Help Me By Viewing This Diy

Cheap DIY Dune costume?

I have some friends that are throwing a Dune viewing party and encourage costumes for it. I have never read the books or seen the movie. The party is this Saturday which does not give me a lot of time to come up with a costume or watch the movie beforehand.

I need ideas for a cheap diy female dune costume. Thanks!

What would it take to make DIY Street View camera with not less image quality than Google Street View?

Nowadays, contributors to Street View use lots of different cameras. For reference, Google has a list of third-party cameras that they’ve certified Street View ready, accessible here. I’d suggest taking a look at those. I went through the Street View ready review process myself, and image quality was pretty much Google’s number 1 criteria. So I think it’s safe to say all solutions present in this list will meet your image quality standards.‘DYI’ tells me you’re looking for a cost-effective solution. I’d therefore recommend taking a look at what we do at iStaging. Our solution leverages your smartphone to capture 360 panoramas in 8K resolution — not quite as high as those captured by the Google Street View car, but chances are you won’t really see the difference.I think the solution is a good compromise between image quality and cost — in fact there is no hardware cost whatsoever. We ship the Rotator and Lens for free. These two pieces of equipment augment your smartphone’s capabilities to allow it to capture full 360 panoramas, in a similar output quality as those you’d capture with a $500 360 camera.

What lenses will give you the most immersive or 3d viewing effect for DIY Occulus rift?

The special technique in the Occulus Rift is not so much the choice of lenses alone, as the combination of the lenses and the introduced distortion created for the two screen views in the headset. The lenses and the screen views are designed to work together so that the combined effect is a pair of rectilinear views that match the expected wide field of view that would be seen with bare eyeballs. A DYI version of Rift would have to match that combination, which I can't cite in detail except as the concept was explained to me by Palmer Lucky at Sundance before good fortune blessed him. I expect the lenses are aspheric in order to manage that much refraction. There was gossip about an earlier test version with chromatic aberration, and I took that to indicate the image and the lenses are designed to manage chromatic aberration in combination, with the test units for developers not including the full optical system yet. I could be wrong about that, it was just a guess at the time.A lot of people don't know that many camera lenses today are corrected in camera by software, instead of striving for expensive correction through use of exotic glass and multiple aspheric design. A Leica or Zeiss lens is designed to be sharp all by itself. But computation and optics can work together for a good result at a much lower cost. My guess is that the Rift design is similar.

How do I build my own Street View camera as cheap as possible?

Six Xiaomi Yi (rev. Z23L) with hacked firmware or running scripts, attached to a 3D-printed or wooden 360° rig. Best price/image quality combination by far.

Is it possible to save a specific street in Google Street View for offline viewing?

Probably not, but you can do so if it is covered by the open source projects OpenStreetCam, or Mapillary.

Is there an industry average for YouTube’s audience retention rate (say, for how to/DIY videos, the average percentage viewed is 75%)?

The retention rate on video does vary by niche. The most reliable source of information I have read stated that the highest of any niche is at about 65%. In the how to and DIY field information I have says that these videos typically have an average retention rate between 25% to 45%…let’s face it, the viewer knows where the meat of the content is going to be and will skip to it if they like the project. You can see how you are doing in this by looking at analytics and going to retention. When you do, choose one of your videos and then look at your relative audience retention. This screen defaults to absolute so you just change it to relative and it will show you how that video’s retention faired vs others of the same type.
