Help Me Join A Great Course In College.

Is it better to join in a good college with a course you are not interested in or in a bad college with course that you are interested in?

It really depends on what you want to pursue some years down the line. And if you have decided that or not.If, for example, you have an interest developed in Computer Science and wish to continue doing that in the longer run, you should go after the field (what you mentioned as course), no matter what the college is. This opens up opportunities for you to pursue Masters anywhere, in India or abroad, in that particular field. This is if you are very determined you will continue doing that in the future. If you think you’d be taking up a management degree/non-engineering/non-core degree/civil services etc. ahead, the field of Bachelor’s does not really matter there, except the scores in whatever field you are. But the college you graduate from can help you in getting admits from different B-schools. A good brand name w.r.t college is always a plus when you apply for IIMs, global B-schools or any other. This is when you know you won’t end up in the same field and are definitely going to study management ahead.Hope this is helpful. I’d recommend you also consult with other people, who you might know, have already graduated and have taken up different streams post graduation. Cheers!

Which college and which course should I join after my 12th and CPT to join CA?

CA is governed by ICAI ,not by an university or college. If u wish to be a CA ,i would suggest just to be focused towards CA as its not a cup of tea for everyone.usually it is said, that its easy to crack CA CPT,but i have seen people securing 85%+ marks in class 12th and still couldn’t clear CPT even after giving 3 times.Let me clear the myth in the indian education world.- “CPT is damn easy”-No,CPT is not at all easy.its easy in comparison to the next level,IPCC and moreover IPCC is easy in compare to CA final. Moreover,do not join any college for graduation,as ICAI has tie ups with IGNOU ,once you will clear CA CPT,approach IGNOU,submit a nominal fee and they will issue you certificate of bcom pass 1st year, when you will clear IPCC,you can apply for 2nd year certificate from IGNOU,same goes for CA final .Hope this helps !!!!All the best

How do I use LOA to join my desired course in my dream college in 20 days?

Here’s how I would use the law of attraction to join my dream college in 20 days. Here’s what to do.Firstly I would…Create a mental scene the would represent the desired outcome as fulfilled. For example, you could see yourself opening a letter and with the college acceptance inside. The Second thing I would do is…Mentally play that in your mind whilst mustering all the feel-good emotions you can.Your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between something real and something imagined. For example, if imagined something like standing on the end of a building doing star jumps you might feel some anxiety. So what you’re trying to do is get your subconscious mind to accept it as already happened. The third thing you must do is…Do not try to anticipate how it will happen. If you get in the way by trying to second guess it then you are putting doubt in your mind.Just visualize that scene and feel good for the sake of feeling good about what you want. You will normally find the thing you want, will come in a way you least anticipated. That's not to say you shouldn’t do all the things you would normally do when trying to get on the course in the college you want.Just keep playing that end result in your mind with the feeling as the wish fulfilled.I hope that helps! If you want more help then you might want to check out my blog as I have a few articles on this subject.Either way, I wish you good luck and let me know when you get accepted :-)

I have finished my +2. What would be the best course and college for me to choose to join as a scientist/engineer in ISRO?

Join Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram. The admission is through JEE.Website: INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYIIST offers three space science specific courses at the undergraduate level: B Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences. If you obtain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on completion of the course, you will be absorbed into ISRO directly. Also, there is no fees. The hostel and food services are free too. Basically, you don't pay anything to the institute as long as you fulfill certain basic academic criteria. The admissions for 2013-2017 course are still going on (deadline for application is 10th July 2013).IIST B.Tech AdmissionsIf you wrote JEE-2013 Mains and Advanced, here are the qualifying criteria for admission:In JEE Advanced, you need to score as per the following for qualifying:(The marks secured by the candidate in JEE(Advanced)- 2013 examination will be used only for deciding his/her eligibility for admission, and will not be considered for preparing the rank list for admission to IIST)You can read more about the courses here: http://www.iist.ac.in/admission/...If you like space sciences and related technology, you will mostly likely like at least one of the three branches offered. The specific nature of these courses will give you an edge over people from other colleges in ISRO.However, if you do not qualify this year, apply to IIST next year or simply join any other ordinary engineering college with a conventional branch (mechanical, electrical, electronics, etc) and study well and pass the ISRO exam.I would personally suggest joining IIST because they are the first space technology university in Asia and provide you the knowledge you need in the field early on. The quality of education and faculties in most departments is arguably at par with that of the IITs. The quality of laboratory, library and other infrastructure is something you will find only at a handful of institutes in the country. And its free, what more do you need?

If I failed some college courses can I still join the military?

I failed a whole year of college. My freshman year I did great but this year sucked. I failed fall online classes because of extenuating circumstances. I retook the same classes this spring but found out I wouldn't be able to pay for next year so I just let the classes fail because by the time I get out of the military the credits would have been unusable. It would have been too complicated to officially withdraw at that point in the semester so I just let them fail. So can I join the army still? I have 23 completed non failing hours. And no, I'm not just joining because I failed or can't afford college. I had wanted to join before but I felt college was what I "should" since I had the opportunity and nobody in my family ever did so not being able to afford it was almost a good thing for me.

Will joining the military help you get into a good college?

Yes and no - you still have to have the ability to complete the studies successfully.

The advantage of post-military students is that the educational benefits are superb [thanks to then Senator Obama - the Pentagon opposed the generosity of the GI Educational Bill] and you can pay for any accredited school in the USA that will admit you. Plus you get living expenses for 36-48 months at E-5 pay.

Some schools like veterans - a little age and seasoning helps if you are in some programs. Engineering is a good example of maturity helping.

GPA is not that important. Your SAT [just the CR and M [portions] or ACT is much more relevant. The Admissions office also looks at your "course rigor." If you were taking tough courses and got a 3.1, that means more than if you took a bunch of silly courses and got a much higher GPA..

I'm going to join PSG College of Technology. What is the best course to study?

My pick would be IT or CSE. The course is fun and the placements are good. I studied ECE, which is a very good department. Peer pressure is less in IT and ECE, you will find the department to be not so hectic like most of the departments in PSG. You can choose MECH or PROD if you want to work hard , but the placements are dull. Choosing IT would be a really good. Its an amazing college, you will have the best time of your life irrespective of whatever course you are going to choose. Cheers.

Is it advisable to join a great college with good campus life but not good course or join poor college with desired course?

Go for the college with better placement. Because at last thing which matters is job.If you have good academics then you will be able to get the dream job or you can study further in that domain. The main aim of going college is to get educated not for the campus. If the college is poor but there results are good then go for it. If the College is rich and they provide good academics and job then go for that one.

I want to drop out of college to join the Marines.?

you are in the same boat i was. i only lasted 2 terms at college then joined the marines because i was bored. you only do 4 years and the other 4 like he said are spent in the inactive ready reserve, not individual. all branches get the same college money so the other guy has no idea what he's talking about either...if you are supposed to be in the marines you will know it. if you're weighing options and trying to decide which one you like then we don't want you. i'm sorry and i'm not trying to hurt your feelings but less than 2 percent of america's population has ever been a marine and i hold those trying to join to high standards. it's not as glamorous as the other branches but they respect us and our enemies fear us. just think about it and no matter what you'll make the right decision for you.
