Hello Guys Tell Me About Restore Windows 8

Hello guys. Restore iPhone 4...How to do?

First try reinstalling SBSsettings from Cydia. You can find SBSsettings in Cydia's search bar.

RESTORE TO 5.0.1:

If you can't reinstall springboard, you probably would want to restore to the same firmware since you have an untethered jailbreak. A regular restore from itunes will update firmware and baseband. Here is how to restore to 5.0.1 so you don't lose your jailbreak. You'll need the latest version of redsnow http://www.redsn0w.us/2010/03/download-direct-links-jailbreak-guides.html the latest version of tiny umbrellah http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/ and a 5.0.1 ipsw. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY AS STATED.

1. Back up all your apps in itunes and your cydia applications with your app of choice.

2. Go to http://www.iphonefirmware.com/firmwares-download/ and download the 5.0.1 firmware appropriate for your device.

3. Open tinyumbrellah, plug in your phone, and save ssh blob

4. Go to redsnow and click extra features. Click "custom ipsw" and select the firmware you just downloaded

5. Once IPSW customization is done go to redsnow and click pwned dfu mode.

6. Follow the instructions on screen

7. Go to tinyumbrellah and turn on tss server.

8. After creating custom ipsw, you'll notice another firmware file that begins with NO_BB. This means that there is no baseband upgrade attached to that firmware. Go to itunes. hold shift (if you own windows) or option (if you use mac). While holding the key click restore.

9. Load the ipsw that begins with NO_BB. DO NOT use the original ipsw

10. Wait for restore,

11. You will get an error but don't worry about it. It's normal. You will notice your phone's backlight is lit up but has a completely black screen

12. Go to tinyumbrellah and click fix recovery and you should be set. Most of the time you will still have all your apps and jailbreak still there but now with 5.0.1 again. If not then rejailbreak

LAST RESORT:

If that does not work, and in desperation you are willing to do a full itunes restore even if it will update your firmware and ruin jailbreak. Follow the instructions under the "blocked by configuration" heading in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297 This will restore the network settings in itunes that tinyumbrellah altered so you can restore through itunes again.

Windows 8 stuck on restore?

I have a sony windows 8 laptop.I ran a malware bytes virus scan on my computer after installing new software and it found several viruses in the folder SYSTEM32. I chose to remove them all, and the program then prompted me to restart. I said yes, and upon restarting, it had BSOD twice. (It went by too fast to read what the error was). Then it opened recovery mode and asked me if I wanted to restore to the latest restore point. I had it set to make restore points daily, so I said yes. The screen then went to the startup screen (a black screen that says VAIO on it) and has remained that way for an hour. The hard disk is spinning, but there is no loading symbol or any other information. Is this normal for a restore? I'm worried my computer will be stuck like this forever.

Thanks!

How to do a system restore on windows 8?

To restore your PC using System Restore

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) Enter Recovery in the search box, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Recovery.

Tap or click Open System Restore, and follow the prompts.

Note

System Restore isn't available for Windows RT.

Windows automatically creates a restore point when you install new Windows updates if the last restore point is older than 7 days. You can also create a restore point at any time.

I agree with much of the advice I see here from David Vanderschel, and more , but would add a useful resource (In fact, somewhat surprisingly, the only one I could find) by the ‘How To Geek’ folks:How to Use System Restore in Windows 7, 8, and 10They suggest and it’s my experience that 15+ minutes would be typical. I’ve seen restores take longer as the discovery and re-installation of drives might lead to system restarts. So your experience at 1 to 1.25 hours would also be exceptional to me but not outside my willingness to wait for a positive result. That said successfully applying a ‘… system restore point…” is what’s important and if you get a working system I’d call that worth the ‘extra’ wait. If you find the process running into 2+ hours its probably time to presume a problem, force a restart and hope that another restore point might be available and able to work too!

Restore Windows 8 After Linux Mint Install...?

Hello all:
I installed Linux Mint 16 on a Windows 8 computer. However, my friend wants me to restore Windows 8 for him because some programs and hardware will not work with Linux (even with "Wine" installed).

I'm wondering how I can get the ASUS Desktop back to Windows 8. However, here are a few problems I encountered:
-The ASUS Desktop did NOT come with a Windows 8 install DVD. So, there is no disk.
-I know I can get the ISO file from the Microsoft Website but I can't find the Windows Product Key in the BIOS. Also, it doesn't have a Windows Product Key sticker on the Desktop at all.

How can I restore the ASUS Essentio Desktop back to it's "Out-of-Box" Factory Settings?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Have a beautiful day.

If carrying the OS DVD which you must have recieved with the system so we can reinstall the OS .

I would also suggest you to take the data back up of your system.

I would appreciate you if I can get your service tag also so that I can check your order details and give you the correct details if required.

And you can find the service tag

**on the bottom of the laptop on the white sticker
**it’s a seven digit alphanumeric code which ends with BS or number 1

Can someone tell me about windows 8.1?

Windows 8.1 is a definite upgrade compared to the release of Windows 8. They've streamlined some of the processes and made them a little easier to use and adapt to. The start menu that you get in Windows 8.1 isn't the exact start menu that you think of when it comes to start menu's but it does bring you back to the tile page which is completely customization. Like all new technology it takes some time to get used to but once you get used too using them they are actually pretty awesome. I made this video on just a few differences of Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 as well as how to install Windows 8.1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_51G8zit9NI
