How do I convince my parents to let me take my Instagram off of private?

its better to have your instagram on private so no one steals your pics or something. I have mine on private and I still get likes. Just ask people for a shoutout or follow a bunch of people and they might follow back

My parents are unbelievably strict, HELP!?

I'm an Indian girl and 15 years old. My parents are being extremely overbearing and I hate it. My parents put restrictions on my phone for the app store and apps 12+ because they did not want me to use the apps Instagram and Snapchat. So, today I found out the restrictions passcode and I downloaded my Instagram and Snapchat. My dad found out and took my phone away from me and changed the restrictions passcode.

Is it my fault that they are overbearing and limit me to almost nothing? I have no social life because of them. I am not allowed to text anyone after 9:00 PM. I am not allowed to hang out with friends. I am not allowed to speak to boys.

It's not like I do anything wrong to have them have no trust in me? They just do it. I am so pissed off and done. I have straight A's, I'm taking 5 AP classes as a sophomore, I am ranked 1 in my school, and I have colleges hunting me down now bc they want me in their school.

What more can a parent ask for? Not only that, I play soccer, volleyball, and I am in HOSA, SECME, Art club, and others. I also am in cross country and track.

What do they want from me? All they want is to ******* punish me and I ******* hate it. I ******* hate them so much and I just want to graduate and go to an out-of-state college to leave their ******* asses.

What am I doing wrong? I am pissed and annoyed. Now, they are saying that I need to go to a local college that is 10 minutes away from me. HELP!

Getting into photography?

Hey I wanna get into photography. Its a bit overwhelming but my goal is to become a pro in a month or 2. I already have a camera so that should help.
What websites or videos could help me understand editing software like light room/photoshop?
Also a guide to taking amazing photos, setting up studios and understanding the equiptments necessary.

Excellent job on your weight loss! Yes, your pictures show a real difference, and your statistics are much more healthy. Here are my comments on the story here.

6 pounds weight loss is a lot in a little over a week. Three inches on your waist is also a great difference. How did you do it? What kind of exercise did you do, what kind of diet plan did you follow?

To calculate a good weight for your height, you can use your BMI (Body Mass Index). There are two calculators you might use: one is for teens, and one is for adults. By the adult measurement, a healthy weight is between 111 and 150 pounds. By that measure, you are already at a healthy weight. Losing a little extra weight down to 127 wouldn't be unreasonable or unhealthy for you.

However, when I look at your 'before' pictures, I notice that your body tends to gain weight in the belly. If you have extra belly fat, then you are more likely to develop diabetes and heart problems. Even though 143 pounds is in the 'normal' weight range, the belly fat might be enough to be a health risk.

You can test this by an ABSI calculator, which matches your weight, height, but also your waist measurement. Notice that they use a particular waist measurement, with no sucking in your belly. You want your ABSI "Z score" to be zero, or a little bit negative, and your "relative risk from ABSI" to be less than 1. I'm guessing that before your weight loss, you had enough extra stomach fat to be at higher risk. But now, you are probably close to no extra risk, which is great!

Your before and after pics are perfect, and you are right - using the same clothing, whenever possible, helps compare the changes in your body when you lose weight. Note the instructions below on measuring your waist - it's the way that health professional and geeks can figure our exactly if your fitness is good.

Looking at your 'after' pics, I notice that your waist is much slimmer, and your belly is back to normal. You waistline is still a little bit soft, so I would say that you would losing another 10 pounds would improve your health and fitness a bit more - your belly would be more flat, and you would see more definition in your waistline, from the front and side views.
