I totally know what you are saying. The other day, I was going to make myself a sandwich. Next thing I know, I have a big old shelf on my plate. Good thing I stopped and looked down before taking a bite. I still have the slivers from last time I that happened. The best thing to do is just play it cool. Act like you actually meant to build a shelf. Consider giving it away as a gift to someone you don't really like. I can tell if someone is mad at me because they send me a shelf for my birthday. It's so passive-aggressive. Another option is to make the shelf into a bench for "vertically challenged people". I would use another word that we all know, but people in this day and age consider that term a slur. But it is very easy to put a ladder next to the shelf and add some pillows and magazines. Then, next time a midget friend comes by for a visit, show him/her how much you care for their comfort.

Well I was just going about my day, and next thing I know I'm holding a hammer and some wood. I couldn't control it. When I was finally done building I knew what I had done...I had built a shelf...again. This isn't the first time this has happened. I do it at least once a month. Is there something I can do? Maybe a medicine I can take or a Councilor I can talk to? Please let me know ASAP!!

You need to enroll in a 12 step program ASAP. Shelf building is a gateway project; before you know it you will be moving on to more hardcore projects, like entertainment centers or cabinets. From there you may develop a need for more and more equipment and lust for more shop space. When you find yourself making custom ink pens on a lathe and are proud of that, then you are lost forever.

I accidentally skipped entering BIOS after first boot of computer I just built... how do I get there now?
Do I even need to go into there? I thought it would just come up- it's my first build and I installed the operating system and now it's just working normally- I don't really know at what point I was supposed to have entered it?
I accidentally changed bios setup settings and my desktop will not boot now. Please help!!?
I was looking around in my bios settings on start up and before i left the settings i reset to default settings just to make sure i didn't change anything. The computer restarted and flashed a blue screen and opened the setup repair screen. I tried running the setup repair and nothing was found. It is a custom built computer so there must have been some settings that were not default or something. Is there a way for me to find out what settings i need to change them back to?

Okay. I've spilled an entire cup of diet coke and whiskey on my PC and let it play til it fritzed just to see how it would do. I then immediately unplugged everything and cleaned each component. The computer was unharmed.First are you sure everything was damaged? I can probably bet you that most things were not. Did you power and unplug the pc and ensure it dried immediately after?First it was clearly an accident. Second I doubt he damaged all your components.Tesg each one and see which ones were really damaged. If you failed to do the immediate unplug and seperstion of units after and let it run then you're partially responsible too.
