SHOULD I CALL TO KOHL'S AFTER INTERVIEW?

Hi, I agree with Blah, you should call and ask to speak to a manager and try to find out what you need to do next. Yes, Kohl's is a great company to work for and they usually only hire competent people. So if you've already been given the form for the drug test it means that they want to hire you. Kohl's is actually my favorite place to shop and I happen to also work there. I love all the bargains and discounts I get there.

Kohls interview questions & tips?

Hi! I am 16 , never had a job before & a little nervous. I went to a interview at jimmy johns & they were very rude to me , also unprofessional . I decided to tell them I had changed my mind . I applied at Kohls to be a beauty sales associate. They called me today & set up a interview on Monday. To be honest I would work any position though. I am going to wear a flower home looking dress & a black blazer with high heels . I think that is fine . I would like to know if anyone has tips or knows what they do during an interview ?

What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?

Question: What would you wear to a job orientation, or training?Actually, the only person that can really answer this would be your recruiter. Ask to find out what expected dress code is for orientation. In many of my jobs, had I shown up in a suit to orientation I would have been way over dressed. Business casual was actually a bit too formal as well. The corporate culture will determine the expected attire as well the global location.Finance, banking, and consulting are typically semi formal or business attire here in the US. East Coast US vs. West Coast US will also mean that the dress code definition will be different. EC business casual is VERY different than what you would find in LA or San Francisco.   So, to sum up: ask your recruiter or new manager what the expected attire will be for orientation. This is a completely appropriate question and is likely well received.

What is appropriate for a teenage girl to wear to a retail job interview?

I have a job interview at Kohl's and I'm not sure what I should wear. I'm 17 and a little overweight so I don't feel comfortable wearing a skirt. I have boot cut dress pants or my mom suggested I wear my black capris, they come to about mid calf but is that okay for an interview? It's going to be 82 degrees. And I'm not quite sure what to wear for a top..I have this floral blouse that this girl is wearing:

I'm not sure if that would be good? Or I have plane colored shirts that are a longer short sleeve and have gold buttons on the shoulder and I could wear gold jewelry with them but they are pretty casual. And with whatever I decide to wear I think I'm going to wear my black ballet flats with a little gold detailing.
I'm also going to do medium size curls in my hair and do my makeup light but impressive because I'm applying for a job in the beauty department.
Any advice would be appreciated, this is my first job interview. Thanks! :)

Does kohls require references for future employees with no job experience?

Hi, I have an interview with Kohl's this Monday and I'm really nervous about the reference part. I'm 17 and I have never had a job before. I'm really nervous because I don't have any references and I'm worried that might he a deal breaker. So is Kohl's strict on references or do you think if I gave them a really good interview they wouldn't care? Thank you.

What do I put on my resume if I have no prior experience?

This is nothing to be embarassed about. Since you are still a college student, your previous jobs don't define you. (And even if someone isn't a college student, their previous jobs don't have to define them as well.)And ofcourse the resumés are not only about the work experiences. I don't get it if you are seeking an advice on how to build your whole CV or only the work experience part but here are some advices:1) Be simple, keep it shortIt is better to have an one paged CV. Since the people who are reading CV won't have much time, they would read only the highlights.2) Be simple, don't exaggerate the design issueIf you are nt a designer, artist etc. Black&White design with some efficiently used lines and dots would work. I also like to add a footer with my name, contact infos etc.3) IntroductionIntroduce yourself briefly but impressively. I like to add a part that says "profile:" before everything and after my name and contact infos.e.g.: Enthusiastic industrial designer with CATIA, Solidwork experience.4) SkillsAdd your skills but please be true.5) Education, Internships, Volunteering Experiences and HobbiesOfcourse have different parts for every one them and if you are worried about your CV being too empty you can explain what you have done during your education, community service etc. briefly (needless to say)I personally didn't add my hobbies (filled a form though) but some say it is better if you add your "interesting" hobbies especially if team work is involved.6)Most important of all don't exaggerate. :) I have seen people who ruined their interviews because of these kind of things.7) Don't be boring :)I know a black&white designed CV sound pretty boring but you can always beautify it with your words. Be someone who you would want to read and get to know.8) Be creative!9) Have self confidence! :)Feel free to ask if you have any other questions about your resumé and share it with us! Good luck!

In the sentence "We appreciate you taking the time to X," should it be "you" or "your"?

Technically, when we ‘appreciate’, we ‘appreciate’ something. Here the ‘something’ we ‘appreciate’ is someone’s action (taking the time to X). Now either version here would be an understandable shorthand way to get our point across. But I think ‘your’ is probably more technically correct because the sentence would still make perfect sense if you added the words ‘action in’ after ‘your’.

What are the various ways to enhance your CV during your college years?

1. Strong Technical skills in core parts.2. Certifications in specific domains (It adds greater value to the resume, because they can adhere the logo's of certified industries in the market).3. Volunteering experiences in NGO and service organizations.4. Active participation's in Symposiums, National/International level conferences (Organizing the teams, which depicts the team player roles very well).5. IEEE paper presentations with handy outputs.6. Mini projects that exhibiting the current technologies.7. Good and even (not fluctuating more) academic scores (university toppers are added advantage).8. Extra curricular activities include, zonal level winning in sports, Inter-college dance/music competitions, etc.9. Internships in doing main project (It also paves the way for getting selected into that interned company itself).10. Attending as many workshops & Inplant Training's thereby gaining good knowledge about current trends and so one can be well updated too (Jack of all trades by knowing atleast basics as well, because Engineering means innovations and one must keep learning always).
