Help Postage Stamps Question Need Answer Asap

How many stamps do I need for this package?

We have no idea. It depends on:
- How much it actually weighs when it is all packed up.
- What USPS delivery category you use - first class, for example, or parcel post.

The BEST way to do this is to take it to a post office, hand it to a clerk and let them tell you the postage options.

Some post offices have self service scales where you can put in the origin and destination zip codes and it will allow you to either put in the right amount of cash for the postage, or maybe a credit card.

If you don't get enough postage, then it will be returned to you for more.

Math Question: a package requires $1.15 postage. How can I make the postage using a combination of stampes of?

let
x = # of $0.43 stamps
y = # of $0.12 stamps
so
0.43x + 0.12y = 1.15
0.12y = -0.43x + 1.15
y = -0.43/0.12 x + 1.15/0.12
and since no partial stamps can be used:
domain: x ∈ ℕ
range: y ∈ ℕ
so
the x-intercept is:
0 = -0.43/0.12 x + 1.15/0.12
0 = -0.43x + 1.15
-1.15 = -0.43x
2.67 ≈ x
which means there are only 3 possible values of x in the domain: {0, 1, 2}
so
if x = 0, then
   y = -0.43/0.12 (0) + 1.15/0.12
   y ≈ 9.58 → not in range
if x = 1 then
   y = -0.43/0.12 (1) + 1.15/0.12
   y = 6 → in range ✔
if x = 2 then
   y = -0.43/0.12 (2) + 1.15/0.12
   y ≈ 2.42 → not in range
and so
the only possible solution is
   1 $0.43 stamp and
   6 $0.12 stamps

How many stamps does it take to mail in a federal and state amended tax refund?

I assume you mean amended tax RETURN not tax REFUND. Refund is the term to describe the money you get back from filing a return.No one can answer this for except maybe the folks down at the post office. We have no idea how big the return is that you need to mail in. It could be just a couple of pages that fit in a #10 envelope with one stamp or it could be 50 pages that need a large envelope and priority mail postage.The cool thing is those folks at the post office have a scale and they can not only weight the envelope but also sell you the appropriate postage.

How many stamps should I put on a letter so it could get there faster?

Unless you are purchasing express mail (next day) or priority mail (2–3 day), the value of the stamps on the letter has nothing to do with the speed at which it will be delivered.50 - 1¢ stamps or 1 forever (current value 50¢) on a standard letter will get their equally quickly. If anything the multiple stamps might be slower due to the need to make sure you have both proper postage and didn’t obscure the delivery address.

How many stamps do I need to send a letter to Kentucky?

If you’re sending your letter (1 oz or less) from the US to another state in the US, you need 1 forever stamp, which is 47–49 cents, it jumps between those prices. If it is a parcel that exceeds the 1 oz limit, go into the post office and they will weigh it for you and charge accordingly.
