Hi I Am Applying To Visit Uk As A Family Visitor Visa

Can I Apply For UK Family Visa?

No. There is no chain migration in the UK like America. You can only apply to join family in the UK if you are the elderly parent or grandparent, spouse or child of a settled person or a British citizen.

Uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters are not direct relatives. You would only be able to apply in the most exceptional compassionate circumstances.

I am a Pakistani citizen and on visitor's visa in US. Can I visit my family in UK?

The previous answers are either wrong or misinformed or both. This is a good example of why you should not ask for immigration advice on Quora. You can apply for a UK Standard Visitor visa (or a short-term student visa or an EEA family permit) in any country, not just in your home country. See that link for the application process and online form. For further information, see ECB05: where to apply, the policy.

How can I apply for a visitor visa for the UK from Pakistan without having any kind of sponsor from the UK?

There is no need for a sponsor for a tourist/visitor visa to the UK. They simply need you to show proof of the following:Sufficient money to pay for your travel, hotels, food, etc. for the trip.An understanding of how much things will really cost e.g. hotel/airplane reservation print outs showing costs. That you are an honest and upstanding individual without any criminal past or links to other untoward agents. That your are truly a tourist and not an immigrant looking to stay in the UK indefinitely. Typically this takes the form of deeds for properties/car and other expensive items hat you own and must return to collect, plus letters from your employer stating that you have been given leave and are expected to return on a certain date.

When applying for a US visitor visa, is it advisable to disclose that the person is my boyfriend?

US consular officers get pretty good at being able to tell when a visa applicant is lying; we don’t necessarily know what the lie is, but know that it’s there so will refuse the applicant just on that principle. So it’s best to simply tell the truth frankly and openly. Many, many friends and lovers of US citizens acquire US tourist visas every day.True story here:While working the visa line in Paris, in about 1988, I refused a visa to a young man from (I think) Yugoslavia, a refugee in Paris with a girlfriend in the US, no home, no job, no family in France, no passport except for a French refugee travel document, and very good English. A textbook-perfect intending immigrant. When I refused him, he said, “Yes, I figured you’d say that and it’s okay. It’s just that I have a job lined up that won’t start until next month, she’s on a school break, and this is the perfect time to see her and meet her family. Thanks anyway.”Couldn’t get him out of my mind. I KNEW he was telling the truth. So the next day I asked one of the FSNs to find his application form, we called him, asked him to come back in, sent a cable to Washington asking permission to issue a visa (a procedural formality required because he had no valid passport), and sent him off with my best wishes.A month later who should come striding into the consular section but the young man himself, his US girlfriend with him, to show me that he had returned, she had decided to move to Paris to be with him, and my trust was not misplaced. He gave me a sweet, touching gift - a cheap picture book of Budapest, that I got permission from my boss to accept and still have. Thousands and thousands of visa applicants later, he’s one that I will never forget.

I am an Indian applying for a UK tourist visa. I plan to stay with my friends who are studying at LSE. Should I show some hotel bookings/flight tickets in advance?

In my opinion you should not mention about your friend’s details in the application. In that case he need to give you guarantee and all will come in to picture..I can tell what I did personally..Book a Hostel/Hotel using Booking.com: The largest selection of hotels, homes, and vacation rentals which is 100% refundable.. they are easy to get. Just cancel them once the VISA stamped..Flight Ticket, No need to purchase the ticket, Only itinerary is required, still you can do a better thing.. Just go to Qatar Airlines Website, Book a ticket using Pay Later Option and generate the ticket.. This hold will automatically been removed.Don’t spend a single penny unless your VISA is stamped apart from VISA expenses.Do the Flight Ticket As soon as you receive VISA and also better to book any internal travel tickets by train or any other mode well in advance to get them cheap.Wish you happy journey.

What are "sufficient funds" for a UK tourist/family visa?

There is no set amount - if there were, then it would be stated.“Sufficient” means no more or less than what it normally means. In the context of international travel that entails: transport, accommodation, food and drink, sightseeing or other planned activities, travel within the country, contingencies (i.e. travel insurance), and a reasonable buffer just in case. You will need to have flights and accommodation sorted before you apply anyway (if you don’t, the application will most likely be rejected). For the rest, show them your budget plan. It doesn’t have to be too granular - just, for example:Day 3: trip to LondonTrain fare for two people: £30Lunch and dinner for two: £60Museums: freeTheatre tickets for two: £100Shopping on Oxford Street: £200Needless to say, the total budgeted amount should be more than supported by your combined bank balances (i.e., don’t budget a £5,000 holiday if you only have £3,000 between you). Also, any support from people other than the applicant (including the applicant’s British spouse) must be supported and evidenced. Get them to write a letter for you to include, attach copies of their ID documents, and include bank statements and any other relevant documents. A common example of this is if you are staying with in-laws during the trip - in that case they need to write a letter, supply copies of their passports, and supply the deed or lease for their property. All this may sound excessive, but having helped my wife apply for two visitor’s visas and a spouse visa I can promise you that it is not. Unless your bank account shows six figures, take it seriously.
