Easily accessible, similar culture and decent education is what draws Nepalese to India. Significant amount of brain and money is lost here again. The good ones again settle in India, while some return. Why is Nepal facing brain drain?Developed Nations like Australia, USA and other European Nations promise better life and living.Very high cost of medical studies(it is about 60 lakhs for MBBS now). Also, number of seats are not enough. There are no provisions made recently by government to increase the number of seats.Number of seats in quality Engineering Colleges is again few. Thus, students move abroad. Same is the case for other business/commerce studies.Students also prefer to fly abroad for employment. It has become a trend to fly abroad for higher studies in Nepal. Most of the houses in Kathmandu has at least one family member abroad.Brain Drain has become a very serious issue in Nepal. We loose a lot of money and brain every year and the numbers are rising.
