Their weapon is a beacon. Batman operates completely opposite, in the shadows of the night. There’s a comic that came out after Batman’s “death” in Final Crisis, that illuminates their dichotomy: the JLA has just finished a big fight and in the “locker room post analysis” Batman is complaining that Jordan “gave away his position by glowing too much” and Jordan retorts “It’s not my fault that your only ‘power’ is skulking in the shadows!”And then there’s the Fear Factor. Did DC make a mistake by making the Orange Lantern’s ring too powerful?
Thanks for the A2A.I would not say that it was a mistake making the Orange Lantern ring (Orange Lantern Ring) as powerful as it is. Mostly because the circumstances around why Larfleeze (Larfleeze (New Earth)) holds the ring.Since, for all intents and purposes, there is only one Orange Lantern all the power of that Corps (Orange Lantern Corps (New Earth)) stays within one being. Which tends to make beings extremely powerful. A fact that is further compounded because Larfleeze is almost constantly in contact with his power battery (Orange Lantern Power Battery). Creating a constant supply of energy to his ring. Even allowing him to supercharge it past 100%.Combine all of this with his extremely long lifespan (most of which was spent in possession of the ring),and naturally intense greed (which makes him a living power battery)make him even more powerful than normal members of other Lantern Corps (Lantern Corps). He has had a long time to get to know how his ring works. And the internal power to make it work better… most likely.One of the only reasons why the Orange Lantern ring is so powerful is because of it’s user. Larfleeze is pretty much the perfect candidate for the ring he has. Which is why the ring is so powerful.So at the end of the day, I would not say that it was a mistake because they made an effort to show us why it was so powerful… with a specific user. And for me that makes it okay.Plus… they did not make it completely unbeatable. They gave the ring, and it’s user(s) flaws.

Action 642 reveals him as one of several candidates for the ring if Hal Jordan died. Weird book for a GL story, the way Hal kept getting shot by people with pistols just because he was “confused.”It also made some major retcons to Hal’s already well-established origin story. Now it turns out Superman was first on the scene at Abin Sur’s death, and would’ve been chosen except Kryptonians aren’t native to the same sector as Earth. Superman also apparently knew about Hal’s past as a would-be astronaut and essentially convinced Abin Sur to pick him, and Superman’s memory of doing so was erased.This suggests Abin Sur explicitly chose Hal as his first choice, instead of past origin stories, which suggested the ring found two equal candidates, Hal and Guy Gardner, and Abin Sur went with Hal because he was somewhat closer.This also means that Superman somehow knew all about a would-be astronaut in Hal, but not a supposedly “national hero” football player in Guy Gardner. Or had enough information on both to choose one over the other.It also suggested Abin Sur considered several other candidates, including John Stewart, which retcons his origin, as previously the Guardians selected John as Hal’s backup after Guy was crippled.
Nen ability for my Hunter X Hunter OC ?
I am writing a Hunter X Hunter fanfiction about a rival assassin family of the Zoldycks. In the HxH world, personality traits affect how Nen abilities turn out. So what kind of Nen ability might suit my character ? I do not want something extremely Over-powered, but I also do not want something ordianry or already used in canon. I would like to give her a nen ability that would make her supportive and contributive to the gang (Gon/Killua...). Please don't say healing... Here is some info about her : She is 12. She is quick to anger and use her fists. She's mostly rude to people she's not familiar with and she's dirty-mouthed. She's always suspicious of people who act nice/friendly and assumes they have hidden motives. She realises it is wrong to take people's lives (though she does not feel guilty about it) and yearns for freedom and a normal lifestyle. She's manipulative and uses people's weaknesses/threatening for her own interests. She's pretty inexperienced/naive/awkward when it comes to social interactions and bonding with people. She wants to make friends but often says creepy things due to her upbringing. She's very sarcastic and often makes fun of people.

Water in bathrooms are illustrated green most likely because it defines not pure since people takes bath there, unlike bottled waters or the sea. Another reason why artist use green in bathrooms is probably due to indoor lightning and steam. Check out the anime "Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho" as it's one of the best anime to come up with transparent/clear water animation. It's a story about Umisho's swimming team. Hope this helps. ^_~
