Second, those of us on this site responding to questions like these are (generally) fans. As such, we’re all entitled to promote our favorite - as long as you admit your leanings. Facts, however, often tell a different story - one that dispels much of the myths concerning the type of niche each writer supposedly inhabits.For example, a cursory look at the Beatles repertoire gives rise to these assumptions: Paul wrote love songs, pop, predictable lyrics and complicated musical arrangements; John wrote acerbic words, meaningful lyrics and avant-garde arrangements. Yet, it was Paul who introduced the cutting-edge world of art, music and fashion to John though his exposure to a trio of avant-garde London practitioners in ’65 - ‘66. This influence directly affected some of John’s later works…not to mention his meeting Yoko. (Paul had already made those connections of like-minded artists.) Likewise, John could be counted on to write songs with complicated and progressive chord arrangements. Is Adele overrated? And why does everyone say she makes them cry?
Adele definitely has talent. She also has a unique sound that many people gravitate towards HOWEVER, in my honest opinion, yes she is very overrated. Her songs have no diversity. They are all sad and depressing. You can play them at a club, or a wedding, a party, etc I believe a true artist is diverse in what they do. Many say Beyoncé is overrated, but she is an example of one who can sing a slow emotional song or a fast and upbeat party song, and do both equally as well. Whitney Houston is another who has an incredible, powerful voice, but can switch up how she sings. So all in all, Adele is overrated...
Ben Moody -- question about Evanescence?
Hey. Does anyone know if Ben Moody was the main writer of most of evanescences songs before. I see that him and amy lee co-wrote some songs, but evanescences new cd just doesn't sound like the same style at all. I really don't like it near as much. I am just curious what anyone can tell me about ben's contributions to the band. Also, did him and Amy date and it that was caused the split? I've been waiting for their new cd and it just isn't very good in my opinion. I'm wondering if this is because of losing ben.

i'm sorry to say that you need to get over her. i've been this girl, like Q. i turned him down again and again, was so nice and warm toward him it was confusing for him, kind of flirty, kissed him occasionally. he took it as a sign that something was going to happen. guess what, it never did! after three years of these games he finally said to me: K, i love you but i'm going to get over you. and he completely got out of touch with me for a year. now he has a lovely girlfriend as is the happiest he's ever been. the girl that will get you in the end will be very lucky because you seem really romantic, don't waste all that romance on a girl that doesn't appreciate it! good luck.
