What can I wear to a Hollister interview?
Ironically I have nothing from hollister at the moment. I just never really went into that store alot. I have a pink hollister hoodie, but I'm thinking that its not a good idea to wear that to a interview. I have no jeans from there. I was thinking of borrowing one of my friends hollister t'shirts that she just bought. Otherwise I was going to wear this one shirt from Aero that you can't really tell its from Aero, but its like one of those shirts that tie in the back and it has a floral grey and white print. With a cami underneath and either jeans from pacsun, or these ones that are l.i.e. jeans from walmart. I have AE jeans, but everyone knows what the back pockets on AE jeans look like. So what do you think? Its also winter and snowy out should I still wear flip flops? I have no vans. Just plaid DC shoes.
What should I wear at my hollister interview and what are some interview questions I should expect.?
1.) Do NOT wear professional attire to this interview. That's usually some really bad advice but Hollister is very laid back so you'll want to show that when you come to the interview. You don't necessarily have to wear Hollister brand clothes but at least show up in the same kind of style. This could include a couple of layered tank tops, a plaid woven shirt, dark skinny jeans, flip flops, etc. Make sure you don't show up wearing black or purple as those are colors we don't sell in our stores. And finally, look natural. If you can show up in little or no makeup, that's best because you will be required to wear very little if you get the position. 2.) They will ask you simple questions like when have you worked in a group setting before, to describe the Hollister style, how your friends would describe you, and they'll more than likely ask you to describe 'diversity' and if it's important in the workplace. 3.) No, although we do have "taglines" that we use at the front of our store and at the registers to try to push certain merchandise, we do not try to force customers to buy anything. Most importantly, don't stress over it. This will be probably one of the easiest and most fun job interviews you will ever have as long as you don't get too uptight. Hollister interview?
Getting a job at hollister isn't hard. Yes you do need do have decent looks and a "hollister" style but that is only part of it. When you go for the interview there are certian things you'll need to know: 1. What to wear 2. How to act 3. What happens when you go for the interview 4. The questions What to Wear 1. Starting with your hair. Wear it down and relaxed. Either lightly scrunch it so its wavy or keep it nice and straight. Don't try anything crazy or unnatural. 2. For makeup go very light. If you need to put something on make sure its natural. No crazy colors or fake lashes. 3. Clothing. You don't have to wear hollister clothing but wear what the brand represents. Hollister doesn't advertise their clothing so the people who wear it draw in customers. 4.Shoes go for the flip flops. Or Vans. Thats what employees have to wear. How to Act 1. BE YOURSELF. I cannot stress that enough. Don't act fake happy and peppy. I can't tell you how many times my manager complains about that. 2. Be nice to the other applicants. Introduce yourself to all of them immediately and be nice. 3. Be outgoing. Be friendly. Be Yourself. The Interview 1. Be at least 5 min early. Do not be late. 2. Walk in and tell someone at the register that you are there for the interview. They will most likely tell you to sit in the lounge and wait. 3. A manager will come out and introduce themselves. They'll give you a quick overview of what will happen and then take you most likely out of the store to another part of the mall. 4. Once you are situiated the interview questions will begin. The Questions 1.They will ask you personal questions. Like : How would friends and family describe you? Describe yourself. Whats your best quality? Why would you be a good addition to our hollister team? And the question they most always ask is What does diversity mean to you and how does it apply in the work place? The last question is important to answer. Sample answer: To me diversity is a mixture of different people with different backgrounds, ethnicities and customs working together to achieve a common goal. In the work place it is especially important because diversity helps employees to relate to a wider customer base and helps to create a fun and exciting environment. Hope this helps!
What to wear to Hollister Interview?
My brother used to work for Hollister and they're want their employees to either wear Hollister clothing or clothing that looks like what Hollister might sell without any labels. For shoes, they like flip flops all year round or Chuck Taylor's All Stars. They don't want their employees to wear any black because they think it's too "emo". Instead, try to wear fall colors. This is all in their dress code. Don't wear any nail polish unless it is clear or a french manicure. If you want to wear earrings, they have to be studs. No other pieces of jewelry are allowed, and try to dress really preppy, that's what they look for in their employees. If they ask you what your personality is like, say you're really friendly and outgoing and a people person, even if you're not. Good luck!
Nervous about my Hollister interview!!!!?
I worked at Hollister for a couple of months as a model and LOVED working there. I had to leave because my family is moving soon :( but I'm for sure going to apply at a new location. The job interview is in a group, and it's really laid-back. Mine was kind of fun, actually. The interviewee will ask a question and go around hearing everyone's answer. Just make sure you don't say the same thing as the person before you. Hollister doesn't allow guys to have visible piercings of any kind, and you should be clean-shaven. You don't have to wear Hollister clothes, just clothing that looks like the Hollister style (without other companie's logos). Smile and be confident no matter how nervous you are. Be extra friendly to the other applicants (the interviewee will be paying attention)! It's extremely easy to request days off and they are really good about following your availability. Like I said, I loved working there and I met a lot of friendly, cool people! I was really sad to leave... I always looked forward to going to work! Good luck with the job interview and be yourself!

What should I wear for an interview for a retail store (e.g Hollister, UO, AA, etc.)?
