Have You Read Anything About The Military Officer That Calls For Nationwide Confiscation

Has any democratic candidate ever really said they are going to confiscate guns?

It's kind of like asking African American voters (over 90% of whom vote for Democrats), "Has any Republican candidate ever really said they are going to put black people back into slavery?  Has any Republican candidate ever really said they are going to restore Jim Crow segregation?  Has any advocate of voter ID laws ever really said they are going to prevent all black people from voting?  Has any white police officer really said that he is going to kill black people?"Some Democrats at the state government level have announced that certain types of heretofore legal guns would be confiscated, and did so to the best of their ability.  Others have praised the firearms policies of other countries which had more general confiscations. To say you're going to do something that you don't yet have the power to do is kind of reckless -- it's the kind of thing that Donald Trump might do.But there have been gun-control organizations that announced the outlawing of handguns to be their goal, and there have been Democratic candidates who were friendly with the leaders of those organizations, and who requested those organizations' support.

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

What can I do legally about a police helicopter that is circling over my property in Texas?

That is very strange behavior for a police helicopter, and I would encourage you to call the owning jurisdiction (City, County, or State) to request clarification and maybe a relocation, based on the fact that it is clearly bothering you.However. I was married for many years to a police dispatcher/call taker, and her favorite “strange call” story centered around helicopters. Our metro area at the time had maybe two air units. Neither belonged to her jurisdiction, and her city council was apt to stand on it’s “rights”, so those units were only rarely in “her” air, and generally only at her request or with her permission (it was a one-person call center, so the buck stopped with her).Every night, she’d get a call. A very polite woman who lived in the city would complain about air operation that was currently going on — and could they do anything about it, she needed her sleep. None of the police helicopters were up, nor was the local military base doing anything. But if you told the woman that, she’d call back in about 15 minutes. Her answer became “Ma’am, I’ve let them know, and they’ll be done as soon as they can.” That would stop the calls . . . until the next night. You say you come and go, but the helicopter is always there. Most helicopters are only good for about 4 hours of flight time, and that includes getting to your (described) remote location, getting back to the fueling station, and “oops” factor. Not to mention inspections and maintenance. From the schedules I found by googling . . . two weeks is a long time to keep a helicopter on station, and every hour it’s in the air costs between $200-$400.There’s no way to put this delicately: who else has seen this helicopter?

Gift ideas for man entering basic training?

Save your money, and get him something when they graduate basic. He can't use anything you could give him while he's there. I don't know how lax the rules have gotten, but I only used the phone 2 or 3 times the whole time I was in basic. But, a calling card would be about it. When they graduate, I would get them a branch specific ring (just like a senior ring in HS, but each branch has there own specific details on it). He would wear that for years to come.
