Graffiti Laws For South Africa Help

Where can I find the most artsy graffiti?

I live in LES - NYC,  so I can vouch for it. These are some other cities  where I found exhilarating graffitis:Cartagena, ColombiaRio,Brazil

Can you be charged with graffiti if you post video on youtube of you doing it?

theoretically yes, realistically no.

Cops can track you by your IP, but they have to go through your service provider which requires a warrant, which no judge is going to issue for a graffiti violation. Interesting fact though, anyone can use your IP to figure out what state and (roughly) city without a warrant. It's all a moot point though, youtube doesn't keep track of IP addresses when you upload videos, so there is no IP address to track.

That being said a smart person with Google and an observant eye might be able to track you down anyways. For instance if I Google the name of the youtube user that posted the video am I going to find out that he uses the same scree name for his facebook account? If I Google the URL of the video will I find that he put a link to the video on his Wall with a caption saying "hey guys look what I just did!"? You would be amazed what information you can find on the internet without any special training.

Lucky for you the police don't care. Or at least they don't care enough to go searching through every single youtube video to try to find someone writing graffiti, then hunting them down online, and sending a police officer to the culprits house a week after he committed the offense. Your only real danger is if you've already *)@#! the police off and they are looking for a way to arrest you.

Still graffiti is usually an ugly eyesore that costs us taxpayers money to clean up. Just don't do it.

Artwork: What are some of the best graffiti's you have come across?

The best graffiti moves you in some way, changes you, gives you strength and boosts your courage. These are the few that have stuck in my mind:Living in the Middle East for the last 12 years I haven't seen a lot of graffiti, but like a rare gem—sometimes it happens. The first one I saw was in a poor Shia village in Bahrain. There were ominous black banners over the entrance to the village. Men paraded around angrily on horseback. Nearby roads were barricaded by fire in regular demonstrations against the government. That day I walked past and saw a hastily scribbled love message on an old wall. Two initials with a heart between. It smashed down the cultural barriers in my mind - we all feel love in the same way. I entered the village and got the best burger of my life. It was the first of many. It wasn't long before people began to recognize me and wave out to me in the street. I started buying icecreams for the children that always appeared next to me in the cold store. My particular favorites were the albino children, whose mother had dyed their hair with the brightest henna you've ever seen. She always left the eyebrows white for some reason. Soon I started to take my children to play in the village playground. I felt I was on the edge of something beautiful. After a while I could wave to the men and they would smile and wait until I passed before the road behind me would burst into flame. Here are others I've seen:This was under a fly-over in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. It cheered me up every morning and kept me on track with my goal to become a doctor. When I was in London I got to write on this car after getting my first tattoo. Rebel that I was.‘'Gay is Okay!”I spotted this in Beirut, Lebanon a few weeks ago. In the background is an old cinema that was bombed years ago during the war. It is kept unrestored, like a silent reminder of everything that has happened in this beautiful city. Thanks for the question, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

Do black lights work outside?

I'm having a "graffiti" party for my sweet sixteen on June 25th, but my dad says everyone has to stay outside. A graffiti party is when people wear white, draw on each other with highlighters, use glow in the dark paint, glow sticks, ect... All under the black light. So I am wondering if it is possible to use the black lights outside (at night time). It would really be appreciated if this could be answered really quickly!!!! Thanks!!!

I have a Claude Monet canvas (woman sitting under willow tree). what is it worth?

Hi! As the original is located at National Gallery of Art
in Washington, D.C., what you have is a reproduction
of this painting. Replicas, both new and vintage, are widely
available even today. So it's basically worth what someone
would be willing to pay for it.
