Google Chrome Wont Sync

What can I use to sync Google Chrome search engines?

Chrome does a great job of this using Google Sync. You can sync bookmarks, apps, autofill, extensions, settings and themes across browsers. Access these settings from the Options menu, on the Personal Stuff tab. A Google account is required.

Why Google Chrome didn't give a 'sync now' button?

Are you referring to Google Chrome's sync settings?Chrome automatically detects any changes to your settings, and will periodically  upload modified data to Google servers. One alternative is to provide a user with a Sync button to manually send updated information to Google servers. This option does not serve any purpose, as you can temporarily disable syncing by disconnecting Chrome from your Google account. What happens when Chrome fails to sync due to lack of Internet connectivity? Does the user get prompted each time that happens? On balance, the most user friendly approach is to allow a yes/no option of connecting to your Google account for syncing, and allowing Chrome to handle the complexities of syncing in the background.

Can I force Google Chrome to sync Apps on different machines?

Try the following on both computers:Click Disconnect your Google Account (Chrome menu/wrench > Settings > Sign in section)to stop syncing on the computer.Close Chrome by going to Chrome menu/wrench > Exit (Mac: Quit).Restart Chrome.Sign in to Chrome to re-enable sync on the computer. That might work (I know, old thread but I am facing the same issue)

How do I sync all History from Chrome on desktop to my Chrome app on iOS?

On Desktop Browser, Click on three dots(options) on the top-right corner.Goto Settings, click on “Advanced Sync Settings” under ‘Sign In’.Choose the options you wanted to be updated/synced.Click ‘OK’ and move to you phone.I have iOS, to show you sample.Click on the options(burger stack icon on the top-right), Settings> On the very top, click on the ‘Sign In’ as it shows, ‘Syncing to’ with my name on the top of it.Inside that, look for ‘Sync’ and choose the ones you want to be transferred from the other devices. At the bottom of this settings page, you’ll have the option to encrypt the above information.Either with ‘google Credentials’ or ‘own Sync Passphrase’.I prefer passphrase, which adds an additional layer of security for your data.

Why do my deleted bookmarks reappear in Google Chrome?

It's possible your Chrome Sync data is corrupt.  Clearing the data from Google's servers and starting clean is an easy way to fix this.  Note: this does not delete bookmarks from Chrome or any synced devices. To stop and clear your synced data or reset a sync passphrase, follow these steps:Open your Google Dashboard. Make sure you are signed in to your Google Account.Click Stop and Clear to stop syncing and clear all of your synced data.Click OK.Note: You only need to do this once. It will stop sync on all of your devices. Your data will still be available in Chrome on your device(s).source: https://support.google.com/chrom...After you do this, you should be able to resume sync and see the data match across all of your devices (without the deleted items reappearing).

How Do I Remotely Remove Data from Local Google Chrome Sync Instances?

Sorry to hear about the stolen computer. Google does need to make this one easier to find:Sign out of Chrome or delete a synced account Go to option 3Good luck!Edit:  Let this be a lesson unto me: Never Google something at 3am and post it without checking. Neal Jacob very kindly pointed out my mistake, the above won't help if you don't have the device. So as of right now, best as I can tell, changing Google password is about all you can do. Which is what Neal said in the first place.  :/

Why don't my Chrome bookmarks automatically sync between my Android and desktop Chrome browsers? I can't find any setting that links them via my Google account.

For Chrome not to sync automatically indicates that either both or one of your Chrome browsers is not setup.Make sure in Chrome Browser desktop you are signed in with your Google account via the menu button (more_vertical / vertical ellipsis) then click Settings. The first thing you should see is the “Web browsing with Google smarts” (assuming you are using the latest chrome version). Click “Sign in” once signed everything should be syncing. On your phone click the menu button (more_vertical / vertical ellipsis ) then Settings. You should see “Sign in to Chrome” which then you tap on. Once signed in everything will start syncing. On the Google Chrome desktop under Bookmark manager initially you should just seen Bookmark bar and Other bookmarks. On you phone you will see Mobile bookmarks, Bookmarks bar and Other bookmarks. When bookmarking via your phone all bookmarks go into Mobile bookmarks be default. If you want to move it you will need to edit the bookmark tap on the current folder location, Mobile bookmarks, then browse to a new locations. Once you save your first bookmark to Mobile bookmarks a similar one will appear in Google Chrome desktop under Bookmark manager.Hope this helps.Note: It is possible that a sync password was used which under “Advanced sync settings” at the bottom it will indicate so if “All data was encrypted with your sync password”
