Honor graduate basic training?
Is there any way to prove that you got honor graduate in AF BMT? A friend of mine (guard) was an honor grad but it doesn't show in his vMPF. I also got honor grad (active) and mine does show up. Is there any way that he can prove that he did recieve it? Thanks in advance
When will I find out the date of my basic training graduation?
Hello Lawzin, Air Force basic training is 8 1/2 weeks long. It starts the day you arrive at Lackland AFB. So, you can look at the calendar and figure it out. The extra 1/2 week (I believe that would be 3 days (Mon, Tues, and Wed) are the added days that the Air Force added on for expanded fire arms training. You will be issued a weapon during basic training, as I have been informed, and will learn some Army combat skills to protect yourself when you get deployed to the Middle East (at least once during your 4 years). Pay attention during basic training. Keep your mouth shut. Keep your ears open. And, only speak when you are spoken to. Do everything you are told to do without hesitation or questioning as to "why?" You don't need to know "why?" All you need to do is "respond" to direction and orders. Alone time after air force basic training graduation?
my husband will be graduating bastic traing for the af soon. will we get ALONE time before he goes to tech school? i hope his family will understand if we want to be alone..not to be mean but i want some alone time with him. can you go to a hotel? also his tech school is longer than twenty weeks and we will be moving down there with him. how long will it take to move down there?
How do i get to carry the flag at my Navy Basic Training graduation?
I know a guy that has gotten to carry the flag for his graduation from Basic Training for the Air Force and i was just wondering how do you get that privilege... i'm pretty sure the Navy has flags and all too. And also how could i gain rank while in basic training because i have a friend that went to the Navy and he got promoted to an E-2 while in basic and i never found out what he did to get it. How do fat and out-of-shape people make it through basic training?
When I joined in 1974, I was 5′8″ and 245 lbs. After we met our Drill SGT., he divided us in two groups. After he was done, he explained, “Over here I have my athletes - fine specimens of young men- MY ADONIS’ … AND over here I have my PILSBURY DOUGHBOYS ! Gentlemen, and this will be the last time I will call you f**k’n maggots Gentlemen!!!IN 12 WEEKS TIME, YOU WILL BE MY ‘OTHER’ ADONIS’ !!! …NOW STRIP DOWN TO YOUR SKIVVIES AND PUT YOUR PONCHO ON!” We did and then he told us to get DRESSED OVER TOP OF THE PONCHO!!!I think he was the one that invented the ‘SAUNA SUIT’. We did that every day and the only thing we could eat was SALADS -NO DRESSINGS- just rabbit and squirrel food and water.The fat melted off and at the Graduation… I weighed 155 lbs. and then I went to get a thick steak and baked potato!!!I kept it off all these years. The most I weighed since then was 180 lbs. but took it off soon after.
A recent graduate from basic training can have sex with his wife?
My husband finish his basic training and graduate. I went to his graduation where he turns into an Airmen. The graduation activities lasts from Friday to Sunday I stayed in a hotel inside the base. He told me that when he is wearing his uniform he can not gave me more than one kiss, that he should avoid holding my hand or gave me hugs. On Friday we went to eat outside the base, on Saturday we went an attraction park, I was very excited to get on the rollercoasters but he told me that he can't because he had to behave properly at all times. On Sunday we stayed at the base and spend a couple of hours alone in the hotel room, he barely kiss me, refused me when I tried to touch him and of course we did not had sex. On Monday he left again to a technical school for two months. Is somebody knowing anything about this can help me please. Is That things that my husband told me are true? is true that he can not have sex in that free time before going to the technical school? I am very worried about that I think he does not love me anymore.
How does the US Air Force and Navy conduct coed basic training?
Derrick's answer still mainly holds true. However, there was a request for a more recent experience, so I'll provide that. I went through USAF Basic Military Training during the summer of 2014. Our Individual flights were entirely one gender. There's no mixing of the genders in the same quarters. We called our barracks "Dorms". I went through BMT in the 322nd TRS.We called our flight across the hall either a "brother" or "sister" flight depending upon their gender. The only times that we were really ever even allowed to speak to a female "trainee" (before graduation you're not allowed to report as an airman) was during our squadron run/cardio days, when there was plenty of yelling encouragement to one another, and there were hundreds of trainees on the track at a time.So, while there is coed BMT, in a manner of speaking, the flights are not in mixed company.Although flights may have a Military Training Instructor of the opposite gender, there were additional guidelines that opposite gender MTIs had to follow. Air Force Basic Training during the holidays?
I will be shipping off to AFBMT early November and (hopefully) graduating around Christmas. I have multiple questions that I am hoping those of you who have been through BMT around this time can answer. 1) Since it will be winter and colder, will I still go through BEAST Week and the obstacle course? If not, what do we do instead? 2) What do we do over Thanksgiving and Christmas? 3) If all went as planned, I'd be graduating the week of Christmas. Is graduation planned around the holiday? Do I go home after or straight to tech school? 4) What can you tell me about your AFBMT experience? Thank you in advance...
