Help For Getting An Appartment

How can I get help getting an apartment?

I am 18, soon to be 19 in may. My boyfriend of 4+ years just turned 20. Through out our whole lifes we have had many family problems. A couple months after my 18th birthday I got kicked out from my parents.... they did the same thing to my older brother and sister when they turned 18. I am currently living with my sister and her 4 children and husband. Her husband is out of town most of the time and she finally got a job. I am starting college in August and I`m afraid living there will hinder my education. Even before my sister got a job, I was at home day and night while she went out and did what ever, with the children, ages 3-12. I have no vehicle, and my bf is in the process of getting one. He lives at home with his mother, grandmother, and younger brother. He is living in a home of hoarders and drug addicts. His mother can`t even obtain a slightly normal life bc she won`t stop snorting pills, and his grandmother is 83. His younger brother is 16, and as we see it.... he`s not living in the proper enviroment. He is in the process of starting a jon in factory work, til then we would like to move out. Just so i can be in a more suitable environment for school, as well as his younger brother. We are needing help possibly by the gov. for housing. We are good people, nit looking for permanent gov. help, just til we can get on our feet. can anyone help me figure out how to go about how to get help with an apartment? I would greatly appreciate it!

Help! Getting an apartment with a misdemeanor?

I have a misdemeanor theft on my record from two years ago. I paid my fines and did everything so the case is closed now. I am trying to get an apartment. How should I go about this? The first thing they do is a background check. I was thinking I would disclose it up front with them first. Is there any other steps I should take? I know what I did was wrong and it kills me everyday. I just want to move on from this

Getting my own apartment after high school? Help...?

I graduate in 2014, and I really want to get my own place after high school.. not right after high school, like a few months.. I want/need some freedom and i really want to mature a bit. I'm the babygirl in my family, so I really want to show my parents, and myself that I can do something on my own.. My plan was to get a job this year (My junior year) , but they won't let me :( They said I need to focus on my grades, and I'll have plenty of time to work after I graduate. But the thing is, I was going to save up to rent an apartment with that money. But my grades are already decent, so I don't really see the harm, I can handle a little pressure...

I'm going to a community college (planning to) after high school. Any ideas on what I should do? I love my parents to death, but getting my own place is sounding better by the minute.. I know there's some cons to living on my own in an apartment, but I'm pretty sure I can handle it.. Please answer? I'll answer one of yours... thanks! (:

Help with getting wifi in apartment with a wired connection?

I'm guessing you're trying to set a static IP for some device?

First you'll want to check the configuration on the router and the apartment network, to see what subnet ranges they are using.

And what your router is assigning. It would help to know what your router is, but I'm guessing some fancy one that's got a couple of settings and networks? It might be possible to tell it to assign different blocks of IP addresses, or to check what IP addresses it has outside of its range of assignments.

Bit hard to figure out though.

Of course, if you're doing it for the apartment addresses, well, it depends on how they've configured things, if you're trying to set the router's IP, you'd have to find out what range they wanted you to use, and most likely they'll tell you to use DHCP.

In that case, you might want to set the router to use a different block for the private networks on its internal process, or you might have to enable NAT.

Does Job Corps help you find a job and get an apartment after you graduate? Please help?

You could try getting roommates with people you meet. Don’t remember if they said anything about that. I didn’t need that so.. But you can stay on campus for up to 3 years. There are cheap rooms on Craigslist you could find. Like you could live in a shared room ( look up shared on it in the rent sect ) and live there for a while until you save up enough to get something more.

How can I help my cat adjust to a new apartment?

It’s a little hard to say what’s wrong without knowing what’s changed besides the apartment and a new person to adjust to. It sounds like something your cat liked very much is now missing from her life.Does she get along okay with the roommate? Are you spending less time with her than you used to? Did you leave behind her favorite chair/window seat/sofa/toys?Calming pheromones can help. I also recommend playing with your cat and giving her as much attention as possible. The play will help tire her out and possibly reduce some of the activity and aggressiveness. As always, I suggest a checkup with the vet. There could be a physical reason for her behavior that has nothing to do with the move. You certainly want to rule this out. Also, the vet should have further advice on how to help your cat.Good luck!

How can you help me get my car from an apartment management impound because it didn't have a parking sticker?

Apart from giving you money to bail your car out, no the only way to get your car out of the impound is to pay the fees. Usually the manager calls the towing company when he finds an illegally parked car, after that its off his hands and the towing company takes care of things. They are used to angry people wanting their cars back, they’ve heard all the stories before, all they want is the cash, they don’t even want your car. If you were illegally towed, then you can sue the apartment manager to pay your fees, but it sounds like you were in the wrong.

How do you get rid of roaches in an apartment?

Can I get off my apartment lease in this situation? please help!

A lease does not make you a prisoner in your own home. You are free to leave at any time. The consequences of breaking a lease are minimal compared with the consequences of living in fear for your family's health and safety. You do not have to speak with anyone or ask to be released from your lease. If you want to leave then just move out. Send the landlord the keys with a certified letter stating that you have vacated the apartment due to health and safety concerns over "uninhabitable conditions" at the premises.  In most cases, the landlord will simply keep your security deposit and find another tenant.  Thus, the landlord's damages will be minimal and he/she will be unlikely to pursue you for breaking your lease.
