Have You Noticed This About Alot Of Albums

How are DSBM albums released?

I've noticed a lot of successful DSBM albums all over YouTube, Last.fm, and metal-archives, but how are these albums released? I doubt these artists have record labels, most but not all DSBM artists are solo projects, and DSBM is not the most friendly genre for a record label. I hear these artists release dozens of albums, but where?

Music: Who has noticed that bonus tracks on a deluxe edition album are often better than those on the standard edition of the album?

So, Dark Tranquillity released We Are The Void in 2010, and the album was good, but a rinse of their last three albums, nothing special. Anyway, I, being someone who doesn't want to miss out on stuff, splurged an extra ten dollars on the Tour edition, which contained all the Japanese Edition and Deluxe Edition tracks as well as the original album, an extra five songs, whatever. Anyway, I was playing the album, and though the main album didn't make me really excited, even though I enjoyed it, one of the bonus tracks, Out Of Gravity, was so amazing that I just played it on repeat for about a week endlessly. The song was so good I convinced my band to throw a cover of it onto our first album. This is why I've raised the question, so yeah.Enjoy.

Nirvana (Incestide Album) I believe that is what it is called?

Yes it's real! I used to have it but it was stolen. It's called "Incesticide." It had some strange cover art.

Here's the cover:

Here's the track listing:

All songs written by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic except where noted.

"Dive" – 3:55
"Sliver" – 2:16
"Stain" – 2:41
"Been a Son" – 1:56
"Turnaround" (Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald Casale) – 2:19
"Molly's Lips" (Eugene Kelly, Frances McKee) – 1:54
"Son of a Gun" (Eugene Kelly, Frances McKee) – 2:48
"(New Wave) Polly" (Cobain, Novoselic, Dave Grohl) – 1:48
"Beeswax" (Cobain) – 2:50
"Downer" – 1:44
"Mexican Seafood" (Cobain) – 1:55
"Hairspray Queen" (Cobain) – 4:14
"Aero Zeppelin" (Cobain) – 4:41
"Big Long Now" – 5:04
"Aneurysm" (Cobain, Novoselic, Grohl) – 4:36

The album was released on December 14, 1992 in Europe, and December 15, 1992 in the U.S. Incesticide debuted at fifty-one and eventually reached number thirty-nine on the Billboard 200.

The record label, Geffen, decided against heavily promoting the album, possibly to avoid a "Nirvana burnout" as the band had released Nevermind and four singles in the preceding fifteen months. Despite this lack of promotion and being a collection of old material, Incesticide debuted at number 51 in the Billboard 200 and sold 500,000 copies in two months.[

Do you ever notice that when you listen to certain albums, songs, artists, etc. they begin playing in the world around you (e.g. public places, restaurants, bars, elevators, etc.)?

There’s a name for that, I can’t remember it. It’s similar to when you buy something and then it seems like every other ad is for similar items.

How can I move photos in Google Photos into folders or albums?

Two different concepts. Albums in Google Photos are just a place where you will add already stored photos just for the purpose of having them under a specific titled album. What I mean is… you are not copying the photos, just referencing them. Now folders are related to file systems, so in that regard what you can do, is have your pictures organized in folders and then have Google’s Backup & Sync app scanning those folders. That way you keep your photos organized in a traditional file system but also backed up in Google’s servers where they are sorted automatically.Although Mac oriented the concept is the same for any OS so you might want to check this article:The Best Photo Management Solution: Google Photos — The Sweet SetupRemember though that with Google Photos the best thing, in my opinion, is not having albums but actually make use of the powerful search capabilities it offers.

Are there any anti-atheist rock bands/songs/albums?

Celtic Frost, Mayhem and Gorgoroth are the best christian metal bands out there.

How would you rate The Beatles for sale album? I always liked it a lot but I noticed critics are somewhat harsh on the material and that it had a lot of cover songs…

I love it, and I think it is much better than people say.I guess there is this feeling that covers = bad from people who are, for want of a better term that I can’t quite put my finger on, complete idiots. But the album is clearly of a piece, presenting a side to the Beatles which was a major part of their sound, and had been for years, but which had, for the most part been untouched on record: their country/rock folk roots. The Beatles were never better when playing countrified rock — I think George Harrison in particular excelled at that kind of thing and Lennon and McCartney’s vocals were made for that. Not only does the album gel musically, I would argue that it gels lyrically as well — and the theme of lost love and melancholy dominates the record — Lennon’s songs of the period point to some kind of heartbreak. While very much in the vein of Please Please Me and With the Beatles (a formula of 6 covers and 8 originals), Beatles For Sale presents both their bluesy rockin’ side and their country side and is stronger for it.And the fact that their originals stand side by side with “Rock and Roll Music”, “Words of Love” “Everybody’s Tryin’ to Be My Baby” and “Kansas City”and, for the most part succeed or even come off better than those seminal classics is testament to how good the Beatles were. They never wrote a better song than “No Reply”, “I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party” or “Baby’s In Black.” There are those who don’t like “Mr. Moonlight”and it is a little out of place, perhaps, but there is no early Beatles album that couldn’t benefit from a couple of songs being cut. While it may not sport as many originals as “A Hard Day’s Night”or “Help!” I think it offers a far better listening experience than either. The sound is also crisp and clean — one of the few early Beatles albums that actually sounds all right in stereo.I give it a very very strong 8/10, maybe 9/10. It is my personal favorite of the first four and I like it more than Help! or Magical Mystery Tour.

You just noticed that your phone’s storage is almost full. You need to delete most of your music collection. What artists/albums/songs do you keep?

That’s a pretty convoluted way of asking what you favorite band, album or song is. How many different ways can you ask this?…if you were on a desert island, if you were on the moon etc. Why do so many people care about what others listen to?If I take your question literally…I’d back up my music collection to my laptop, to the cloud, burn to a dvd all of which I’ve done already to preserve my collection of 6000 songs. Delete all the music off the device and put the favorites back on. Then just swap the favorites for other favorites from time to time.Get a phone or tablet that has more storage.I have some favorite bands but I wouldn’t want to listen to them over and over for the rest of my life. That’s a sure fire way of making me never want to listen to my favorite music ever again.Use you imagination, come up with some more compelling questions rather than whats your favorite music. Who cares what others like, all that matters is what you like.
