Help With Windows 8.1 Drivers And Also Acer R7 571

Help with windows 8.1 drivers, and also Acer R7 571?

Hi,

I was hoping somebody could help me regarding updating the drivers on windows 8.1.

With the new update, from windows 8 to 8.1, the bluetooth driver doesn't work (a common issue seemingly). I went onto Acer Drivers website and updated both the bluetooth and the wifi drivers, but what I want to know is, do I need to uninstall the old drivers? Because the bluetooth still doesn't work..

Also I have been having, prior to the update, some issues with the wifi on the Acer R7 571. It will not connect to the router unless you are next to it, although all other devices are not an issue. Even less than 20 feet away it will either not detect the router, not allow me to connect to the router (eg. tells me I need to troubleshoot, but still to no avail) or it will connect but not load any webpage?

Please ask for any specifications and I'll try and clarify.

i appreciate your help.

Cheers!

Where is the ethernet port on Acer Aspire?

Many members of the Acer Aspire series, such as the V5, are too thin for an Ethernet port and instead use a proprietary connector. That port on the side near the HDMI port and it provides Ethernet and VGA through a special adapter. The adapter comes with the laptop, but many people end up misplacing it or forgetting to provide it when selling the unit to someone. My Aspire uses the LAN/VGA Combo Port Cable (Part # AK.LAVGCA.001)Newer units may have a MiniCP port instead, which uses the Acer Converter Cable (Mini CP to VGA/LAN/USB) (Part # NP.OTH11.00C)

I installed Windows 10 on my Acer laptop, but my Bluetooth is not showing in Device Manager. How do I fix it?

Officially acer has excluded this model from Windows 10 update. But still we have that update forcefully(same thing happened with me on my dell laptop). So I had to manually upgrade/update the driverFor that do following:-1)In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, select it from the list of results, and then expand Other devices in Device Manager.2)Select the unknown device, right click it, and then select Properties.3)Select the Details tab, and then select Hardware Ids from the Property list.Look for the hardware ID for the Bluetooth radio. The hardware ID typically looks like this, where {ID} is a series of numbers and/or letters: USB\VID_{ID}&PID_{ID}4.Right click the hardware ID, and then select Copy.5.Search on the web for the hardware ID you copied to try find the name of the Bluetooth radio manufacturer. After that, visit the Bluetooth hardware or your PC manufacturer’s website to download a Bluetooth driver that’s compatible with Windows 10.For more support:-https://support.microsoft.com/en...The last step would be reverting back to previous compatible windows. If you wish to use Bluetooth.
