Hello So I Was Wondering Where Do I Find The Power Pack

How long does it take to charge MI 20000mah power bank for the first time?

Hi, thanks for A2A.The charging time basically depends on the charger you use. A formula to solve how long to charge a power bank:Charging time in hours = ( power bank capacity in mAh) /(charging rate in mA)Literally there are 2 factors will affect the charging rate : Output of charger ( Tap ) & Input of power bank ( Water Flow )Currently most power banks are designed with 5V 2A input standard, which stands for the biggest amount of flow it can accept. Theoretically the charger you use to juice up such a power bank should be able to provide 2 A current flow which exactly match the needs. However, considering an estimated 15% power consumptionduring charging/discharging process, the actual input current would be 1700 mA ( 1.7A ).Applying the formula above the power bank 20000 mAh rated charging time = 20000 mAh / 1700 mA = 11.76 hoursIf you use a 1A rated charger, the charging time will be doubled to around 24 hours, which is not that acceptable.Hope it helps!

Can I use my phone while charging with a power bank?

The risk is very small but there is always a risk that something might go wrong. Ultimately it is your choice and how much risk you are comfortable with. In practical terms, accidents or things going wrong are extremely rare and far apart, but they do happen. Most times when people use a battery bank is in between using the mobile, you are going to do something else and you plug it to a power bank to charge while you are away doing something else.Power banks these days have a lot of built-in safety because of past issues so if you buy a power bank today the chances of anything going wrong are far less than when they started to get popular. Saying that, use your common sense. Buy a good power bank in the first place. Some of the cheap power banks in the market can or will miss features like over-current protection, overcharge protection, short circuit protection, over discharge protection, or high-temperature protection. These should be standard with any power bank these days. By getting a quality product, you won’t have to watch your phone as it approaches 100%, or even worry whether it’s safe to leave a phone charging for too long or even using it while charging.Your phone will suffer the most though. Constantly using your phone while it is charging can wear down its components over time. If you ever use your phone while it was being charged, then you might notice that your phone gets very hot. This is dangerous for the battery inside. If your phone gets hot for any reason, stop using it immediately. It can damage your phone and worst-case scenario, explode (trust me, it has happened). You can find out from your manufacturer’s user manual what they say about overheating but, generally speaking, overheating phones is not a good thing.Below are some ideas of power banks that have built-in security on them and they are very good. DC motor power supply... help!?

Hello,

I plan on building a coil winder. I am not experienced in such things.

I have a Brevel 36v 1.2A 95rpm DC reversible gearmotor. Here is a link with specs in case it helps:
http://cgi.ebay.com/95-RPM-36-VDC-GEARMOTOR-Model-780-953075-5-1044-/380227068974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58874ca42e

I need to power it somehow. I was searching, and found this power supply:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Genuine-KODAK-HP-A0601R3-36V-1700mA-1-7A-AC-ADAPTER-/270708540463?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f077c842f

Or this power supply:
http://www.amazon.com/Electric-Scooter-Battery-Charger-Adapter/dp/B004DH15OQ

I plan to use it with a variable speed foot pedal. It's this one:
http://www.amazon.com/MOTO-TOOL-PEDAL-power-tools/dp/B000P4E412

Would this work? I am not sure if the Kodak power supply is meant for continuous use. I also don't know if the foot pedal is meant to receive DC power. Finally, if I have the motor at 1.2A, but the power supply is rated for 1.7A or more, would that damage the motor?

Am I missing anything else?

Thanks in advance!

Are Power banks allowed on planes?

Are Power banks allowed on planes?Answer A: It will depend on the capacity in Wh (watt hours) but most commercially available ones should be OK. The IATA guidelines say that under 100Wh (multiply Ah x V to get Wh) is OK to bring on board and in cargo if installed in equipment. If they are loose spare batteries you can bring as many in carry on but not in the hold. Between 100-160Wh same applies but you are restricted to 2 spare loose batteries and again not allowed to check in. If over 160Wh you have to declare it and it has to be packed in cargo under the Dangerous Goods guidelines. Most airlines follow the IATA guidelines.Answer B: only restriction I found was that the battery must be under 100Wh. Keep in mind that you have to validate the rules for any Airlines you will be flying and the airport rules if they are not in the US. It must be in hand luggage and not in a suitcase in the hold.Answer C: They may be found in (at least) IATA documentation and also a number of courier companies and most battery manufacturers have advice documents. Removable batteries must be carried in carry-on luggage with the exception mentioned below. Having batteries in carry=on makes sense - would you rather have a fire in a cargo hold or an overhead locker. There is an upper limit to the amount of Lithium metal that may be carried. Some manufacturers provide specific mass of Li per battery. Otherwise they have a linear conversion between Watt hour of battery (Vbat x mAh.) and Li metal.Answer D: It's fine in your carry on-luggage only. Batteries are not allowed in check-in luggage, only in carry on-luggage where they can be monitored. Here are the rules for batteries:In order to ensure air transport safety, FAA,IATA, Airport has issued relevant regulations to regulate air passengers and crew members carrying power banks on to flights. The rated energy of power banks which can be carried on board is restricted and identification method for rated power has also been specified. For details, see the “Announcement of Rules for Air Passengers Carrying Power Bank onto Flights”.There is additional information available from the TSA and the IATA.Prohibited ItemsLithium Batteriesi copy the answer from here: When flying, are you allowed to bring external battery packs / power banks? by Allen He on Power Bank

I tried charging my Power Bank. The led lights were not blinking which means the Power Bank is not charging. What happened to my Power Bank and how am I going to fix it?

If you haven't tried already, try charging the power bank through  different outlet. If that dint fix it then there are 2 things that could have happened. 1. The circuit board that connects the LED lights could be dead or someone gotten malfunctioned. 2. Your power bank is dis-functional and it could have broke to something on the circuit board or from extensive use. I would charge it for the amount of time you usually do until the power bank is fully charged. After that try using the power bank to see if it charges your device. If it doesn't charge then your power bank probably broke and i would  contact the company of which it was made from. If that is the case you might want to try getting one from a different company. This technology review site has a lot of them on their site and they test and rank them on how well they work so you might want to check them out. If you don't see one you like you can direct message them and they could get the information you want. charging devices hope this helps!

I need a large portable power to take camping to power things like MP3 player, portable TV, tablet, etc.?
