You don't say how old you are,I'm not sure if there is any particular reason you would be so worried about your mum.Has she been ill recently or depressed?It may be worth calling her friends to see if they have seen her, and perhaps contacting other family members.I would also consider answering the phone to the unknown number.Depending on your age, be cautious about giving out too many details if you don't know the caller.It may be completely innocent.In the UK, the police will often call local hospitals but may not do this immediately. It might be worth contacting them yourself in the mean-time.If none of the above lead to any answers, by all means contact the police and be prepared to give details of her car, what she was wearing etc.

Your phone has a case which is pressed together in either two or three parts. With care (I said care) they should be prised apart with a fairly small screwdriver. Wear gloves because as you do this the screwdriver blade will slip and go into the palm of your hand. With the casing open leave the phone 'innards' inside. Get hold of your hair drier and dry it out just as you would your hair. When you are sure it has dried out carefully press the parts back together BUT keep the flesh of your hand clear so as to prevent it getting pinched. Nota Bene : Be careful when separating the phone because there are little knibs which enble it to snap together - you do not want to break these otherwise you'll end up using sticking plaster to hold the pieces together.
