Hit my eardrum with a q-tip but no blood that I know of?
To be perfectly sure you didn't damage your eardrum, go to a neighborhood urgent care center and ask them to look at your ear with one of those little flashlights with the funnel-shaped device on it. It will be normal if it's irritated and red after you poked around in there. However, if they see any damage, you should be referred to an ear specialist. I don't think bleeding or no bleeding would be the most accurate way to tell if there's damage. For the future: Quit probing around in your ear with Q-tips, curettes, bobby pins, or any other solid object! At drugstores you can get a little kit consisting of a wax-softening solution and a rubber syringe shaped like a pointed bulb. Lying on your side with your sore ear uppermost, have someone drip a small amount of the solution into your ear, and let it work for a little while. Then get up, undress, get into the shower, and fill the bulb with warm water (not hot – more like bath temperature). Keep squirting warm water from the syringe into your ear, to rinse out the softened wax. It may take repeated rinsings, for a few minutes.

Today while I was getting ready for school I was cleaning out my ears with a Q-tip and I hit my arm against a wall and accidentally pushed the Q-tip way too far into my ear. it hurt really bad but I didn't think that anything would be wrong so I just kept getting ready and didn't tell anyone and just went to school. during first period Blood started going down my face and I could feel it coming from inside my ear. I wiped it off my face and continued throughout the day because the bleeding seemed to stop. now I'm home and my ear hurts even worse and there is a ton of blood in my ear. I can barely open my mouth because it hurts so bad. The pain is spreading to my jaw. what should I do? should I go to the emergency room?

It generally hurts like the dickens when I accidentally hit my eardrum with a Q-tip. Ear drums are pretty tough (I had to have one punctured once to drain an infection). So I doubt you punctured yours. If your hearing diminishes in that ear or you have any pain you probably ought to see a doctor. Actually, I doubt there's much they can do for a torn ear drum. When they pulled the drain tube out of mine they just let it heal up on its own - no stitches.
I hit my eardrum with a q tip on accident?
I was crying so hard, it hurt so bad. all day at school everything was fine. and when i got home it was like water was in my ear and I couldn't get it out. its still like that. and now when i put my finger in its like the tiniest bit of blood. im so scared. what should i do? is there a problem? will it go away? please help me!
Q -Tip too far in ear, anyone do this?
About a week and a half ago, I was cleaning out my ears, ansd may have put the q -tip in too far, I felt a sharp pain a removed it right away. There was no blood, no hearing loss. It seems to hurt on and off though, anyone else do this before?

than likely you hit your eardrum. Observe for signs of: continued pain, discharge or loss of hearing. All of those would be signs that you punctured your eardrum. My brother did that with a QTIP and he lost his hearing. See how it is in the morning. If the pain is gone, then assume that you hit your eardrum, but did not puncture it. If it is worse, you will need treatment with Cortisone and antibiotics.
Hellpp. Jammed a Q-tip in my ear while cleaning it!?
I was cleaning my ear with a Q-Tip, but then I accidentally hit it and it went down about halfway down. So I pulled it out by now. There was no blood but it hurts a lot. But I'm sooo shaky and scared that I damaged my ear drum. Oh and plus I'm so dizzy I just want to know if it could be anything? Is my ear okay..?
