Which are the most crossdresser friendly places?
I crossdress everywhere, every day.For me personally, crossdressing at home is far less satisfying than dressing in public. At home, only my cats get to enjoy my outfits. And although they do purr, I have no way of knowing if it’s for my outfit, or for the cat food I’m feeding them.I often - though not always - dress in Athleisure styles (please see the photos below for some examples). This fashion look is very trendy worldwide right now and retail professionals are projecting strong sales growth with sportswear to continue through the year 2020, so it isn’t going anywhere. Some predict Athleisure will overtake denim (!) as a fashion style. That’s a profoundly meaningful statement.The best places to crossdress, in my opinion, are in department stores and in shopping malls (and shopping districts) especially. Yes, there are clubs (and annual conventions) where crossdressers are welcome. At Pride events, you can let your hair down (or put it up :) so those are common places to show off your fashion looks too.I personally feel that it’s important for crossdressers to make a strong political/sociological statement for the world to see, because doing this will elevate all crossdressers and trans* folks generally so they are no longer dwelling in the shadows and only thought of as stereotypes. Also getting dressed for a public outing brings normalcy into the life of someone who has largely been living their reality in their heads. I say, put on a pair of leggings, a crisp pair of New Balance or Nikes, and adorn yourself with a nice Anne Klein watch and a designer handbag. Check out some of the details in the photos below!
