Help Its Urgent What Does This Mean Old Navy Modeling I Think

Urgent: math modeling help! linear or exponential questions. can you answer these questions/?

Here, ** is the representatiion of the exponentation operator. So 2 ** 3 = 2 * 2 * 2 = 8
1. Linear. The equation for population growth is 2500 + 325 * y, where y is the number of years since current year. if y = 4, then the population is 3800 people
2. Exponential. The equation for price of food is 100 * (1 + r) ** m, where r is the inflation rate and m the number of months. The result is 100 (1.3) ** 3 = 100 * 2.197 = 219.70
3. Exponential. The price is is 50 / (1 + r) ** y where r is the rate and y is the number of years.
So the price is 50 / (1.14) ** 3 = 50 / 1.48 = 33.75
4. Linear. The equation for the value of house is 100,000 + 2,000 * y, where y is the number of years. So in 5 years it will be costing 100,000 + 2,000 * 5 = 100,000 + 10,000 = 110,000
----> equations where the dominant term is k * x are linear.... (where k is a constant). You can also tell it is linear because there is a fixed constant value added at every year (every installment, every month, etc).
----> equations where the dominant term is k ** x are exponential...( where k is a constant and is neither zero nor 1). You can also tell it is exponential because there is a ratio to be applied to the current value at every year (every installment, every month, etc). So the value is actually compounded.

What are the most memorable SSB interview moments candidates had?

My only SSB at 2 AFSB MysoreInterview: while my IO asked me everything since my childhood to my present,my relations with parents, friends, teachers all. But the point that give me goosebumps is this.IO: tell me names of your fivevery close friendsMe: named( he was acting as if he is writing their names), some kind of psycokogical tricks.then he distracted me with asking my qualities and thenIO: if I ask ( while going through the names of my friends and selected to one) 'x' to tell me about your negative qualities, what would he say?I was dumbstruck. We all prepare to tell our positives  and negatives ftom our point of view but not from someone other's. Luckily I was able to dodge it.   2. Conference: After some normal questions the president asked me how good I am in maths.I said I'm pretty good with it since its my domain. Then he asked me what's my probability of getting recommended. Here I had ro select two kind of probabilities. One relating to the tasks, ie conditional, second, of getting recommended i.e natural.I selected to choose the former, and since out of 10 I was not sure of one task, I said its ".9" and explained why.He said " but naturally you'll be either selected or rejected". So we both laughed and I had to say its ".5". We again laughed and then it was over. Results: I knew I did good but did not know what was good enough for recommendation. So was not expecting my name. When chest no 01(my chest no.)was announced, I could not believe my ears till my friends congratulated me and told me to go to the stage. I can never forget this moment!

Well I wouldn't know since I fought in the Civil War and am answering from beyond. But a thought the library has alot of books on Wars and other helpful information and if you don't know what a library is. It's a big building with alot of books and many other interesting things. Look in your local phone book. Well I am going back to sleep now will wake up again in another century and check my email again. I check it when I awaken from my sleep and by the way I will say hello from Daniel Boone for you.

Is Pakistan's claim of intercepting & expelling an Indian submarine true?

Here's my analysis on the incidentThe Pakistani statement is a mixture of truth and false statements. The picture released by Pakistan Navy shows an Indian Navy submarine snorkeling. From the ESM antenna, periscope, snorkel and radio antenna, we can deduce that it is most likely an Indian Navy Shishumar class submarine. This submarine was well within international waters as stated by Pakistan themselves. The submarine was on a routine Patrol. And since it was peacefully snorkeling, it wasn't trying to enter Pakistani waters in any way, but was collecting Pakistan Navy radio activity from far through its ESM sensors.Do note with care that the submarine was far from Pakistani coast. We do not risk our assets by sending them near the enemy un escorted.Pakistan knew that it is in international waters and hence they cannot do anything. So they took pictures using their anti submarine aircraft IR camera, and circulated it.Since they are not in the news, they wanted to have their 15 minutes of fame. Hence they added masala to an incident which happens regularly and publicized it to suit their interests. They didn't chase it in any way. If they tried to do so forcefully, it would be an act of war as the submarine was in international waters.Do Pakistanis really think India will send a submarine which is partly surfaced to infiltrate into their territorial waters? If India really wanted to infiltrate, we would have sent Sindhughosh class subs with better underwater endurance and range or our nuclear sub INS Chakra.

How did people communicate in the olden days?

It depends on how you define 'olden days'. Many of those who are part of today's younger digital age could refer to the olden days as anything prior to the introduction of text/SMS messaging via your mobile phone or the advent of the computer and email messaging system. If we consider the olden days as the time before the introduction of the telephone then communication and correspondence were very different to the forms we use today:• Cave, or rock, paintings were used in prehistoric times and some, such as those found at Chauvet in France, can be dated back to 30000BC. Although, the precise nature of these drawings is not known historians believe that they may have been an early form of communication.• Smoke signals, although mostly associated with the Native American tribes of North America, were used as far back as 2100BC in ancient China. Soldiers holding guard on the Great Wall were able to inform their comrades of a forthcoming attack. By passing on the message they could send a signal as far as 750 kilometres in just a few hours.• Messengers were used in ancient times to deliver important communications from A to B, either by foot or on horseback. Some marathons that run today trace the route taken by these early couriers.• Carrier pigeons have also been used to transfer physical messages from place to place. These birds were used to great effect during World War I and World War II, 32 of which earned the Dickin Medal for bravery - often referred to as the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross.• Electrical telegraphy, such as Morse code, was used to send messages across America during the 1800s. By 1861 the messages, a series of deciphered sonic beeps and dashes, could be sent from coast-to-coast.
