Hi I Wanted To Know About My Chances Of Getting Accepted In Another Universities If I Failed In The

What are my chances getting accepted into Radford University?

I am a senior in high school that started this year with a 2.6 GPA and a 980 SAT score. We are finished with our first semester, where my semester grades were: A(Psychology), A(Entrepreneurship), A(English 12), B(Advanced Government), C(Algebra II), C(Chemistry). I am looking to get an advanced diploma. I sent my application in early January, and I am a in-state applicant. I am off to a horrible start to the 3rd nine weeks with all A's and 2 F's (Math & Chemistry) but look to get my grades up, and hope they accept me based on my FIRST semester. I received a letter from Radford, about 2 weeks before the report just letting me know they are interested in my application and want to see my semester grades. So what I am asking the Yahoo Answers community, is what do you think my chances of getting accepted???

What are my chances of getting into the University of Michigan if I failed some of my freshman year of high school?

Michigan has always been known as one of the few schools that don't use freshman grades when calculating your GPA. So I suppose you can take some solace in that. But I assume you want to hear straight talk on Quora and not just “sure there is a chance” talk. Michigan is one of the best public universities in the country. The school’s acceptance rate is around 28%. They are looking for and are able to attract elite students from across the country and in countries across the globe. If you start poorly in high school and are still focused on getting into a top school, whether Michigan or someplace else, the answer is going to be the same. You will have to do two things: (1) kick butt during your next three years and (2) explain to schools why you failed during your freshman year and how you were able to turn things around during your sophomore and junior years. Do those two things and everything will work out for you. Good luck.

I failed two years of university, but I want another chance. Can I still have a chance after taking remediation courses?

Absolutely. In fact, many universities have some variation of “Freshman forgiveness”, in which you may have your failing freshman courses erased after successfully completing the classes a second time.During my doctoral study, I worked as an Academic Advisor in just such a program. Students in the Forgiveness program were required to meet regularly with an academic advisor, and obtain whatever support they needed: tutoring, time management and study skills, mental health counseling, part-time work-study…it depended on the situation. If they did so, and maintained a reasonable GPA, the initial failing grades were dropped and replaced with the new grades. Not averaged: replaced.I encourage you to contact your school and ask them what their policy is regarding remediation. In many cases, you may have to demonstrate hardship. This can mean anything from parental divorce to mental health issues (anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorder) to family financial crisis to learning disabilities. Provided you can document the difficulty, and demonstrate that you are addressing it, many schools will work with you. What they will not do is let you make the same mistake twice, so be prepared to work, and to do things differently. Some of the students I worked with then are working as teachers now. Yay!!!

I just failed two college classes. Have I ruined my chances of transferring to a four-year school?

My freshman fall semester, I failed three classes. Miserably. Two years later, I transferred to my now alma mater and graduated with my BA (with honors!)You absolutely have NOT ruined your chances. It does depend on what four-year school you’re planning on applying to (you probably won’t have a good chance of getting into a fairly prestigious school) but that by no means limits you.I don’t know why you failed and really that’s no one’s business but your own. Just focus on passing your next classes with flying colors. After failing, I tried incredibly hard to get A’s and B’s in my classes (and I succeeded). Prove to the future admissions committee that it was a one time deal, prove that you can put in the work and be successful, and prove that you don’t let two failed classes burden you from doing well in your others. Best of luck.

Does my high school attendance affect my chances in getting into college?

Depends on your school rules: you could be failed due to unattendance and that will not look good on your record.they will think you won't attend their school and skip most of the time and they basically want students that will represent their school well.in my school if i missed ten days annd did not attend saturday school,i would fail due to unattendance(without doctors note of course) regardless of how well i did in my classes.

If I failed one class in high school, are my chances of going to a university less likely?

Good grief, no.There are 78 colleges within easy commuting distance around me. (Collegesimply › colleges/california/riverside)How hard could it be to find acceptance in several of them? When I was on a scholarship awarding board we looked at high school GPA; we almost never looked at individual grades. If I had seen your Algebra II grades I would have thought, "Oh, good. This student is not a quitter."The demand for entrance into the top 5 or 6 universities int he United States makes them quite selective, but ever there their fetish for sex, race, religion, and political qualifications along with their alumni to be satisfied makes admission a crazy-quilt of chances. For anyone wanting a college education at one of the 4,140 accredited four year schools in the United States, (https://www.infoplease.com/us/hi...) acceptance is almost assured. If you just cannot get accepted at a four year institution, get yourself into one of the 1,462 community college for two years. www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ovae/pi/cclo/ccfacts.html) An AA degree transfers anywhere, as you have already proven that you can do college level work.

Can i still get into a university if my High school gpa is below a 2.0?

If I'm failing my first semester at college, what should I do?

Having been there, done that (back in the 80s) let me first say this: don't just walk away with your tail between your legs. I did, and it took me almost 20 years to go back for my degree.First, make an appointment with your academic advisor, and another one with your school's counseling center. Your advisor should be able to help you salvage your learning plan and get you on track for the Spring. Your counseling center can help set you up with services that can help you get organized, gain confidence, and get a tutor, if needed. Also, there may be some issues you may be dealing with (depression, anxiety) that kept you from doing your best.In order of importance for doing better this Spring:#1 Attend classes. - GO. Be present. Don't skip. I repeat, don't skip. Take notes. Be present. Doodle. Sit in front. Talk to the professor. Engage with your fellow students.#2 Do the readings. Read them in a funny voice if you have to, read them out loud, or do books on tape. #3 Use visualization - before going to bed, visualize your next day, what you intend to do. Set yourself up for the next day (books and supplies you need, notes, etc.) and lay out your clothes.#4 Save partying, socializing to weekends. Don't pledge a frat/sorority til Sophomore year, if possible.Stick with it through to summer. Wait before you decide this thing is not for you (it might not be.) But give yourself another chance. Take care of yourself. Eat right and get enough sleep. You got in, so obviously you are capable of the work. It's normal to feel isolated and overwhelmed. Use the resources on your campus (that you are paying for) to help you through the rest of the year.

Does failing Bible class one semester of high school affect your chance at getting into college?

I go to a Christian school, and my Bible teacher is stupid, and almost the entire class failed this semester. I know failing Bible can't make you fail the grade. Do colleges care about Bible if they aren't Christian colleges? I don't plan on going to a normal college to begin with because I plan on going to beauty school, but still. I don't want this to ruin my chances in case I change my mind. Thanks in advance.
