yes to both

Leg pain when walking.- due to being hit by a car?

I was hit by a car about 7 months ago. The top of my leg (thinks its the joint to the hip) hurt for weeks.
However it was ok after a while. But now when I put my full weight on that leg (for example when I leen to one side when stud up) it starts hurting again.
Its been hurting for about a month now ... Especially when I walk, run or go up some stairs.
Also I find it quite dificult to lift my leg up (for example when I want to sit down with that, leg crossed over the other ... I sometimes have to help lift it myself by holding it with my hands as it seems to week and very painful to do by itself)

Do u think ive done something serious to my leg which could be like it for the rest of my life?
And what do u think could be wrong with it?
And is there anything I can do to make it better?

If someone hits me with their car while I am walking, what does their Insurance company have to tell me about their policy?

If the coverage is less than your medical bills, it is in the companies best interest to hand you a check for their limits - failing to do so could result in grounds for a bad faith lawsuit (potentially, depending on your jurisdiction.) and, more to the point, as soon as the limits of the policy are exhausted, the company doesn't have to pay any of the incidental expenses of investigating, defending, reviewing, etc etc etc etc the claim. (Bad faith often only applies to the policy holders, but in some juristictions, you can sue if an insurance company (or other contractually obligated entity) essentially fails to honor the contract in a timely, complete, straightforward manner - if they know they're going to cut you a check for, say, $50,000, and they drag it out for 2 years just so they can be jerks, try to get you to settle for less, and earn interest, if it's your policy, that's definitely grounds, and if it's not your policy, it may be grounds.)So, it seems unlikely that they would not pay up if they had reached the limit, ASAP, to get you to go away, since it is in their best interest.

Dream about getting hit by a car?

The more detail you provide, the better it is to interpret a dream. When you ran across the street, you were taking a risk. Your friend decided that the risk was too great, but you went ahead anyway. Once you realized that you were going to be hit, you accepted your fate... but somehow you were ok anyway. Even though you took a risk, and gave up on yourself, you were rescued. Someone helped you. Still though, people noticed and you were upset about the whole thing.

This makes me wonder if you're a person who tends to take risks- maybe someone who's more risky than your friends. Are you really willing to take risks and accept your fate? When this happens, is it true that people come to your rescue, then maybe judge you afterwards?

Your subconscious mind might be telling you that it's dangerous to take risks. Maybe you should think about the risks that you're taking, because you might not always be lucky. Even if you have people around to help, depending on what it is, they might not be able to help you every time.

Do I have a case if I got hit by truck while riding my car on side walk against traffic? Where can I get help?

Sorry to say this but you would not be able to get any help from the law enforcement in this case. As you mentioned that your were travelling on the wrong side of the road and if you will take this matter to the police, they will simply say that you violated the law by driving on wrong side of the road and would simpy refuse to help you out.Your best bet would be to contact your insurance provider to cover the damages up to some extent.

What are the chances of getting hit by a car while jay walking?

Well, it depends on the road (obviously, the chances are a lot higher on the motorway than a quiet road)

I can't give an exact statistic, so this is the best advoce I can give

If you are desperate/have to jaywalk, then do it over a crossing, then drivers are more likely to be aware/be able to stop/be stopping anyway so if you get hit, best case scenario is that they're going slow enough it doesn't matter.

But, irritating as it is, it's probably safest just not to run the risk. Flying six feet in the air because you're late to work is never worth it, really

I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A CAR!?

I was walking back to my apartment when I happened. It was kinda late, but still early when it comes to drinking that sorta thing. Around 11ish in a college town. I was just crossing the street, cause I waited patiently and now had the right of way, when this car came flying down the street. One glance and i knew he wasnt going to stop and was going too fast to avoid hitting me so I nearly dived out of the way. The car continued on to hit a car that was crossing the intersection. I narrowly avoided getting hit by a big chunk of debris. The result was two mangled cars, a panicked me calling 911 and having to stay as a witness. I only stayed long enough to see them trying to pry open the car door, since I didn t get hurt much beyond some scratches and bruises. I m trying to get over it, but I can t believe that I just almost died right then and am having doubts that I even survived at all and this is just some kind of messed up pugatory im in. How can I get myself to calm down after witnessing what I just did? I m a bit traumatized haha

If a pedestrian jay walked and got hit by a car, do they still have to pay the ticket?

In Canada and The USA, jaywalking citations are enforced and valid if you crossed in front of a car and got hit, as long as there's sidewalks and corner crosswalks that are supposed to be used. If you're too stupid or lazy to NOT cross where you're supposed to, good luck with that. In those cases pedestrians do not have the legal right of way to cross in front of a vehicle as they want, and do so at their own peril. But in some cases where there's no sidewalks, or corners or interactions to safely cross, you still assume the risk of jaywalking because you do so without proper care taken. It's a murky topic and hard to answer without a better example.Say you jaywalked outside of a designated crossing area. You might still get ticketed by the police, but a judge might vacate it, eventhough it's a valid ticket. Now say you used a designated cross walk, and then half way through walked outside the lines and then got hit. Technically you used the crosswalk, but the officer issues a ticket for improper use, while the judge might see it student different as the onus is on the driver to remain behind the lines until the pedestrian has completely crossed the road, so he'd probably vacate the ticket.Either way, it's not worth getting hit over being lazy and ignorant. That's how people lose their lives.

Have you ever been hit by a car?

Yes, multiple times, but there’s one time that really sticks in my memory.I was about 21 at the time, at college. There was a strip mall across the street from our stadium, and I didn’t have class that day, so I decided to pick up some hair dye from the beauty supply store. So I walked there and bought everything I need, then went back across the street towards campus. There was one glaring problem with this plan: in order to get to the store, you have to cross the busiest road in town. I think it’s actually a highway that runs along the edge of campus, and I once counted nearly 800 cars coming through that intersection over the course of 15 minutes. Very busy, and very dangerous for pedestrians if someone decides to run the light, which is exactly what they did. Specifically, an elderly couple ran the light and drove down the shoulder to pass traffic, barreling into me when I was mere feet from reaching the sidewalk. I actually turned as they passed, and the woman waved at me as they drove away.I was fine, and managed to walk myself the rest of the way across to go sit in the grass. My leg had gone under the car, and it twisted my ankle pretty badly, but that was my only injury. I could fix that myself, and did in the time it took for the crowd to form.I looked up to see several cars circled around me to form a wall, and several employees from surrounding stores came to check on me. A couple had gotten the license plate, and gave it to the cops. An ambulance was called, but I refused to get in, then compromised and let them feel my ankle and do a basic examination where I sat to make sure nothing was glaringly wrong internally. The cops got my information and asked me if I wanted to press charges. I said no, and asked if I could finish walking home. They wouldn’t let me, so I got a nice ride home from one off-duty cop, who happened to be one of the bystanders who formed the wall.About a year later, I was in class, and someone started talking about the traffic, and how someone got hit last school year on the main road. I asked if the person had bright pink hair, and they said yeah and asked if I saw it too.I saw it alright. I was that pink-haired fool. She and anyone else who’s heard this story seems to be shocked that I’m still alive at this point, and honestly, so am I.
