How can I uninstall Lenovo HD audio manager, and install just regular Realtek HD audio manager?
Hi, I have a Lenovo Think Centre Edge 72 PC. The PC came with Lenovo variation of Realtek HD audio manager. The problem is that the Lenovo software really lacks some features such as detecting jack, using the rear blue jack for headphones, and so on. The only option I have in "advanced settings" is "Disable front panel detection", and that really isn't enough. When I uninstall it via control panel, and download Realtek HD audio manager from Realtek official web page (Windows 8, 64 bit), it automatically installs Lenovo manager again. I just can't get rid of it. Thanks in advance.
What's a good laptop for engineering student?
Ok so I was accepted into the state of Georgia's Governor's Honors Program this summer. I am going for Mathematics. Just last week my old laptop died. Me and my dad decided I would need a new one for the program and possibly college (I'm a junior). I plan to major in an engineering field although as of now I am undeclared. As I did some research I came across a couple such as the HP Envy 15, Toshiba Lenova, Macbook Pro, and a Dell laptop of which I lost the source and cannot remember the name. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas. Some of the aspects I am looking for are: lightweight (to easily carry around all day) Not too massive Long battery life expected to last and still be running well for about 5 years (to make it through college) With all this in mind I have little knowledge of the hardware recommendations of an engineering laptop so I'm not sure what to look for in that regard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
