Hi For Various Experiments I Kept On Shutting Down And Booting My Pc Multiple Times No Problems

Why does My processor fan stops spinning and the pc shuts down?

A very comprehensive description you have there.I too think its the fan which has troubles. And it is the thermal cutoff kicking in to save you CPU.I ran into similar problems too 2 years ago and eventually, changing the cooler helped (since I couldn't find a replacement fan). Since you have already tried taking out multiple components - most importantly the motherboard - the cooler is the best guess. But there are VERY TINY chances that the SMPS might have problems. Its next to none but I would leave no stones unturned especially since a few of my "guesses" turned out wrong recently. So have your SMPS checked too, just in case.

How do I stop my Android Lollipop from "Optimizing app" on boot?

Hey there! I hope I can list some information that can help. I know how aggravating it is when something goes haywire after an update.I did some research on this issue specifically and found it to be a known issue. There are others going through the same situation. Here are some steps to try:First, I would try to recall if the issue happened after installing an app and if so, remove it. You can always reinstall an app that is a must have. (This is hit or miss but worth troubleshooting.)Second, I would try the troubleshooting steps provided by Motorola. The following steps were released in an effort to resolve the issue:1. Ensure the device is powered off, and unplugged2. Press and hold the Volume Down button and Power button (located on the right edge of the device) for approximately 3 seconds then release.3. From the "Boot Mode Selection Menu" screen, select Recovery.Note: Use the Volume Down button to scroll through the menu options and the Volume Up button to select.4. From the "No Command" screen (Android figure lying on his back), press and hold the Power button then press and release the Volume Up button to display the menu options.5. Select "wipe cache partition".Note: Use the Volume buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.6. "Reboot system now" will be highlighted, press the Power button to select it.Note: Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.Third, if that doesn’t work, there is always the option to restore to factory settings. I know it is normally the least desirable but it is effective. I would back up as much information as the situation will allow. The last step, if not already done, would be to contact your carrier for their tech support department. These situations can sometimes be carrier specific. If you have insurance or mobile protection through Asurion, that gives you a couple of options. Total Mobile Protection will give you one on one support that will be with you until the end. Devices, when purchased new, come with a one year warranty. If you have insurance, it could be extended to a two year warranty. If it’s within the one year warranty and there is no liquid / physical damage, Motorola would generally replace the device. Here are a couple of resources for you -"Android is Starting" "Optimizing App x of xxx" With Restarts of the phone 5.1 VerizonOptimizing apps on every rebootHow to fix 'Android is starting' optimization on every boot?Hope this helps!

Can "junk files "slow down your computer?my computer is running slow,I was andering if that could be part of

There are many things which can slow down a computer. One of which is junk files. But also having too many processes running or programs can slow down your computer as well. Remember the computer can only do one task at a time. Try emptying your prefetch files and defragment. Both are good ways of speeding up your computer. Add more ram if possible.

Black screen boot, mouse pointer, ctrl alt del, no signal?

Hi Shadowilinise,

I would suggest you to perform the following troubleshooting steps which may resolve the issue:

1.Disconnect external peripherals like printers, to check if any of the external devices are causing the issue.

2. Also, perform flea power on the laptop. Remove the AC adapter, battery and any external peripherals connected, now hold the power button down for 10 seconds to drain static power. Restart the system and check if issue is resolved.

3. Try to boot to Safe Mode. To boot the computer in Safe Mode, please switch on the computer and start tapping the F8 key which would take you to Advanced Boot Option screen. Using the up and down arrow key, select Safe Mode to boot the computer into Safe Mode.

If yes, perform System Restore to roll back the system to the time when it was working fine. Refer to the link: http://dell.to/1137HoH

4. If you are able to boot in Safe Mode, you may also perform clean boot. Click Start > type msconfig.exe in the Start Search and hit Enter. On the General tab, click Selective Startup, and click to clear the Load startup items check box. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and click Disable all. Now restart the computer in normal mode and check.

5. If you are not able to boot the system to Safe Mode, boot to Windows Recovery & try system restore outside windows environment. Refer to the link: http://dell.to/1137HoH

6. The issue still remains run Start Up repair from the Windows CD. Insert the Windows CD and shut down the system. Once you power on keep tapping F12 key to start from CD/DVD. Choose Repair your computer after Windows Loading files. Now select Startup Repair.

Startup Repair can fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. It cannot fix hardware failures, such as a failing hard disk or incompatible memory.

After Startup Repair is complete, restart the system and check. The issue still remains, run hardware diagnostics on the system.

7. All tests pass but the issue still remains, you may perform Operating System Reinstallation using the Windows CD. Refer to the link to guide you through the steps of Operating System Reinstallation: http://dell.to/140lPlq

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards

My laptop heats up quickly and shuts down. Why is it that this may happen? What can be done to rectify it?

Over a period of time, Dust and Lint might have accumulated in and around the Cooling Fan and Heat Sink of your Laptop, causing the Fan to slow down, consequent temperature rise and shutdown of the Laptop to protect its Processor from getting damaged. You can try cleaning the Cooling Fan and Heat Sink yourself with a Vacuum Cleaner or Air Blower.  Use a Vacuum Cleaner (Suction end) >> Cover its Suction Nozzle with a Soft and Clean Lintfree Cloth (to reduce the Suction Pressure) you can use a Rubber Band to secure it>> Switch On the Vacuum Cleaner >> First Hold it close to the Air Inlet Vent on the Base of the Laptop (if there is one) >> Then repeat the procedure by placing the Nozzle close to the Air Outlet Vent on the side/ back of the Laptop. The Dust collected from the Vents would accumulate on the Cloth on the Nozzle. Remove Dust from the Cloth,  repeat the procedure above, on both the Air Intake and Outlet Vents using the Blower end of the Vacuum Cleaner or with a Handheld Air Blower (at its lowest speed). The above mentioned procedure should resolve the problem. You can repeat the procedure on a quarterly basis and keep your Laptop running cool. In case the above mentioned procedure does not resolve the problem, get the Cooling Fan of your Laptop checked at its authorised service centre.PS: Do not use the Blower at a High Speed as it might cause the Cooling Fan to go out of alignment and result in intermittent noise.

Dell dimension 3100 won't boot, why?

Blue screens can be cause by bad ram, viruses, and other things as well. Try pulling the ram out and testing only 1 stick of ram at a time to determine if 1 stick of ram is the culprit.
Or it may be a virus ....I think if you tap F8 during the post screen you can boot in SAFE MODE.
If you get to the desktop. Download COMBOFIX from bleepingcomputer....here is the link...
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/
Click on the blue download button to download it. Use a spare computer and put it on a usb flash drive to get it to the problem pc. Copy and paste it to the desktop. Disable Antivirus before running it. Let it run from Step 1 to Step 50 then it starts removing viruses. Wait patiently until you see a white text screen. You should then restart your pc at that point and try to log in again normally. Blue screen should be gone. If all else fails. Reload PC with a fresh installation of Windows and see if problem persists.
