How do I get more votes to win an online contest?

The best way is to legitimately get more votes. This starts with entering the best possible entry you can. As another user said, you can share it on social media with your friends and ask them to vote for you. If you are a member of other forums or social groups, you can ask them to vote for you as well. It is best to start with the people closest to you and personally ask them to go vote- your parents, grandparents, close friends, neighbors, and people of that nature. These are going to be your best opportunity and the ones who are most likely to assist you. Beyond that, just general sharing of the contest, not necessarily plugging your entry, but asking others to go vote for which one they think is the best or most suited to the contest will help you garner more votes if your entry is in fact the best.  While there are ways to cheat the system on many of these types of sites, many of them also have tools in place to help them identify voter fraud. This can not only make you ineligible to win the prize, it can also prevent you from being able to enter any further contests on that site. Frankly, it is only fair that the best entry would win. If your entry is the best, then you should win, but it should be because you legitimately got the most votes and were declared the winner fairly and justly. A win by other means will only leave you feeling bad about your behavior, and will shine a negative light on your character if you are caught or otherwise discovered to have cheated.

Do you think 18 years old should vote?

I need to choose a side for my persuasive essay, but I'm on both side. Please give a reason why 18 years old should or should not vote.

(I think that all votes don't count because what if one side has like 50,000 and the other side has 40,000 if one person vote, the other side with 50,000 vote would still win. That's just an example for those who say all votes count.)

I mean why shouldn't 18 years old vote and why should they?

Where can I go to vote?

doesn't sound silly at all.

if you're not already registered, get registered. you can look up 'voter registration' and get all kinds of info. look up your city & state online - each city usually has a website that includes voting information for citizens.

be sure you know where your polling place is. again, ask your city (by phone if you want to) it can be a library, armory, neighborhood community center, town hall etc... plan to wait in line as that is quite common

go to your polling place WITH your photo id and voter registration card and the poll workers will help you from there.

understand that on election day, you'll be voting not just for prez, but for representatives, senators (maybe), local town councils, judges, school boards, potential laws etc.. anything or anyone who is up for reelection.

Would you vote for a corrupt politician if he helped YOUR situation?

I'm an unfortunately convicted child molester guilty of molesting 41 young children between the ages of 2 and 9. Most were coerced with violence. However, say I was running for office. Be it mayor, Congress, president, you name it - if I was never caught I would be running for president next year. So, would you vote for me even if with a reputation such as "child molester" despite helping lower taxes, improve the environment, anything really besides passing harsher laws to make it easier to successfully convict sex offenders, since I am one myself.

How do electoral votes work? ?

Yes, your vote counts. Electoral votes are votes made by official "Electors" that are voted by the majority of each state. Thus, since you are choosing electors, your vote counts. The number of electors is pre-determined by the number of representatives each state has in Congress. For example, California has about 53 Congressional representatives and 2 U.S. Senators, so their electoral vote is 55. Whichever presidential candidate wins a majority of a state, all of the electors for that candidate will be sent to the electoral college. (There are very rare instances of "unfaithful electors", but it is rare enough to ignore.)

435 Representatives, 100 Senators, and 3 representatives from the District of Columbia equals 538 representatives. Thus, the number of electors sent to the electoral college is also 538 (not the same people - again, the electors are chosen on the ballot by voters). Therefore, to be President, you need HALF PLUS ONE (269 + 1, or 270) to win the Presidency.

If, by chance, there is a 269-269 tie, Congress votes: one vote for each state. In this case, if you get 26 or more states voting for you, you would become President.

What can I say to convince my father to vote for Bernie Sanders?

Start by listening. Ask him why Hillary is more appealing to him than Bernie is.  Until you get into his world and understand his considerations, there's no way you'll be able to speak to them effectively. It's possible that, like many people, he's supporting Hillary because he sees her as a 'more electable' candidate, one more likely to win in the general.  This is an assumption on his part, and it's one worth questioning- in many polls, Sanders does better vs. likely GOP nominees than Hillary does. There's been a lot of misleading claims put out there about Sanders and his policies- these are not built to withstand scrutiny, they're there to prevent folks like your dad from seriously considering Sanders as a credible candidate.  If your dad just thinks of Sanders as a looney fringe crazybird, that voters don't want the kinds of policy Sanders promotes, or thinks that a president Clinton would be any less challenged by congress, it may be that he's operating in good faith, but on bogus information. Here are a couple useful points to throw out:He's got serious foreign policy chops [Bernie Sanders, the Foreign-Policy Realist of 2016 ]His positions are actually mainstream: [10 ‘Radical’ Ideas From Bernie Sanders: Guess Which Ones Most Americans Agree On? ] He takes positions voters like, while his competition instead cluster their positions within the range their donors approve of.  Interestingly, that makes him an outlier inside the beltway, but closer to the mainstream everywhere else than any other candidate. His arguments on how to solve our political problems address their derivations from market forces: Is Bernie Sanders the Most Pro-Market Candidate? - Evonomics - Sanders confronts the bankrupt idea that our freedom and well-being are best assured by not regulating special interests.Only your dad can change his mind.  You certainly can't without really understanding his reasoning. Otherwise you'll just be talking about something other than his concerns and considerations.

How do you vote multiple times on an online poll or contest?

If you have ever participated in an online voting competition, chances are there that you have not got much success. The reason behind it is that the voting competitions can easily manipulated since they are irresponsibly designed and can be hacked into. In most cases, the results are not at all dependent on the number of votes cast. People who are a bit aware of technology get the upper hand by manipulating the results by voting more than one time. Companies design these competitions for promotional purposes. The following guidelines will help you increase your chances of winning an online voting competition.Knowing the system architectureThe votes of an online competition are continuously tracked with the help of many technologies. Some of them are easy to crack if you know how the system is designed.GET method web form:It is one of the most poorly designed architecture where the URL is used to pass on the data. If the refresh button is pressed continuously, chances are high that you can hack into it. Hide your IP address and cookies to make your connection private. Alternatively, you can use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Copy the link of the page and paste it anywhere else. Every time someone clicks on it, you get a vote.POST method web form:Using the back button on your browser, this architecture can be hacked. Instead of displaying the form in the URL, it is passed via the request body. Hence in terms of security it is better than the GET method web form. Block the cookies using your web browser. A few other things that may work are:Clearing cookies: Many online voting competitions support anonymous voting where you don’t have to sign in. You can vote repeatedly by clearing the cookies on your browser again and again. Use Google Chrome or any other extension to get the job done.Account Verification: You can consider creating multiple accounts where verification is required. Certainly you cannot do automated mass voting and the process requires a lot of time and effort. Never the less, it can be done.Verification over E-mail: You need to set up multiple email IDs and provide each of them in the contest field. The next step is to click on the link which is sent to the individual IDs to make your vote count.
