Google Email Keeps Saying Its From My Email When I Send Messages On My Phone

I was sent a message through my facebook page saying I was a winner of 200,000.00 in the facebook lottery,?

It was sent by the creator of facebook Zack something I can't remember his last name. I was wondering if this is a scam or not. It's asking for money for insurance, processing and something else about 300.00 dollars worth. Is this a scam...

My mom keeps going through my phone. Help?

Get a goggle voice account and setup a google phone number.

Then install the google voice app from the App Store.

You will have to give all your peeps a new number but you can keep it 100% private because when you sign out of the google app on your phone, she won't be able to see anything that you sent during the day. And when you sign out of the app it will stop the messages from showing up on your phone.

You can also use the free google voice texting on your computer.

I dont know how tech savvy you are so here are the steps that you need to take.

1: Make a GMail accoune (unless you already have one)
2: Go to www.google.com/voice
----- Once you are at the site sign in with you google account info
--------- setup your google voice account (its very easy to do just follow the steps given by google)
3: download the google voice app from the app store
----- sign in the to google voice app
---------send a text message to one of your friends to test it out

when you are not signed into the app messages wont come to your phone but you can still send and revive them online at google.com/voice

Its kind of crappy that mom is all up in your crap, but thats what parents do. My wife is the same way. For the first few years of marriage I was annoyed by it but i realized that the best to to do is be honest about the person that you are and always tell the truth so you never have anything that needs to be hidden.

You are lucky that mom let you have a cell phone at the age of 14, it shows that she trusts you. Most parent wait until their children can drive before they give them a phone.

I hope you figure it out.. The best thing that you can do is just deal with it until you are old enough do whatever you want. 4 years seems like a long time but before you know, this will be a thing of the past.......

also last thing.... I just want you to know that this is whats referred to as a first world problem. I wont get into the meaning of it but you should look it up and see how it relates to third world problems

Yahoo Mail keeps asking me for a cell phone number. What if I don't have a cell phone?

I am getting this too and don't have a cell phone. Yahoo should make a check mark box that says something like, "I don't have a cellphone, stop reminding me." If you get a cellphone, you should be able to change that in settings. I clicked "Ask me later" to stop the prompt, so we will see how that goes. You can also contact Yahoo Mail Help's forum to complain about this Cell Phone prompt at each log-lin that started today, by going to Yahoo's Help Forum here:

Yahoo really needs an opt out for the Cell Phone prompt. I hate it like it is now. Hopefully this gets changed.

Emails won't delete in yahoo mail, they keep reappearing in my inbox?

I click on an email and then click on delete. Presto, gone. And then it's back in my inbox. sometimes up to five times. I click on trash and click to empty it, sometimes the trash empties and sometimes it doesn't. If the trash empties, it seems to take the email permanently, but it shouldn't come back in the first place when I initially delete it. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

Android Users : Question regarding Google Play Store?

Lately, I have been having an issue when trying to access Google Play Store. The background dims and I get a pop up message saying : " Background Data Disabled " ""the play store needs background data enabled " , and then i have to chose from 2 buttons - "Enable' or "Quit" so I click "Enable" and it takes me to an accounts list that says "Accounts & Sync" (where my email accounts ,FB account, and Backup Assistant Plus are listed) and it says they are all synced (except my FB account because I don't want all my FB friends in my phone book, which happened before when I synced the accounts and messed up my phone book with duplicates and such) ..
So then my 2 options on the this page are "add account" (which gives me a long list of account options I can add) or "back" . I am not trying to add an account so I go back, and this message keeps coming up and I can't access the Play Store. After this if I continue to try and access the Play Store or any apps in it, it keeps saying ERROR - no connection.

I have been having this problem a lot and it is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I don't know how to fix it, what to do, or who to even ask! If anyone has any advice on what this means, how to fix it, or where I can look to learn how to fix it, it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks so much!!!

*** I hope my question and explanation of the problem were clear, if anyone is interested in answering this question but requires more information or something I said was unclear, please post in the answers and I will edit and add to the question whatever additional info you need to understand what I am asking..

