What is the VIP experience at Lollapalooza like?

It's tough to quantify if it's worth it to someone, as it definitely depends on what is most important to you and how much it could impact your personal bank account. There are actually multiple levels of special or VIP access at Lollapalooza, and it also is subject to change every year - but my guess is this question is about VIP access to Lolla Lounge and not the newer Platinum VIP access. The Lolla Lounge entails a shaded viewing area at both major stages (on opposite ends of the park), air conditioned bathrooms (basically higher end much nicer port-o-potties), catered snacks and food (but also subject to specific time windows), shaded area to relax and sometimes the perk of mini massage or spa treatments (but typically limited to an hour time window that you may or may not be around for). It has happened to me more than once that when I happened to be in the area of one of the Lolla Lounges and was hungry, catering had other not yet started or had already shut down. ::womp womp:: If the catering set up was offered all day, as well as the snack booth options (which also open and close on a limited schedule) - and if VIP Lolla Lounge also included golf carts (which currently only Platinum passes or Artist passes have) then I think it might be worth it to more people. What you're really paying for is a bit more of comfort. It's more "worth it" if it happens to be an especially hot weekend in Chicago; or if it rains. It's less worth it if the weather is alright; but of course, not possible to know what the weather will be well in advance. It should also be noted that at some music festivals, the press/media area offers the same access as VIP. Unfortunately for people who do music press like I do, this is not the case with Lollapalooza. There's a shaded press/media tent with water and treats here and there - but press access does not cross over into VIP access.

Is buying a business class airline ticket really worth the extra money?

Totally worth it , I am assuming you are talking international long distance flying . The service is impeccable, from food to drinks it’s like a mini compartment with all business class cabins around 20 maybe in one small area with their own lavatory plus you get in to the airline straight after first class have boarded and you don’t travel a large length of the aircraft like in economy to get to your seat , less people in front of you and less people following you , feels super chill. Also , at the boarding airport and layover you are eligible to go into their premium lounges for a quiet time rather than waiting at airport bars or near the boarding gate . Depending on the time of the day the lounges will have a breakfast or a brunch buffet and of cousrse everything is included in the price of the ticket. You can sit and sip some coffee or vodka and charge your electronics in a nice comfy chair , they also have business center with workstations like at the hotels .Notice , how I have not even come to the seat which is your actual business class criteria and have written so much already . That should give you an idea.Seats : usually you have 2 cabins side by side and they are private with a separation . Sometimes 3 but that does it matter you would have privacy . Seat reclines and footrest comes up enough for a 6 ft tall guy and you enough space to keep your laptop bags etc near your footrest . Oh you have a dedicated shelf space too .In the end it’s about comfort and luxury and you can sleep or enjoy private entertainment on a bigger screen whatever you prefer .
