Has Usps Suspended Saturday Delivery Of Mail Yet

When does USPS stop deliveries on Saturday?

USPS stops delivery on Saturday after all mail received at the delivery post office that morning is delivered. Some Priority Express Mail may be delivered after that time by an assigned courier. If your question means ending all delivery of mail on Saturday, there a no current plans to do so.

Does the USPS deliver mail on weekends, and if so, is this nationally or dependent on ones location?

Yes. USPS delivers mail on Saturday. No regular mail delivery on Sunday though. Express Mail is delivered as it comes in regardless of what day it is. So, in short, Express Mail is delivered on Sunday. It was my experience that Saturdays tended to be “light” mail days. So many people wanted off early. They’d skip lunch and break to get off a couple of hours early. Not recommended but it happened. I strived for consistency. But in short, Saturday was usually light and mail was usually delivered earlier.

The USPS suspended mail service to Syria?

According to the USPS website, they have " suspended mail service to Syria due to transportation issues. Until further notice, all Post Office and other acceptance locations will not accept mail destined to Syria." Does this mean that since the USPS has suspended mail delivery to Syria that other shipping companies (FEDEX and UPS) have done so too? I really want to send my boyfriend something, something tangible that he can touch. As we all know, life in Syria is very tough right now and I want to give him a small token of of my love in hopes to brighten up his day. What are my options since USPS is out of the question for now...?
Thank you

What do I do if my mail has stopped being delivered?

our mails bro Contact your local Postal service and ask for the superintendent. Then proceed to ask this person if they can track down the reason for your mails being stopped. It could be for a safety concern brought forward by the carrier or delivery truck/van/car. It could be because there is a “"Stop mail” request (incorrectly maybe) attached to your address. It's worth the investigation as you very well may be able to correct the bad step/ Barking unchained dog/wooden planks covering a deep ditch etc or whatever the issue is, or you may be able to correct the administration error if it's that. Regardless it's your mail and it's worth the effort to rectify.

Why did USPS stopped delivering my mail?

There are many possibilitiesYou don't have a serviceable mailboxYou have a pet or other hazard between the street and your mailboxThey can't determine if the address is occupiedYour name is not on the mailbox, needed especially in student areasThere is a hold or forwarding order at your address.Delivery has been replaced with service to a neighborhood mailboxThere actually is no mail for youIn most cases, someone would have attempted to contact you about the problem. You need to ask your Letter Carrier or Rural Carrier about this issue. They aren't likely to know about this at the post office. Leave a big note for them at your mailbox or place where they will see it if you aren't there when they come.

USPS attempted to deliver a package during a mail hold which ends tomorrow. Will the package be delivered with my mail or will USPS make me pick it up?

Very likely, a different carrier who was not aware of the hold was the one who attempted delivery. The Post Office will not “make” you pick it up, but you should call and ask for redelivery. The reason that you would need to call is that packages that are attempted (notice left) are kept in a different area than hold mail. Normally, your packages should be held with the rest of your mail, but in this instance it is likely in a different area and the carrier who redelivers your hold mail will not see the package. If you call for package redelivery, also remind them that you have other mail on hold as well.

Does the royal mail postal service deliver on saturday?

yes they do deliver on saturdays

however, if it was posted on friday it would depend on what 'class' it was posted for the person to get it on saturday - if posted 1st class then it should arrive on the saturday

2nd class then it wouldnt get there till monday

Can the USPS refuse to deliver mail just because they can't drive up to a mailbox, but they have to get out of the truck?

Yes. Because each route has a certain time to deliver the mail. A route adjuster goes out with the Carrier at reasonable time invervals, to record how long deliveries take. Letter Carriers are required to 1)Wear seat belts when the vehicle is in motion 2) Set the parking break whenever they leave the vehicle 3) Turn off the vehicle when they leave it 4)Take the key out of the ignition whenever they leave the vehicle 5) curb the tires whenever they leave the vehicle 6) Park only in designated parking spots. So, normally, curbside delivery takes about 20 seconds per address. When a Carrier is required to do all of the above to make one delivery, it takes about 3x that amount of time. So instead of delivering 3 address in a minute, it is one address in a minute. When 10 people do this, instead of a bit over 3 minutes, it has turned into 10 minutes. When you are a Letter Carrier, that is a lot of time. That is 1/3 of their lunch time. Every second counts… every minute is accounted for. You have no time to dilly dally.Sure, you’ve seen Carriers park their cars in the middle of the street, “hop” out and deliver the mail on occasion. But they can be reprimanded, and even fired for doing so - depending on the severity of the action. It is not laziness - for most Carriers. It is a matter of time. Usually, if a person parks in front of their mailbox once in a blue moon, the Carrier will deliver the mail anyway. But when a person makes a habit of parking in front of the mailbox, it is disrespectful to the Carrier, time consuming for the Carrier, and the Carrier is not required to get out of their vehicle to deliver the mail. The delivery is marked as curbside, not a park and deliver point.

Will the mailman ever deliver mail on Sundays?

I am 55, and I remember when they used to deliver mail on Sundays too. That ended when I was a child and we never missed it. In today's world there really is no need for weekend delivery of mail. I have no problem if they want to suspend Saturday service, too. It would save the USPS a lot of money.
