Help Me Which High School Is Best To Me

How do I Pick the Best High School For Me?

I am wondering how I should choose which high school I should go to. I applied for the Math and Science Center at Godwin and the Maggie Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies. I made it into both, and if you do not know anything about them, that is very hard. The Godwin center is made for math and science and is only for students in my county. Then, there is Maggie Walker, which is a Governor's school, which means that students from all around the greater Richmond area have applied and I made it into a slot of 54 out of the approximate 450 students that applied in my county. About 2000 people applied overall in the Richmond area. Maggie Walker is ranked 16th best school in the country, and I really like the place. Once I got the letter of acceptance, I was so delighted. Then, the first thing my parents discussed with me was that transportation would be difficult. My mom works an hour away and my dad on the other direction of Maggie Walker and my house. (The drive to Maggie Walker from my house is about 30 minutes). My parents are also arguing that Godwin would help me make it into a better college because I would have specifically studied Math and Science. The thing is, I don't know if that's what I want to do, I don't know at all what I want to do or be, and Maggie Walker is not extremely focused on anything. So that's what I want, an all-around education. Please give me some good answers and please provide some arguments that I could make to my parents that Maggie Walker would be the best for me because this decides everything past high school. Below are the websites for each school, because you might not know much about either.

Once again, thanks in advance for answering, and please no rude answers, leave that for the pointless questions.

What high school is best for me?!?

Congratulations. You really win with any one of your choices. Obviously, the advantage to attending wonderful public schools is that there is no tuition in exchange for a great education. The advantage of going to a Catholic high school is that they weed out any students who will serve as a distraction to learning and they will certainly offer more discipline which is good for everyone.

OK. If you are asking for an academic ranking or breakdown based on your choices:

1, Stuyvesant
2. St. Francis Prep
3. Townshend Harris
4. WJPS

** The five best high schools in the New York City area based on their type are:

CATHOLIC:

1. Regis (Boys) Manhattan
2. Xavier (Boys) Manhattan
3. Fordham Prep (Boys) Bronx
4. Dominican Academy (Girls) Manhattan
5. St. Francis Prep (Co-Ed) Queens

PUBLIC:

1. Stuyvesant (Co-ed) Manhattan
2. Bronx Science (Co-ed) Bronx
3. Staten Island Tech (Co-ed) Staten Island
4. Brooklyn Tech (Co-ed) Brooklyn
5. Townshend Harris (Co-ed) Queens

PRIVATE

1. Collegiate (Boys) Manhattan
2. Horace Mann (Co-ed) Bronx
3. Brearley (Girls) Manhattan
4. Trinity (Co-ed) Manhattan
5. Sacred Heart (Girls) Manhattan

What High school is best for me?

Alright dear, as of your grades right now, I can almost be sure, You can not be match to Beacon; Millennium; Bard; Manhattan Center. I'm not sure about Pace and Hunter, I have to check the Directory, you'll get it soon.
You're disqualify from those schools mainly because of your English grades, Beacon; Millennium; Bard; Manhattan Center....those schools accept students who have 85-100 on every single subjects and 3-4 on the ELA and math state exam in 7th grade, and Bard even requires a test and Beacon needs an interview. If you REALLY REALLY REALLY, want to get into those schools TRY YOUR BEST ON THE 4TH MARKING PERIOD, because it counts the most with your first and second marking periods of 8th grade. Because those schools have high competitions, and if you fail to meet any of the criteria, they can...most to say disqualify you automatically.
Just saying, why don't you take the SHSAT to see if you can get to schools like stuy, bronx science, brooklyn tech etc. I have a friend who did crappy in regular times, he had like high 80s and low 90s average and made into stuy this year with a 625.
If you live in Manhattan, I'll recommend you to go to a Queens School, because Manhattan schools are either consider the BEST, or the WORSE, meaning the best and the worse have a pretty far distance to catch up. Stuyvesant....you know.

Well, I can give you a list anyway according to your grades:
**Stuyvesant
**HSMSE
Chelsea Career and Technical Education High School
Essex Street Academy
Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers

** Schools that will not look at your report card grades but only the SHSAT grades, you can have a 65 but a 700 on the test and the still accept you as long as you graduate.
Warning: the test is harder than you thought, harder than the barron's practice book.

HOPE THIS HELP, and good luck!