Why does my yahoo email tell me my internet connection is currently unavailable after I log in?

Hi, Try Clearing History, Cookies and Cache, also Update the Internet Browser you are using at the moment or use a Different Internet Browser.

To Contact Yahoo by Email, this can be done by clicking on HELP at the Bottom Right Hand side of the Yahoo Home Page under Horoscopes.

Click on whatever Subject is best for you for more information, you can also Click on the Arrows for more options, or Type your Problem in the Search Help box.

For more Help and advice you can also Go to the Right hand side of page and click on Contact Customer Care.

Click on Select a Product, then select a Category or Version, page will reload for you to click on Sub Category.

Make sure you fill in Brief Details of what has Happened, click Enter.

Depending on the Category you select and the Sub Category you also select you may see at the Bottom of the Page for more help Click on EMAIL A SUPPORT AGENT. You may have to click on different ones and try variations.

Or else there will be information there on the page to help with your problem.

There will then be a Form to fill in. Fill in the form with as much information as you can remember about your security details and your yahoo account etc.

Yahoo will then contact you at a Different Email Address that you need to give them. This email address CANNOT be a yahoo email one.

You need to give them a different Email Address, it could be one that you already have or you will need to create a new one, Google, Hotmail, etc. You do this by clicking on Email and then click on Register and follow the instructions.

They only need this Different Email Address to give you instructions regarding your yahoo account.

When Yahoo send you an email, make sure you check the Trash and Spam folders as well as the Inbox in case it went in there instead.

You will be asked to create a New Password, Best a hard to Guess One for anyone trying to access your Yahoo Account.

I Would Also Strongly advise that you register an alternative email address and your Mobile Number/Cell Phone Number with Yahoo, that is done through Account Settings. (I Think).

That way if your account is ever hacked or similar, a message should come up and they can send a code to your phone or other email address for you to then unlock your Yahoo Email Account.

Good Luck

Why is Yahoo! saying I don't have a Yahoo.com account?

Sounds like you're trying to send an email to your own Yahoo! email account via another email address that you own (goldentulipbahrain.com)? Am I right?

If it's not working, most likely the problem is on their end. If it isn't remedied shortly, give Google's Gmail a try.

You can get one here:

UPDATED RESPONSE:

That's weird. Ordinarily, in such a circumstance I would think that his ISP had your ISP on a blackhole list (meaning your isp flagged his as being spammer friendly), however, since the reason being given is that the account is non existent...it's just weird. Most likely it's just a screw up on Yahoo's part.

PS. What I mean by blackhole list, is that email system administrators will sometimes block whole domains (such as Yahoo.com) if too much spam comes from that domain. The domain will be blocked until the provider corrects the situation. Again though, this isn't the situation with you since the dameon message says your account is non existent...which can only mean it's a Yahoo! issue.

Why does gmail delete my sent mail?

As others have said, Gmail does not do this - or not normally. Default behavior is for your sent items to be “archived”, with a “sent” label on them. So if you click on the sent label in the left hand column, or do a search, you should see all your sent mail. If you do not, then there are only a couple of possibilities. Google Groupswdurham said:If you are using the webmail interface, GMail automatically applies a Sent label to all mail you send, and those mails - and thus any conversation which contains a message sent by you - will show up when you click Sent in your sidebar. This label cannot be removed. If you don't see your Sent mail when you click Sent, then either:1. Something is deleting those conversations from your account. The most common culprit is a misconfigured filter designed to work on incoming mail. But filters also work on outgoing mail and can produce unexpected and unwanted results. A second common reason is that people mistakenly believe that what they see in Sent mail is a duplicate of what they see elsewhere, and so they delete the "duplicates".OR2. You are using another device or client to send mail, and this sent mail appears only on that client or device. So check the settings in the client or the app you use on the device, and make sure that you haven't opted for mail sent from there to appear in another folder, usually a local one, instead of having it go to the GMail Sent folder.
