Christian song you lift me up so i can?

Rachel Lampa - You Lift Me Up

Climbing on a cloud
Dancing on a daydream
I don’t have a doubt
Just how good this life could be
You lift me up

Running in the rain
Singing in the sunshine
Telling all the world
Why I’m so in love with life
You lift me up

CHORUS

You lift me up
I’m touching the blue sky
You lift me up
I’m on top of the world
You lift me
I’m getting closer to heaven
In every little thing I love
You lift me up

Heading for the stars
Riding on a moon beam
Taking me so far
Farther than I’ve ever been
You lift me up

Chorus

And it’s so crystal clear
I'm in love
All I'll ever want
All I’ll ever need is right here
da da da da deed um da da da da deed do
Repeat
Repeat

Chorus
