What is the best website to do chemistry Practice?

Chemistry, need explanation please!?

This question is an exercise of the "Combined gas law", which states that:

( P₁V₁ / T₁ ) = ( P₂V₂ / T₂ )

Where T is the temperature in Kelvin.

In your question,

P₁ = 760 mm Hg = 760 torr
V₁ = 3.9 L
T₁ = 0°C = 273.15 K

P₂ = 808 mm Hg = 808 torr
V₂ = ?
T₂ = -55°C = 218.15 K

So, all you do is plug in the given information into the combined gas law equation and solve for V₂ (NOTE: The "x" means multiplication). Unfortunately, I can't type fractions on Yahoo! Answers, so the best I can do is this:

( P₁V₁ / T₁ ) = ( P₂V₂ / T₂ )

( 760 torr x 3.9 L / 273.15 K ) = ( 808 torr x V₂ / 218.15 K )

Write the above equation out in fractions format and it will look MUCH nicer. Sorry for any inconvenience. Anyway, at this point, it is all simple algebraic manipulation. The answer is 2.93 L and I will leave it up to you to get to the answer.

Hope this helps! :)

How do I get a head start on grade 11 chemistry?

You need to do problems. You need an exercise book that has the answers in it. Schaum's Outline Books might be basic enough. Best way is to get a text book and the answer book and just work through it. Usually the chemistry teacher has looked at several s/he has chosen NOT to use; so ask him/her for a recommendation. There are plenty of text books out there, and there are plenty that have an answer book. I'd say you need to do 30 - 40 problems a week.
Also, math and science is cumulative. What you should have learned yesterday will be the foundation for what you learn tomorrow. If you aren't "very good at math" then I suggest you become good at it by doing math problems, as above.
An average student should be able to gets A's in High School math. If you are trying and unable to, then either you have a subnormal IQ or you have what they call "affective" issues. Basically, that means your problem is you (or your lack of self confidence). So it is obvious how to fix that...Practice.
You could also look at all the homework problems posted here and work through them...

What are the best sites to study AP Chemistry with?

Here is one spiffy site with really good AP Chem quizzes. It is very well layed out with a variety of topics. AP Chemistry Quizzes And here is one from the same site, but not labeled necessarily as "AP" but more general. So you can also check this one for anything you might need.  Chemistry Quizzes BUT. I think one of the best sites/sources is khan academy, where they have tons of free videos walking you through all sorts of chemistry topics. (Also Sal Khan is amazing).  Chemistry Khan academy also has so much more to offer so please, do not hesitate to explore. Seriously, it's free learning.And lastly, I have to include Crashcourse Chemistry on YouTube for any additional help. Hosted by Hank Green, he never ceases to make learning fun and easy. Please check the channel out, and again do not forget to explore a bit too, they have a lot to offer (I mean a lot). Chemistry - YouTube

What are some good websites for solution manuals of engineering books?

Hi I have answered a similar question in detail on here already lol, but here goes. Last year I was asking everyone similar questions and there a lots of sites to choose from, but I found a blog on hub pages which was really useful and and helped me a lot . it goes into much more detail than I could here. Link here Your Guide to Solution Manuals Online I found 2 of the sites listed to be very good and helpful, neither of them actually list loads and loads of manuals like some of the sites do i think just the very popular ones but both were very quick when I came to requesting them. here are the links to the 2 sites, but I really recommend reading the blog too. the second on eis the cheaper of the twoSolutionmanuals.org - Your 1 stop solution Manual shop. - (Solution Manuals)http://solutionmanuals.info
