Help. Swollen Lymph Node Or Pulled Muscle

Swollen lymph nodes! help?

Swollen lymph nodes! help?
Okay, So I have had swollen lymph nodes in the top of my neck (beneath the muscle attaching your neck to your head) for over a year and have been causing intense pain through out my head, neck and back.
I've been to 6 different doctors and non of them are taking it seriously because they are so busy.
I looked up symptoms of swollen lymph nodes, and its either infection or cancer.

If you know what it means, I've had the following symptoms lately:
-night sweats
-fatigue
-loss of appitite
-weightloss(not a lot though, only a few pounds within this month)
-Severe tension headaches and migraines,
-nosebleeds
- Diffiulties swallowing food

Also if I push on the swollen lymph nodes (I have about 3, excluding the main one that is the most swollen that started this whole thing), it is enough to make me vomit.

Please if you have any advice, or answers concerning this, please help me!!
The pain never goes away and is only increasing.

Swollen lymph Node or pulled muscle?

On a Friday I went Laser tagging with some friends and I pulled a muscle in the right side my neck. After a few minutes the pain went away but on the Sunday I noticed a small swollen lump behind my right ear just where the bone meets the skin. I was a bit confused at the time but I thought it was just a symptom of the pulled muscle and treated it as such. The pain is now a bit worse as it hurts behind my ear quite a bit and also around the swollen lump. I haven't been taking any pain killers really and I have been rubbing deep heat on it which seemed to help. When I then searched it, most results came up as swollen lymph nodes. I believe this could be it but I'm not sure. I'm thinking of going to the doctor on friday as it will have been a week since I pulled my neck (Its currently a Tuesday) I'm not a huge fan of doctors and I don't really want to wait for one for an hour just to be told to take Panadol and put hot compresses on it.
anyone know what it might be or if it is just a swollen lymph node?
Thanks.

Swollen lymph node in neck do to pulled muscle in the leg?

I work out a lot. and usually am pretty careful. today i was doing legs and pulled/tore a muscle in my groin. doesnt feel too good. i was able to rack the weight and fainted. first time that has happened to me. when i came to i of course had had a lot of pain from the muscle but i also noticed my lymph node on one side of my neck had swelled up to the point where it is painful to swallow. coincidence? or some how connected to the injury?

Yes, lymph nodes you should consider as the sentinels guarding against infections, so are normal up to about half an inch in size, being elastic, not adhering to the tissue underneath so movable/mobile.

Will cipro help with swollen lymph nodes in the groin?

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking ciprofloxacin?

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin, or if:
- you are also taking tizanidine; or
- you are allergic to other fluoroquinolones (gemifloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin, and others).
You may not be able to use ciprofloxacin if you have a muscle disorder. Tell your doctor if you have a history of myasthenia gravis.
To make sure ciprofloxacin is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:
- a heart rhythm disorder, especially if you take medication to treat it;
- a personal or family history of Long QT syndrome;
- tendon problems, arthritis or other joint problems (especially in children);
- a muscle or nerve disorder;
- trouble swallowing pills;
- liver disease;
- kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis);
- seizures or epilepsy;
- a history of head injury or brain tumor;
- diabetes (especially if you take oral diabetes medication);
- low levels of potassium in your blood (hypokalemia);
- if you use a blood thinner (warfarin, Coumadin) and have "INR" or prothrombin time tests.
Ciprofloxacin may cause swelling or tearing of a tendon (the fiber that connects bones to muscles in the body), especially in the Achilles' tendon of the heel. This can happen during treatment or up to several months after you stop taking ciprofloxacin. Tendon problems may be more likely to occur if you are over 60, if you take steroid medication, or if you have had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant.
FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether ciprofloxacin will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication.
Ciprofloxacin can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine.

Swollen groin lymph nodes?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (primary care doctor), for consultation. Lymph glands play a part in the body's defense against infection. They may become swollen even if the infection is trivial or not apparent, although you can usually identify the infection that is causing the swelling.

Lymph glands in the groin are enlarged when there is infection in the feet, legs, or genital region. These glands are often swollen when no obvious infection can be found.

Observe the glands over several weeks to see if they are continuing to enlarge or if other glands become swollen. The vast majority of swollen glands that persist beyond three weeks aren't serious, but a doctor should be consulted if the glands show no tendency to become smaller. Soreness in the glands will usually disappear in a couple of days; the pain results from the rapid enlargement of the gland in the early stages of fighting the infection. The gland takes much longer to return to normal size than it does to swell up.

I hope this helps you. And good luck.

What causes swollen lymph nodes on the neck?

A doctor may discover an abnormal lump in the neck of a person who has no other symptoms. Most lumps are enlarged lymph nodes, which may enlarge because of a nearby infection, such as of the throat. However, an enlarged lymph node may also be caused by cancer,either a cancer of the lymph node (lymphoma) or a cancer that has spread to the lymph node from elsewhere in the body.
Swollen neck glands frequently accompany sore throat or ear infections. The swelling of a gland simply indicates that it is taking part in the fight against infection.

Help, swollen lymph nodes in groin region?

Hey, I've had these two to three lymph nodes for practically 10 - 15 years. Just recently today i noticed they're slightly bigger and i'm confused what could actually inflame them.

I'm not too worried about STI's or STD or any such.. because I've only had one partner and she never had any as well.. Plus i had a full blood test for all that type of such practically 5 months ago which was 100 percent clean.

Either way, could it be based on something from constipation? (which i just cleared up using miralax and such) ... or doing exercises with ab workouts? (Which I've been doing recently).

Just confused is why they would inflame up a bit after 10 years.. I always felt them.. but now they just seem bigger is all.

They don't hurt or anything.. or bother me to any point.. just irritates me knowing they are getting bigger for some odd reason. (They're about pea sized btw)

Thanks.

Swollen neck muscle?

The right side of my neck has been swollen for 2 weeks. I went to the doctor and he checked and said it probably is strained muscle. He suggested that if I'm still worried I can get an ultrascan.

I went a chinese doctor and he said that it's strained muscle and I'm easily allergic. That's why it has been swollen for so long

It's not painful and doesn't feel like lymph node. It sometimes shrinks and swollen again.

I wonder if anyone has same experience.

Thanks.
