Anyone worn a black wedding dress?
I just went to a Bridal Show here in Central Florida a few weeks ago and that was the big thing! There was this wonderful black wedding dress that was way better looking then most of the white dresses I have seen! If you want black, go with black! It is your and your soon-to-be husbands day and your chocies! I say go for it! Plus everyone will always talk about your wedding and what the bride wore. GO FOR IT!!!!

well, as these chinese knock off houses go, this one at least has a decent return policy and appears to be more upfront than most of them are. they list a hong-kong telephone number for contacting them. of course there is no actual business location address since these places operate off a computer in someone's home. but if you want to take a chance with it, this one is less horrible than others i have seen. just know that the process is that you have to measure yourself, and i hope you know what you are doing because if you make a mistake, you will still have to keep the dress, and that the dress will be made by some little lady with a sewing machine in her hut, not at a business anywhere. no quality control, no rules or regulations governing the making of the item. i don't think it is a good idea to ever buy a wedding dress online because what looks good in a photo might not look good on your body in person, but that is up to you.

Well to answer your question...Yes I have. I am a muslim woman who backpacks, I also swim in the ocean, go to fair's, i enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and many sports. I don't think that my dress limits my activities. I may receive strange looks or have to answer silly questions but that does not stop me from doing what i please. Part of worshiping God is being aware and impressed by the world around us and i think it is a joy to travel and see the wonders of God Everywhere.

But white has *never* symbolized purity. As a wedding color when it was introduced by Queen Victoria, it was a symbol of wealth since no one else except royalty could afford such a thing. Prior to that, since the dawn of time, blue has been the color of virginity. Red has been a color for brides in countless cultures (Ancient Romans, Celts, Asians, etc) because it symbolizes passion and festivitiy.

Princess Diana had a 25 ft train. I believe she asked what was the longest train in the history of royal brides and added a number of feet. The Emmanuels had no idea the dress would wrinkle so badly. When she made the journey from Clarence House to the Abbey, it had been stuffed in the carriage and resembled a ruffles potatoes chip. Flowery language had it described as a butterfly emerging from the chrysalis . The taffeta skirt can be seen when she emerges from the church and the bottom is still very wrinkled. I really don’t know how her father Earl Spencer fit into that carriage with her.

The wall sconces showed on the Color Correction episode Vintage Bedroom episode 207 and Dress My Nest episode Jenny Tam came from Urban Outfitters - (Wood Grain 3D Wall Sconce 13434501 (product number) ), but they are no longer available...the best way to maybe find the product is to e-mail Urban Outfitters and ask them who imported the product to them; and contact that company.
