Sore gums and teeth after braces off?

Be sure to floss at least once a day and brush at least twice a day. Your gums may bleed and it may hurt and be sore but it will get better if you keep up the flossing. Rinsing 3-4 times a day with warm salt water will also help.

Why are my gums sore after flossing?

Make sure you are using the proper flossing technique since flossing is essential to rid your mouth of plaque build up and to prevent tooth decay, periodontal disease, bad breath, and staining.Tips on how to floss correctly:Take 12–16 inches (30-40cm) of dental floss and wrap it around your middle fingers, leaving about 2 inches (5cm) of floss between the hands.Using your thumbs and forefingers to guide the floss, gently insert the floss between your teeth using a sawing motion.Curve the floss into a “C” shape around each tooth and under the gum line. Gently move the floss up and down, cleaning each tooth.Do not pop the floss in and out between the teeth as this will inflame and cut the gums.If you have difficulty using conventional floss, we recommend using floss holders. If not already, you should be examined by a dentist to ensure nothing else is wrong such as gum disease or decay.

Why are my gums sore after charcoal whitening?

I do not understand why so many people are trying to whiten their teeth with charcoal these days, it is unnecessary, it costs money and it is damaging.Charcoal is an abrasive, and what it does do is help remove stains from the teeth, but it won’t whiten the natural color of one’s teeth, only a product containing a special oral bleach will do that. Because it is so abrasive, most likely you have abraded your gums. They will heal if you stop using the charcoal.

I kissed a woman deeply and I have a sore gum, what should I do? Does hiv transmit through kissing?

I can’t believe people are still asking this question, in 2016!Kissing is no risk. Oral sex is low risk, except when there is oral bleeding.“Hello,Thank you for contacting AIDS Vancouver. There is no need to worry! Kissing is a no risk activity for HIV transmission. For HIV transmission to occur, a bodily fluid must gain direct access to the bloodstream through a closed route during a risky activity (see Transmission Equation below). Saliva is not a bodily fluid that can transmit HIV. This is because the saliva contains enzymes that inhibit the growth of HIV. Therefore, the only (and highly unlikely) way for HIV to be transmitted through kissing is if you had an actively bleeding wound in your mouth that came into contact with the other person's actively bleeding wound in their mouth. This does not include surface wounds such as those you would get from brushing your teeth, etc. An example of an actively bleeding would would be one from recent dental work. Since the sores in your mouth were not actively bleeding and thus did not provide a direct access to your bloodstream, HIV transmission could not have occurred. To understand how HIV transmission does occur, please refer to the HIV Transmission Equation below. All three factors must be present for HIV transmission to occur.”Can I get HIV by deep kissing while having a sore throat and sore tongue?

How long are your gums sore after a tooth extraction?

I think it all depends on the person. I have had two teeth pulled in the past, wisdom teeth, and each time I had different experiences. With the first one, I was only sore for a few days. With the second one, I was sore for a few weeks. I wasn't in any pain, but my gums were very tender. I wouldn't be alarmed, if you aren't in any pain. Just avoid chewing in the spot, to let the gum heal.

Five days after dental cleaning, still gum pain?

I had a dental cleaning on Saturday. It didn't really hurt (was just uncomfortable) and I felt fine afterwards. Now, the top right side of my mouth's gums are tender and sore. It's been this way for four days now, and I am wondering if I should go back to the dentist to get it checked out, or if this is just normal (they might've probed too hard or something). Is it possible they missed something and I have some sort of gum disease? I have a hard time believing both a hygienist AND dentist would miss it after an hour of cleaning and examination, but.. I always get very nervous with dental problems because I have sensitive teeth. I tried looking at my gum, though the pain is rooted pretty far back where I can't move my cheek enough to see properly. From what I CAN see, there isn't any redness or swelling, just the pain. What do you think could've happened? Am I worried over nothing?

Swollen gum and sore throat after filling - could be just inflamed or is it an abscess?

Hi, my problem is as follows - I had one of my lower right teeth filled recently, and the dentist had to mess around my gums for a while to inject the anaesthesia. This left my gums pretty sensitive. One day after the filling, I woke up in the middle of the night with my gum (right at the end of my lower right teeth row) swollen and sore throat on the right side. I got freaked out thinking it's a wisdom tooth trying to get out or something, but then I remembered my filling.
It has been three days and the swelling is not gone. It is painful and my throat is still sore, it is difficult to eat and drink.
I hope it is just inflammation and will pass, as I was exposed to cold weather and harsh wind after the filling, walking around without a scarf and so on. The sore throat could just be a side effect.
Then again I have read a lot about tooth abscess and I now fear I might have that and it has nothing to do with the winds or anything.
The swelling is very local - right where the wisdom tooth is supposed to be. It hasn't gotten any smaller or less painful for three days already. Unfortunately I have no hope to access a dentist because it's Sunday and I'm leaving early tomorrow. So - does it sound like something temporary and I should not worry, or is it more serious?
