My laptop has a few problems... please help?

You have a scratch on your laptop pad. There's nothing you can really do about it :) You can, however, get the black smudge off with some rubbing alcohol. That will clean it off safely and it dries quick. Hope this helped.

Problem with new laptop connecting to the internet via wireless?

The problem most likely is not with your computer, but with your router not handing out new IP's. Try this, reset your router unplug the power cord for a count of 10. Then plug it back in, let the router cycle back on then try to connect the laptop to the router. I would bet it works this time...

Can somebody please help with my laptop? White wire? Wireless connection issues?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4040 bought earlier this year. An unexpected, unfortunate event happened which caused a crack in the lower right corner of the lid, exposing a white wire that has been severed due to this. I have no idea what this wire goes to. I checked the microphone, camera, speakers, headphone jack, touch pad, USB ports, etc. Everything checked out fine and passed all diagnostic checks. I'm smart enough to realize that wire isn't there for decoration.

Up until recently I haven't encountered any issues. Out of the blue, the internet stopped working. We called AT&T out and they gave us a new modem. There are several devices in the house which use wireless (2 iPhones, Xbox 360, Wii) and my laptop is the only one having disconnect/reconnect issues. Sometimes just flat out won't even try to go online. I've been having to use my iPhone's wireless to bridge to my laptop.

I thought this mysterious white wire had something to do with it. I went online and looked up a disassemble guide. I completely opened my laptop, cut a length of wire, and pieced it in to attempt to "reconnect" the wire. Didn't work. I'm at a loss. I have no idea what is going on or how to fix it.

Here's the kicker: I only have the issues here. At my parent's house, I connect to their wireless with no problems. I thought the wire was a range issue. Nope. I can walk through the house with my laptop and be connected. I'm lucky to get online for 30 seconds here. Maybe it has something to do with the router. I'm not sure.

When I run diagnostics in Wireless Connection Network, I got this message "The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken" after 3 attempts. My laptop has been going to a blue screen whenever I try and run the diagnostic. I was lucky it didn't do that when I got the message.

If it helps, here's what I'm running off of (trying to at least):
Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4040 laptop
Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
Belkin_N_Wireless_22398F Router
Westell? Modem from AT&T

Please help me. I shouldn't have any issues as this computer is brand new! It's still under warranty, but I simply don't have the money to send it in for repairs. I'm about to pull my hair out from the frustration! And it doesn't help I don't understand anything about computers. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Fallout 4 steam hdmi audio issues help!?

Ok so im having trouble with my audio from my laptop to my tv via hdmi on fallout 4 through steam. Ill try to give as much info so you may be able to help me.

Problem- when I plug my hdmi cable from my laptop into my tv and run fallout 4 via steam the audio will only come through on my laptop instead of my tv.

What i know and have tried-
The hdmi cable is working properly, on my laptop i can play music or watch video on my tv with the hdmi cord and sound and video works flawlessly.

When I start fallout 4 with the hdmi to tv the cinemas have the audio that plays through my tv as its intended HOWEVER when cinema scene is over it goes back to playing audio through pc speakers......

WHY?

I mean if the hdmi cable was bad it wouldent play audio through the tv at all right? Also the video would most likely not work either. But the audio does work and even in fallout 4 but only in certain parts.

Im sorry for the overload on info but i cant find another problem like mine so I have no idea the solution..dateMy rig
