Help Me How To Distribute A Limited Amount Of Gifts To Poor Children.

Would you be OK with a worldwide limit of 2 children per couple?

Would you be OK with a worldwide limit of 2 children per couple? No.Do you know what happens when you limit the number of children you can have? Little girls are literally killed because in a lot of cultures people prefer boys. Daughters are okay, as long as they have sons. I think that is insane, but it is the reality in too many places. Your idea is basically saying, would I be okay with them having open season on baby girls. Without a limit on the number of children, you can have, too many people abort girls because they want boys.It is possible that you’re asking this question just to see what people think and you’re not actually advocating this horrifying idea. Limiting the number of children people are allowed to have is the ultimate violation of people’s freedoms, it makes the attacks on speech, press, self-defense pale in comparison.Seriously, no. In fact, I can’t think of a better reason to take up arms against governments than this.

I want to help needy and poor people but I don't have money. How can I help them?

Hey!!Good to see that people having no money, but have got a big heart.I really don't think giving money to beggars can ever be a good option. When nothing in this world comes for free, why should beggars get money by mere sympathy instead of hard work?As I am pursuing my b.tech from Nagpur and i live as PG,so there are expenses.I don’t have a fixed pocket money,it varies everytime. All depends on whether my mood flips on with time. But I love helping needy ones.So i celebrated this birthday with them, have gone through the streets of Nagpur and found a crowd of small children.I went close to them had a short conversation with them, gave some food and clothes and according to me great birthday celebrations are unnecessary when there are people who cannot even afford next meal. After spending an hour with them i asked them “can i leave?”(as those were the days my exams were on) suddenly one of them said “Itne jaldi”Translated: Why so early!!With smile on my face i said “Jald hi milenge”Translated: Will meet soon :)So this was my story. This birthday was simple but gave me lot more happiness than any other birthday celebration. When you make someone else smile on your birthday, I mean the real happiness, you cannot imagine how much happiness you receive in your heart.Notice the satisfaction one gets by helping someone needy. And Here are few things that you can do:1).Help the poor student by giving them your old books.2).You can let go that extra blanket in your wardrobe, humanity needs it.3).Have low self esteem, they wish for a better life - leave them feeling valued even if you don't have a dime to offer, don't give that awkward look when they ask for money.4).When travelling somewhere, keep stack of biscuits in your car, many kids ask for money in traffic signals, instead give them biscuits that can feed their hunger.5) You buy a movie ticket worth Rs.300 at the cinema - the poor doesn't have such surplus. You can invite them to spend some time with you alone.Humans are everywhere but only few of them are HumaneSo please do help the needy ones :)

I want to donate some money, but I don't want to give it to a charity organisation or a temple. I really want it to make it available to poor and needy people but I am not sure how. What would be the best possible way?

If you have one percent doubt on giving money to someone then dont give money to them. I will tell first " what you should not do" and "what you should do"what you should not do:dont give money to poors directly because they can misuse of it.dont give money to illiterate people because they also can misuse of it.dont give money to whom you dont trust fully.dont give money to such trust and organisation which is not transparent because you will be not able to see what is happening with your money and also there are many trust and organisations, not all which uses to cover black money and other things.what you should do:give money to such person, organisation where you will be knowing of each penny, where its going. It should be transparent also, always look for that your money is going on that path where you wanted to, its mean for good consequences. Then only your money will help someone really in this corrupt world.some lines about me:my name is suraj and i am from bihar. By the grace of god i became an engineer and doing job in IT company but i am leaving my job because to help people. As you all know, BIHAR situation, we need many hands to help them, right now, I have less money so I will open free school for poor people.Humble request to you all people, if you able to help me in any manner or you want to be part of it, then come forward.please please please help me and humanityI am praying for it.Hope i didn't waste your time.jai hind jai bharat

Link economic system up with subsistence system?

Technically, a subsistence system is a type of economic system. Consider reading Layton's Marxist Anthropology chapter from a book called An Introduction to theory in anthropology. I don't usually like Marxist anthropology but this particular analysis is one I do like. It covers the differences you are looking at, especially what Sahlins called the 'economy of limited objectives' - wherein the people work with an enough-for-now sort of attitude rather than one of accumulating wealth for the distant future/for the inheritance or dowry of one's children. Another thing to read would be the second chapter of Myth and Meaning by Levi-Strauss.

Do I absolutely have to Tithe 10%?

The Lutheran church does not require you to tithe 10%, although it is given as a good guideline when figuring out how much to put in the offering plate.

We are told to give what we can, and to trust that God will provide for us. The amount, while the church treasurer will know, is really between God and us. If you believe you can afford 10%, then give 10%. If you can think your budget can only afford 5%, then give 5%. If you can give 20%, then give 20%. Whatever you give, give with your whole heart, with joy, and with gladness. Do not give out of obligation.

At our last church, we all knew what the budget was for the year, and about how much was needed from each family to make it happen. (We were a VERY small congregation) As such.... most of us gave at least that amount. And for some it was over 10%, for some it was less. You gave what you could! And, most importantly, NO ONE else knew how much each family gave, including Pastor. The only thing he saw was the weekly total.

ETA: Sunny. so my blessings from God are dependent upon how much I give??? No wonder so many are hateful toward Christianity! I wouldn't tolerate that way of thinking either!

What was christmas like in victorian times?

They sent boys named Tim to fetch a goose for dinner.

And everyone had candles. It was much simpler back then.

Are Republicans pro-corporation and anti-small business?

Seems to me that Republicans seem to encourage these big corporations over mom and pop businesses. I would love to have the option to go into an old-fashioned corner grocery store but now all there are are these giant corporations. You also get these mass media companies like Fox which own half of the televison channels. Now the Republicans are supporting the corporations like the giant insurance companies. I'm not saying that there aren't democrats that are supported by corporate lobbyists but generally to me the Republicans seem pro-corporation rather than small business. What do you think about this? I hope I didn't offend anyone with this. It's just my opinion.

Thanks for any responses

The New England Puritans-Who Were they?

my knowledge is limited but here's what I know.

The Puritans weren't actually a denomination, so much as people of any protestant denomination that wanted to "Purify" the Church from within. However, most of them were Presbyterian. One of their main goals was to establish in the Church that there is no authority outside the Bible itself. That includes the hierarchy of the Church.

I Don't know that the puritans particularly had a lot of power in most of New England, but they did have power in small areas. I could be wrong in that though. (sorry, this is all off the top of my head, but I learned it in history class last semester)

The Puritans actually overthrew the English monarch Charles I, even beheading him. Charles was the only English monarch ever to be executed. The leader of the new Commonwealth was Oliver Cromwell, another Puritan.

Most puritans were pretty radical, though it has been blown a bit out of proportion (history tends to do that) The Salem Witch Trials were a very extreme case of what could happen under them. It was not the norm. Oliver Cromwell was more of a moderate, but he wasn't able to hold back the radical nature of the other puritans in Parliament.

So you can see that they were not limited to North America. The Puritan movement started, I believe, under Queen Elizabeth I though they didn't have much power until after her reign (her successor, King James authorized the famous King James Version of the Bible to pacify the Puritans of his time)

So there's a bit of history of puritans. I hope it's at least somewhat helpful
