Help With The Ios7 On Iphone

How can I update my iPhone 4S from iOS 7 to iOS 9 for free?

Upgrading your iDevice to desired iOS version is only possible untill Apple is signing those iOS.But your bad luck that Apple had stopped signing iOS 9 long before and I think iOS will be out of the track soon. So, you cannot upgrade your iOS 7 device to iOS 9.The last thing you are left with is go to updates and check which version you are gettingSettings -> About -> Software Update.ORGoto Download iOS Firmware for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch and Apple TV.And choose your iOS device and check which version is still signed by Apple (Green ones). You can upgrade to that version of iOS only. And as per my knowledge iPhone 4s is a 32bit device and doesn’t support iOS 11.At last : you can upgrade to iOS 10 only (10.3.3)Hope this will help :)

How can I download new apps on iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.2?

Here, I’ll assume that you’re talking about an app that you have never downloaded before. As long as the app is compatible with iOS 7, you’ll be able to download it.To check whether an app is compatible:Open the App StoreSearch for the appOpen its dedicated description pageScroll down to the information sectionLook for “Compatibility”If the iOS version is lower or equal to 7, then you’re OKIf you’ve already downloaded the app in the past, you’ll see a cloud icon instead of a normal button (Get or Buy).In that case, even if the latest version of the app is incompatible, you’ll be offered the choice to download an older (and compatible) version of the same app on your iDevice.Since you have an iPhone 4, you might be interested in having a look at other Quora answers of mine on this topic:Damien Schreurs's answer to Is an iPhone 4 really that out-of-date today? When updating to iOS 7, my iPhone says "Could Not Activate iPhone"?

I have an iPhone 4s that is not activated; I used to have Sprint, but my service was shut off. I can still use it when I have access to wifi. I just updated to iOS 7 and was going through setting my phone up. When i got to the step saying "It may take a few minutes to update your iPhone". After waiting, my phone said "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes. If this problem persists, contact Apple Support at apple.com/support". I connected my phone to iTunes to retry activation and searched on Apple Support, but could not find out what was wrong or something I could do. Does this mean I can't use my iPhone with iOS 7 if I do not have an activated iPhone? If so, is there anyway to change back to iOS 6 or get out of the set up screen?

Can I install IOS 8/9/10 manually on iPhone 4? Will it be able to run it?

No. The iPhone 4 does not, in any case, support any version of iOS later than iOS 7.1.2. The iPhone 4 does not support iOS 8, iOS 9, and will not support iOS 10. Apple has not released a version of iOS later than 7.1.2 that is physically compatible with an iPhone 4— that being said, there is no way for you to “manually” upgrade your phone— and for good reason. Apple has not allowed the iPhone 4 to support these more recent versions of iOS because the hardware simply can't handle it. iOS 7 on the iPhone 4 is already slow and sluggish— imagine iOS 9 or even iOS 10. It will be a terrible experience. The iPhone 4 is a six year old phone now— and if you are still carrying it around, I would recommend upgrading, if and when possible.
